Our Kid Zone has experienced caregivers who will take care of your child(ren) for up to two hours while you work out, swim, or attend a fitness class. HOW IT WORKS
The Jump Start Card is valid for 90 days from the start date written on the back of the attached card. Ask a YMCA staff member to initial a spot after completion of each activity. Visit the front desk when you complete 2 spaces and 4 spaces to receive Y swag. Complete 8 spaces for your choice of a YMCA bag (multiple styles available). The more you try at the Y, the more rewards you can claim!
FITNESS ORIENTATION

ROCK WALL
The Y has 80+ pieces of cardiovascular equipment in the fitness center. From treadmills and ellipticals to stair climbers and rowing machines, you’ll find what you need to get your heart pumping.
Take your fitness to new heights on the 1,550 square foot indoor climbing wall. The Y offers an Auto-Belay Qualification Class and climbing camps throughout the year.
STRENGTH
The Y has a large collection of free weights and 45+ pieces of strength training equipment. Be sure to schedule a Fitness Orientation to learn more about all the equipment and get the most out of your strength training.

HOW IT WORKS

FRONT DESK / GREETER
The Y is the front porch of our community and we’re looking for people who want to help their neighbors. In this position, you’ll get to know our members and guests, assist with questions or requests, and provide excellent customer service.
CUSTODIAL / MAINTENANCE
A quality member experience at the Y begins with maintaining a healthy environment. This is accomplished through consistent cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment. We’re looking for people with maintenance skills, an interest in general deep cleaning, and more.
KID ZONE HELPER
Kid Zone is a safe and fun environment where kids play, create, and explore while their parents or caregivers workout. If you love kids and are looking to make a positive impact in a child’s day, this is the right opportunity for you! Part time employment opportunities are also available.
YOUTH SPORTS COACH
This is where the love for a sport begins! We’re looking for people who enjoy working with kids, have sport-specific knowledge, and can be a role model for sportsmanship and fair play. We do all the heavy lifting so you can have a rewarding coaching experience!
HOME SCHOOL GYM HELPER
Homeschool Gym at the Y is a great way to work physical activity, socialization, and play into a child’s homeschool curriculum. We’re looking for people who enjoy working with kids and can assist with the execution of a sports-based physical activity curriculum. This opportunity is available September - May.

ST. CLOUD AREA FAMILY YMCA
USE OF FACILITY
Children 10 years and older can use the facilities without parental supervision in the basketball courts, and general downstairs areas. All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (age 18 & up), unless in an organized, supervised program such as youth sports, martial arts, or swim lessons.
USE OF POOL
For your child’s safety, children age 8 and under must be accompanied by a parent/adult (18 and up) when using a YMCA swimming pool unless in an organized supervised program such as swim lessons. Children under the age of 8 must always be in arms-reach of said parent/adult while in the water. The ratio of children under 8 to adults should not exceed 3:1 in non-program activities.
18+ may use the sauna, steam room and hot tub. Proper swimsuits must be worn in pool areas.
USE OF FITNESS SPACES
Children ages 10-14 wishing to use the Fitness Center (upstairs) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and must be in the same room. Example if parent is in the cardio room, they need to be in the cardio room where you can see and assist them. Youth must complete a fitness orientation with Y staff. Children 9 and under may not use this part of the facility at any time. Must be 16+ to use the treadmills. Mistreatment of equipment and inappropriate behaviors can result in the removal from the fitness area.
Wear appropriate clothing attire and footwear. Proper athletic shoes that cover the entire foot must always be worn in the entire Fitness Areas. (Not Allowed: Bare Feet, Socks-only, Sandals, Open-Toe Shoes, Cleats, Crocs, Foam Runners, Winter Boots, Dress Shoes, Hiking Boots).
Please consider others when using equipment. Using gym equipment with others simultaneously allows others to work in with you while you are using a piece of equipment. When using equipment keep distractions out of the fitness areas (phone calls, text, social media, etc...)
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The YMCA reserves the right to suspend or cancel a membership at our discretion if actions or behaviors are not deemed in the best interest of the organization.

CELL PHONES AND ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Any use of cell phones and devices with photographic or video capabilities are not permitted within the locker room areas or restrooms.
ALCOHOL, DRUGS AND TOBACCO (CIGARETTES/VAPE)
No use of these items in the facility or on the grounds of the YMCA. The YMCA reserves the right to suspend or cancel a membership at our discretion if actions or behaviors are not deemed in the best interest of the organization.
LOST & FOUND
The St. Cloud Area Family YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lost and found items are kept for one week. Inquiries about lost items must be made in person; items not claimed after one week will be donated to a local charity.
REFUND POLICY
We do not offer refunds for memberships, programs, locker/towel rental, or personal training. If you think we have withdrawn from your account in error, you must notify us within 90 days. The YMCA is not responsible for disputed charges over 90 days old.
ITEMS TO CHECK OUT AT THE MEMBERSHIP DESK
We have ping pong, foosball basketballs, racquetball and pickleball items, spike ball, Wally ball nets and Rockwall equipment that can be checked out at the desk. Collateral will need to be turned in at the time of check out (something of value). If items checked out are not returned, a fee will be charged for replacement costs.
BAD WEATHER
The YMCA’s goal is to avoid canceling any of your programs or classes due to severe weather. We follow St. Cloud school districts severe weather decisions for programs. During severe weather warnings, membership will be directed/assisted to a safe place in the building by staff.
