As the mainstay of dairy farming since 1925, NZ Dairy Exporter is a trusted source of information, adding value to the business of dairy farming.
Modern dairy farming is a complex and demanding business with the technologies, systems and marketplace dairy farmers work in, constantly changing.
We are celebrating 100 years of this change from farmers adaption to new technologies over the decades, the evolution of genetics and the evolving dairy powerhouse globally New Zealand has become.
Many of New Zealand’s dairy farming agribusiness brands are showcasing their unique story in this special edition involved in the evolution over the past 100 years and what the next 100 years of dairy farming will look like.
The 100 year NZ Dairy Exporter will be released 2 June 2025 and will be the last before merging with Country-Wide.
We are excited to celebrate 100 years of the NZ Dairy Exporter with this special edition. On reflection through the archives, the merging with Country-Wide is a return home to the original NZ Farm Journal that the Dairy Exporter spun from, where all land owners can learn across the sectors together.

Do you have a story about your brand that you would love to shout from the rooftops?
Relying on your PR company to get free editorial is very difficult these days and sponsored content or advertorial-type stories can waste the opportunity to make an impact with yawn-inducing stories that don’t garner clicks (online) or engagement with readers.
Why? Because they are usually written by a marketer not a journalist and published out of context.
Getting anything other than an advertisement in Dairy Exporter previously, was notoriously challenging. But in 2024, with the development of Partnership Editorial as a product with our editorial and sales teams working together, we are excited to offer you this opportunity that’s an all round win-win-win.
What makes the best partnership editorial?
Timely, relevant solutions-led content that helps bring value to the farmer without selling a product or service. The best partnership editorial includes quotes from technical experts as well as farmers, such as showcasing research or an onfarm success story with good economic stats such as ROI analysis.
Choose a Full page (400 words) or Double Page (800 words) article written by our journalists (with your final approval) and your supplied photography. The article is written from supplied material and a phone interview.
Includes both print and online editorial which you can embed video, podcast and links into provided free to our website audience.
Online editorial is a fantastic way to increase your search engine optimization (SEO) and to include back links to your website.

The booking deadline is earlier than the ad booking deadline as we need time to write and approve.
The content is at the discretion of the editor and must fit our magazines overaching editorial objectives, policy and standard.
Farmax took up the opportunity to have their Head of Product, Dr. Todd White, contribute thought leadership on the topic of making data driven decisions on farm to go alongside an editorial theme about modelling onfarm decisions with software tools to help make cost-control choices in the face of inflation. The article was then placed on the website with an interview embedded within the article that Sarah Perriam-Lampp did on The Dairy Exporter Podcast
Partnership editorial is not advertorial or supplied copy. Our editors are open to this marketing on the condition they write the copy allowing it to conform to the overall style of the magazine. A final proof will be supplied for approval. This written content in both the magazine and online is identified as partnership editorial with the header ‘In Partnership with [your company name]’. Below is one of the many example of what we have done for our clients.

The interview with their sales manager highlighted the potential savings in labour costs and diesel emissions.

AGRICOM’S AL & JUDDY SHOW PODCAST
Now in its second season, Agricom’s flagship monthly vodcast series, The Al & Juddy show which is produced in the Canterbury studio of CountryWide Media.
This pasture and forages brand are using this media channel for their thought leadership to farmers. Agricom works closely with their agency Hot Mustard to distribute awareness about the show in multichannels. This is an example of best practice.
ON-FARM VIDEO - PHOTOGRAPHY - PODCAST - LIVE Q&A
CountryWide Media has been working with Fonterra’s Farm Source for the past 4 years to cover a range of media for their Spring and Autumn campaigns.
Their ‘Seasonal Focus’ podcast series is recorded in our Canterbury-based studio and hosted by Sarah Perriam-Lampp, covering a range of knowledgeable experts to support farmers’ key decision-making. Social media videos are created to promote the podcast.
We also host lunchtime live Q&As for farmers to ask experts their questions.
We have done many video testimonials around the country include professional photography on the shoot and a transcript which extends the use to their “Enrich” magazine and sponsored content on Stuff.co.nz.
Sarah’s rapport with farmers ensure we get genuine footage so we know it will resonate with our audience. We like to work with CountryWide Media alongside our Auckland agency.

PODCAST - HOW TO VIDEOS - CONFERENCE FILMING
CountryWide Media has been working since 2019 with NZ’s arable industry body, Foundation for Arable Research (FAR) to enhance the delivery of their research to busy growers in their tractors.
FAR are podcast clients using our Lincoln studio to monthly batch record their weekly episodes with us handling the full production.
With much uncertainty about government regulation, FAR also use the studio to create explainer videos about how to do a farm environment plan or how to use a greenhouse gas calculator which has been well recieved by their levy paying growers.
We have been working with CountryWide to produce our podcast series since 2019 into our 5th season. They make it super easy for us to batch record weekly podcasts once a month and handle the rest!
