One often says that artists live in their own world. When I visited the garden of fantasy and the studio of Helga Denoth, I experienced that this world is the same as where we live as non-artists, but the artist has the ability to make us aware of many things. It was fascinating how my thoughts were carried away by the sculptures and paintings. I’m happy that we can present you this so versatile artist. Costa Rica is known for its natural beauty. Many visitors don’t want to just wander through the national parks, but also to combine this experience of nature with adventure. 92 Beaches with Clean Water

Authorities have examined 100 beaches of a total of 400 beaches in Costa Rica and determined the number of coli bacteria. In Guanacaste, the examination showed that all of the examined beaches showed enough good water quality. This is due to the fact that, in the last years, the authorities increasingly required hotels and trades to construct adequate effluent disposals. In Puntarenas, on the Pacific coast, the beaches in Heradura, Jacó, Hermosa and Esterillos East are being considered as clean. Also on the Caribbean side, in the Limón province, 13 beaches were regarded as sanitarily harmless. It still looks bad around the Río Tarcoles river mouth where dirty water reaches the sea. Also in Quepos, as well as Portete

Dies ist auch darauf zurückzuführen, dass von den Behörden bei den Genehmigungen für Hotels und sonstige Gewerbe in den letzten Jahren vermehrt auf den Bau einer angemessenen Abwasserentsorgung geachtet wurde. In Puntarenas, an der Pazifikküste gelegen, gelten vor allem die Strände in Heradura, Jacó, Hermosa und Esterillos Ost als sauber. Auch auf der Karibikseite in der Provinz Limón wurden 13 Strände als gesundheitlich unbedenklich empfunden. Schlecht sieht es nach wie vor im Bereich der Mündung des Río Tarcoles aus, über den verschmutztes Wasser ins Meer gelangt. Auch in Quepos sowie in Portete, Provinz Limón, sollte man aufs Baden verzichten.CRS

A since many years smoldering dispute about the construction of a gold mine in Las Crucitas in the north of Costa Rica is, at the moment, decided in favor of the environmental protection. The administrative court has revoked a concession already given by the Arias government. A Costa Rican

court animated further to the relevant ministry a criminal charge investigation against Arias, the former president and his environment minister from back then because, in a decree, they established the public interest for the construction of the gold mine. Because of the missing environmental studies, this decree was, from the court’s point of view, illegal. The lawyers of the mining company intend, according to a statement, to dispute the decision.CRS

Der Verwaltungsgerichtshof hat eine bereits von der Regierung Arias erteilte Konzession widerrufen. Ein costaricanisches Tochterunternehmen des kanadischen Bergbauunternehmens Infinito Gold hatte beabsichtigt, dort Gold zu fördern. Das Gericht bemängelte in seiner Entscheidung unvollständige Umweltgutachten, was die Annulierung

der Konzession zur Folge hatte. Das Gericht regte darüber hinaus beim zuständigen Ministerium eine strafrechtliche Untersuchung gegen den früheren Präsidenten Arias und seinen damaligen Umweltminister an, da sie in einem Dekret das öffentliche Interesse für den Bau der Goldmine festgestellt hatten. Aufgrund der fehlenden Umweltstudien war dieses Dekret aus Sicht des Gerichts illegal. Die Anwälte der Bergbaufirma beabsichtigen nach eigenen Angaben, die Entscheidung anzufechten.CRS

Conflict with Nicaragua about Isla Calero Continues Ortega Government Continues to Occupy the Costa Rican Island

Konflikt mit Nicaragua um Isla Calero dauert an Regierung Ortega hält costaricanische Insel weiter besetzt

In the conflict between Costa Rica and Nicaragua about the triangle of Rio San Juan, Río Colorado and the Atlantic, there’s no pave way for a quick solution. After the island, belonging to Costa Rica, was occupied by Nicaraguan soldiers in November, Costa Rica, having no army, called the Organization of American States (OAS). On November 12, the majority of the members decided in favor of Costa Rica and demanded a troop withdrawal, but the Ortega government didn’t accept this. They demanded Costa Rica to call the International Court of Justice in Den Haag which, in the meantime, happened. By massive deforesting, Nicaragua seems to make an effort to create irreversible facts. The session of the International Court of Justice for this case is scheduled on January 13, 2011. A judgment is not expected on this day. Along with domestic motives (President Ortega apires for a renewed candidacy at the 2011 elections although this is constitutionally ruled out) Nicaragua also has economic interests. navigable so that an interestingly tourist boat traffic from the Atlantic to the Nicaragua sea would be possible.CRS

Nachdem die zu Costa Rica gehörende Insel von nicaraguanischen Soldaten im November besetzt wurde, hat Costa Rica, das keine Armee besitzt,

die Organisation Amerikanischer Staaten (OEA) angerufen. Am 12. November entschied die große Mehrheit der Mitglieder zu Gunsten von Costa Rica und forderte einen Truppenrückzug, was die Regierung Ortega jedoch nicht akzeptierte. Sie forderte Costa Rica auf, den Internationalen Gerichtshof in Den Haag anzurufen, was inzwischen auch geschehen ist. Währenddessen scheint Nicaragua bemüht, durch massive Abholzungen auf der Insel unumkehrbare Fakten zu schaffen. Für den 13. Januar 2011 ist die Sitzung des internationalen Gerichtshofs in dieser Sache terminiert. Eine Entscheidung wird an diesem Tag nicht erwartet. Neben innenpolitischen Motiven (Präsident Ortega strebt bei den Wahlen 2011 eine erneute Kandidatur an, obwohl dies verfassungsmäßig ausgeschlossen ist) bestehen auf Seiten Nicaraguas auch wirtschaftliche Interessen. Ein begradigter Flussverlauf würde den Río San Juan ganzjährig schiffbar machen, so dass ein touristisch interessanter Bootsverkehr vom Atlantik bis zum Nicaragua See möglich wäre.CRS

High Coffee Prices, But Bad Harvest Hohe Kaffepreise, aber schlechte Ernte

Costa Rica’s coffee farmers actually ought to be glad: The coffee prices that they’re currently reaching on the world market are high. But the heavy rain in September and October has afflicted the coffee plants. A fungal infestation has afflicted the many plants and therefore decreased the anticipated harvest. The hurricane Tomás also had a negative effect because, during this time, many coffee plants couldn’t be reached and landslides also damaged the plants. The National Coffee Institute (ICAFE) saw itself forced to reduce its forecast of the coffee harvest for about more than 10%. But, due to the bad harvests in Brazil and Columbia, the institute thinks that the coffee price will stay up so that the farmers, in spite of the smaller harvest, will soon financially recover again.CRS

Das nationale Kaffee-Institut (ICAFE) sah sich daher gezwungen, seine Vorhersagen zur KaffeeErnte um über 10% zu reduzieren. Doch aufgrund schlechter Ernten in Brasilien und Kolumbien geht das Institut davon aus, dass der Kaffeepreis hoch bleiben wird, so dass sich die Bauern trotz geringerer Ernte finanziell bald wieder erholen werden.CRS

In a faster and faster time, many people are looking for special moments of calm and relaxation. Thereby, they’ve discovered a piece of furniture on which the grandparents already sat – the rocking chair. Since more than 100 years the village Sarchi near San José is famous for its carpenters.

A special beautiful piece of their art is the rocking chair being made of wood from a sustainable forestry. Artists design the motives that are engraved in leather on the chair backs. and, for more than 10 years, he engages himself with the rocking chairs and knows each hand grip in the manufacturing. “I love woodworking and I’m always happy when we, after two weeks of work, can again deliver a rocking chair to a customer”, he says while he concentrates on varnishing the wood. Besides Costa Rica, the USA and Europe are the main customers, but rocking chairs have been also delivered to Australia.CRS

How one can learn about the forest Wie man von den Bribri-Indianern die Forstwirtsc A graveled road leads along the Sixaola river to the Bambu village. We enjoy the view to the densely forested Talamanca mountains that go far beyond the near border to Panama. The small village offers visitors a simple but spacious accommodation, built from wood and palm leaves, to stay overnight and taste the native cooking. There are tours by foot or boot to waterfalls, traditional sites and, above all, into the forests. Almost the entire Bribri area consists of jungle and they call it their green gold. But plantation cultivation is partly operated also. More than hundred years ago, US companies claimed large parts of the Bribri territories and planted bananas. For various reasons, the companies stopped their activities and therefore the original forest is increasingly prevailing. Today, the Bribris find the way back to the roots of their agriculture. Sitting in a dugout we cross over

the broad stream of the Sixaola. On the opposite bank, we’re immediately swallowed by the jungle. Demetrio, a Bribri Indian, takes us on a small trail up the steep slope to his Finca. Huge Ceiba trees alternates with palm trees and other low plants. We’re quickly surrounded by numerous cacao trees and in between there are banana plants. Now we’re right in the middle of what is professionally called “successful agroforestry”. Trees are cut if necessary, but then they were left lying at the bottom. Because the lignin is a really important energy store for other plants. Most of the other plants are not cut also, but serve the others to grow. Here coexistence rules of up to forty various

The system of agroforestry can also be applied to the many farmlands that have been emaciated due to singlecrop farming in the past. In recent years the forest engineer Winfried Steiner on behalf of the Church Development Service (EED) has started a project with the Bribri Indians and farmers for sustainable recultivation of such a farmland. At the beginning 30-40 various plant seeds were sowed. Already after 3-4 months the first harvest takes place, plantains first, followed by Bananas and other fruits. The objective is not to supply supermarkets but to establish cooperatives where farmers and consumers become members. Like in the cooperative FEDEACUA: 25 farmers and as Winfried Steiner many consumers are members of this cooperative. Once a week, a small truck drives to the farms and after that delivers the vegetables and fruits directly to the consumers.

In the second step he can sell the surplus products. As soon as one had enough it is easier to negotiate. This is how we let the delicacies of the jungle persuade us. Palm hearts are sliced directly in front of us and tasted. Additionally fresh plantains are roasted over the log fire.

Kein Boden ist verloren

Das Agroforstsystem kann auch für die vielen landwirtschaftlichen Flächen, die aufgrund von Monokulturen in der Vergangenheit ausgelaugt sind, angewandt werden. In den vergangenen Jahren hat der Forstingenieur Winfried Steiner im Auftrag des evangelischen Entwicklungsdienstes mit den Bribri-Indianern und Bauern ein Projekt zur nachhaltigen Rekultivierung solcher Flächen gestartet. Es beginnt mit dem Aussähen von 30-40 verschiedenen Pflanzensamen. Schon nach 3-4 Monaten erfolgt die erste Ernte, Platano, danach Bananen und andere Früchte. Ziel ist nicht, Supermärkte zu beliefern, sondern Kooperativen zu gründen, in denen Bauern und Konsumenten Mitglieder sind. So wie in der Kooperative FEDEACUA: 25 Bauern und ebensoviele Verbraucher sind dort Mitglied. Einmal pro Woche fährt ein Transporter zu den Bauern und bringt dann direkt das Gemüse und die Früchte zu den Konsumenten.

Auf der anderen Seite werden wir sofort vom Urwald verschluckt. Demetrio, ein Bribri-Indianer, führt uns auf einem schmalen Pfad den Steilhang hinauf zu seiner Finca. Riesige Ceiba Bäume wechseln sich mit Palmen und anderen niedrigen Pflanzen ab. Bald sind wir von zahlreichen Kakaobäumen umgeben, dazwischen stehen Bananenstauden. Schon sind wir mittendrin in dem, was unter

dem Fachbegriff „sukzessionales Agroforstsystem“ bekannt ist. Bäume werden zwar wenn nötig gefällt, aber dort liegengelassen, denn das Lignin ist als Energieträger für andere Pflanzen äußerst wichtig. Auch sonst werden die meisten Pflanzen nicht abgehauen, sondern dienen anderen zum Wachsen. Statt Wettbewerb herrscht hier Koexistenz von bis zu vierzig verschiedenen Produkten, die von Demetrio nach und nach geerntet werden. Letzte Woche hat er Unmengen an Kürbissen gehabt, Yucca ist bald fertig, in ein paar Monaten kann er Ananas ernten und nächstes Jahr wohl schon die ersten Zitronen. Das alles wächst auf der gleichen Parzelle, mitten im Wald, und ohne Düngerzusätze. Diese Bodenbewirtschaftung laugt den Boden nicht aus, so dass sie unbegrenzte Zeit möglich ist. Es gibt Waldgebiete, wo die Bribri seit über hundert Jahren diese Art von nachhaltiger Landwirtschaft betreiben. „Den Bribri brauchen wir gar nichts beibringen, ihr Verhältnis zur Natur ist viel enger als unseres. Sie wissen genau, wie sie ihre Erde bearbeiten müssen, ohne sie zu schädigen“, so Winfried Steiner, ein deutscher Forstingenieur, der seit vielen Jahren die Bribri und Bauern

ine Schotterstraße führt entlang des Sixaola Flusses zum Dorf Bambu. Wir genießen die Aussicht auf die dicht bewaldeten Talamanca-Berge, die sich bis weit hinter die nahe Grenze zu Panama ziehen. Der kleine Ort bietet Besuchern eine einfache aber geräumige aus Holz und Palmblättern gebaute Herberge zum Übernachten und Kosten der einheimischen Küche. Zu Fuß oder per Boot gibt es Touren zu Wasserfällen, traditionellen Stätten und vor allem in die Wälder. Fast das ganze Gebiet der Bribri besteht aus Urwald, sie nennen es ihr grünes Gold. Teilweise wird aber auch noch Plantagenwirtschaft betrieben. Vor über hundert Jahren wurden große Teile der Bribri-Territorien von USamerikanischen Konzernen beansprucht und mit Bananen bepflanzt. Anfangs nimmt ihn ein Weg quasi an die Hand und führt ihn in die Welt der Kunst, erste Objekte am Wegesrand regen zum Nachdenken an. Eine Tür mit über 150 farbigen Motiven bildet den Übergang ins Reich der Fantasie. Nach wenigen Minuten sind die Gedanken ergriffen, von den Skulpturen, die Menschen in Szenen des Alltags zeigen, nachdenklich, freudig, tänzerisch, bunt und stilisiert, der Besucher entdeckt sich, sein Leben, seine Hoffnungen und Gefühle. Das späte Licht des Nachmittags läßt die Figuren Schatten werfen, während sie tanzen, sitzen, eine Skulptur mit 365 Steinen bildet das Jahr ab, jeder Stein unterschiedlich, so wie die Tage des Jahres. As it has to be for a professional cook, RenĂŠ Hauser had finished his apprenticeship in Switzerland and then decided to take a look at cooking skills in other countries: England and Paris were his stations as he met a college who raved to him about Venezuela. Hauser applied for a job at an international hotel in Caracas, but the post was already assigned. Instead, he was offered a job in a hotel in Managua. An intensive study of the map was needed before Hauser knew

where he should spend the next few years and he took the adventure. It was 1974, just 2 years after the tremendous earthquake had haunted Managua. Hauser can still remember the drive back then from the airport through the still widely demolished city and how he got doubts about how long heâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;d work in this city. But, three years later, there was nothing left from these doubts. In the meantime, Hauser and a partner had taken over the Restaurant La Marseillaise and began

to establish it as one of the first addresses in Managua. Soon thereafter the partner left the country, so that Hauser was on his own. The following years were a turbulent time. The government formed by the Sandinistas introduced price controls, so that every menu had to be approved by the ministry. The soaring inflation, that went up to 200%, made the shopping a race against the clock. But the government back then appreciated good food and helped, especially beWWW.COSTARICA-SPIR I TS. C O M

fore important congresses took place, so that the delivery for the restaurant worked. The Sandinistas left, but the VIPs remained linked with the restaurant. Jimmy Carter dined here as well as the author Vargas Llosa and many other politicians and artists. Fine dining and art has always belonged together in La Marseillaise. One room of the restaurant is used as an artist studio and the guests can watch the painter at his work. As a special thank-you, a painter has immortalized René Hauser and wellknown politicians together on a painting. Es bedurfte schon eines intensiven Studiums der Landkarte, bis Hauser wußte, wo er die nächsten Jahre verbringen sollte, und er nahm das Abenteuer auf sich. 1974 war das, nur 2 Jahre nach dem gewaltigen Erdbeben, das Managua heimgesucht hatte. Hauser erinnert sich noch an die damalige Fahrt vom Flughafen durch die noch weitgehend zerstörte Stadt, während bei ihm Zweifel aufkamen, wie lange er wohl in dieser Stadt arbeiten würde. Aber 3 Jahre späer war von diesen Zweifeln nichts mehr übrig geblieben, Hauser hatte inzwischen mit einem Partner das Restaurant La Marseillaise übernommen und begann, es zu einer der ersten Adressen in Managua zu machen. Der Partner verließ bald danach das Land, so dass Hauser auf sich alleine gestellt war. Die fol-

genden Jahre waren eine bewegte Zeit, die Sandinistische Regierung führte Preiskontrollen ein, so dass jede Speisekarte vom Ministerium genehmigt werden musste. Die zunehmende Inflation, die bis zu 200% erreichte, machte das Einkaufen zu einem Wettlauf mit der Zeit. Doch auch die damalige Regierung wusste gutes Essen zu schätzen und half vor allem vor wichtigen Kongressen, dass die Lieferungen für das Restaurant funktionierten. Die Sandinisten gingen, aber die Prominenz blieb dem Restaurant verbunden. Jimmy Carter speiste hier ebenso wie der Schriftsteller Vargas Llosa und viele andere Politiker und Künstler. Gutes Essen und Kunst gehörten im La Marseillaise schon immer zusammen. Ein Raum des Restaurants ist als Künstler-Atelier eingerichtet, die Gäste können dem Maler bei seiner Arbeit zusehen. Als besonderes Dankeschön hat ein Maler René Hauser mit bekannten Politikern auf einem Gemälde verewigt. It was Nicaragua’s capital until 1852. It hosted the first Nicaraguan university and it still feels like the intellectual center of Nicaragua. León, the city where the youths dominate the street scene. Students from the entire north of Nicaragua study here and the city residents like to host them. Many of them rent rooms or offer the students lunch for a few Cordobas. León is considered as the city of churches and the cathedral is the biggest in Latin America. It took more than 100 years to finish the construction which started in 1747. It was restored in 1990 with Spain’s aid. Inside one can visit the grave of Rubén Dario, Nicaragua’s best-known poet. It pays to climb the towers of the cathedral because from the top lures a magnificent view over the entire city. Many museums in the city expect the visitor, for example, the Casa Rubén Dario Museum where the poet lived during the seventies of the 19th century. It gives a good insight into the life at that time. Particularly recommended is to visit the city during the Easter week (“Semana Santa”), when numerous colorful processions parade through the city. Whoever wants to go out in León, he can find many budget restaurants, especially near the Parque Central and the university. Whoever searches for a property in Costa Rica and prefers being close to a beach, can find in Guanacaste and the Nicoya peninsula, in its southern area part of the Puntarenas Province, a large choice of properties and houses at all price levels. The area in the north-east of Costa Rica is sparsely populated, compared to the Central Valley. Throughout the year, this area has the least rainfall in Costa Rica, and, especially during the months of December to May and as well as during July and August, itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s mainly dry. Mit den Flughäfen in Tambor, Carillo und Nosara ist die Halbinsel gut erschlossen, die beiden einheimischen Fluggesellschaften Sansa und Nature Air fliegen täglich diese Ziele an. Weiter nördlich bei Tamarindo ist die Bebauung dichter, hier wurden in den letzten Jahren viele Condominiums gebaut sowie mehrstöckige Wohngebäude. Auch für Golfer entstanden mehrere Resorts. Die Infrastruktur ist hier überwiegend gut, zudem sind innerhalb einer Stunde die Provinzhauptstadt Liberia und

der dortige internationale Flughafen zu erreichen. Die medizinische Versorgung wird sich in Liberia und damit für die gesamte Region in den nächsten Jahren erheblich verbessern, nachdem zwei derzeit in San José ansässige private Kliniken angekündigt haben, auch in Liberia Kliniken zu bauen. Ein Gebäude befindet sich bereits im Bau. Ein wichtiger Aspekt, den es beim Immobilienkauf in Guanacaste zu beachten gilt, ist die Wasserversorgung. An manchen Orten kann es in der Trockenzeit zu Wasserknappheit kommen, ein Problem, das auch durch neue Hotelprojekte verstärkt wird. CRS: Mr. Schnellbächer, you’ve been a real estate agent in Costa Rica for many years. How do you estimate the current situation on the real estate market? T. Schnellbächer: Since 2007, we watch a drop in prices on a broad scale. However, we see very strong differences, mostly depending on how much the salespersons are required to sell. There are numerous vendors who have bought at high level prices during the boom time and now find it difficult to sell below cost price. We currently see attractive bargains, especially in Guanacaste’s back country between Tamarindo and Papagayo, in the Alajuela province, aside from Atenas, the Valle de General, aside from the area of San Isidro, in Cartago in the direction to Turrialba, the region around San Vito as well as on the southern Pacific coast south from Dominical. Erschlossene Grundstücke mit Meerblick gibt es hier bei einer Größe ab 2000 qm für ca. 50 Dollar und mehr, während ein vergleichbares Grundstück an der Karibikküste bei Puerto Viejo für 30 Dollar zu bekommen ist.

Günstlige Gelegenheiten für Schnäppchen sehen wir derzeit vor allem im Hinterland von Guanacaste, zwischen Tamarindo und Papagayo, in der Provinz Alajuela außer Atenas, dem Valle del General außer in der Nähe von San Isidro, in Cartago in Richtung Turrialba, der Region um San Vito sowie an der südlichen Pazifikküste ab Dominical.

CRS: Wie sehen sie die Entwicklung in den nächsten Jahren? T.Schnellbächer: Der Preisboom, der bis zum Jahr 2006 über nahezu 10 Jahre anhielt, ist nun für die kommenden Jahre erst einmal beendet. Seit 2007 sanken die Preise zwischen 10% und 30%, ja nach Lage. Wir gehen davon aus, dass dies zumindest für die nächsten 3 Jahre so bleiben wird. Like the Swedes, they must get along with 27,5 days. In a Europewide comparison, this could seem sparse, but when Americans notice this number of vacation days, they have feelings of envy: they must settle for 17 days and the Japanese, with their 16,5 days, would surely also like to exchange for these days.CRS Allgemein gelten die Deutschen als die Urlaubswelt- meister, doch eine Übersicht der Urlaubstage, die EU-Bürger zur Verfügung haben, zeigt, dass sich andere Nationen weitaus mehr freie Tage leisten. The number sounds remarkable: in 2009, 25 million suitcases of flight passengers around the world were misguided, this study done by the SITA logistics company. Even in Germany, almost 6,000 suitcases daily don’t arrive along with the passenger who gave it up. But 99 percent of the lost luggage items are handed back to their owners within the next 48 hours. To bridge this, most of the airlines provide a so-called Overnight-Kit that contains Tshirts, toothbrushes, and toothpaste as well as deodorant and combs. Since the 2004 Montreal Accord, the rule in case the luggage doesn’t show up after 24 hours is following: the passenger can make necessary purchases and get the money refunded when he can show the receipts. The Lufthansa airline compensates commodities at 100 percent. Long-term items like clothes in the highest liability limit of 1200 €, are compensated at 50% when the passenger keeps it and at 100% when he gives it back later to the airline company. If the luggage doesn’t appear again, it’s then compensated up to 1200 €. Allein in Deutschland kommen täglich bis zu 6’000 Koffer nicht mit dem Passagier an, der es aufgegeben hat. 99 Prozent der verlorenen Gepäckstücke werden ihren Eigentümern innerhalb von 48 Stunden wieder ausgehändigt. Zur Überbrückung stellen die meisten Airlines sogenannte Overnight-Kits zur Verfügung, die T-Shirt, Zahnbürste und Zahnpasta sowie Deo und Kamm beinhalten. Nach dem seit 2004 gültigen Montrealer Abkommen gilt für den Fall, dass das Gepäck länger als 24 Stunden nicht auftaucht, folgende Regelung: Der Passagier kann notwendige Einkäufe machen und sich das Geld dafür erstatten lassen, wenn er die Belege vorweisen kann. Die Fluggesellschaft Lufthansa ersetzt Gebrauchsgegenstände zu 100 Prozent, Dauergebrauchsgegenstände wie Kleidung werden im Rahmen der Höchsthaftungsgrenze von 1200 € zu 50% ersetzt, wenn der Passagier sie behält, und zu 100%, wenn er sie später wieder an die Fluggesellschaft zurückgibt. Taucht das Gepäck überhaupt nicht mehr auf, dann werden bis zu 1200 € ersetzt. Während Kleidung meistens problemlos ersetzt wird, schließen die meisten Airlines die Haftung für Laptops, Schmuck und Geld aus. Bei diesen Airlines gehen die meisten Koffer verloren (vgl. Kasten). Tag 1 (Freitag) Individuelle Anreise nach Granada bzw. Transfer von Liberia nach Granada. Nach dem Bezug des Hotelzimmers erwartet Sie Ihr deutschsprachiger Reiseleiter in der Hotellobby. Bei einem Begrüßungdrink erhalten Sie wertvolle Tipps zu Ihrem Aufenthalt in der Kolonialstadt Granada. Tag 2 (Samstag) Stadtführung mit Kutschfahrt – Vulkan Masaya – Isla Zopango – Granada Sie beginnen den Tag mit einer Rundfahrt in der Pferdekutsche. Bei dieser Fahrt durch malerische Gassen bekommen Sie einen Überblick über die wunderschöne Kolonialstadt Granada und sehen sich die Festung La Polvora an.
