Daniela Bertagnin Benetton is a beautiful girl who is full of energy. Her obstinacy is a family trait: she is the daughter of Giuliana Benetton, who, together with her three brothers, built up an empire starting from a ball of wool. Daniela herself has not been found wanting, at the young age of 22 starting up a project called Undercolors, which today counts 400 sales outlets worldwide. However, Daniela prefers a strong rockclimbing rope to a ball of wool, being a keen summer and winter climber who has scaled almost all the peaks surrounding the Ampezzo Valley.
Il mondo verticale è per me come un percorso: con un inizio, uno sviluppo e un fine da raggiungere. All'inizio, vivi un'eccitazione compressa per quello che ti aspetta. Poi, nello sviluppo bisogna dosare le forze e concentrarsi moltissimo per poter "leggere" la roccia e sentirti in sintonia. Quando arrivi alla cima, è un piacere assoluto. My vertical world The vertical world is for me like a route with a beginning, a development and an end to be reached. At the start, you feel a suppressed excitement for what is to come. Then, along the way you need to measure out your strength and concentrate a lot so as to be able to "read" the rocks and feel in tune with them. When you get to the top, it's sheer pleasure.
Non si può non avere paura in montagna. Fa parte dello scenario. È una compagna che impari a conoscere e a farti complice. Gli imprevisti in montagna sono inevitabili, ma l'attenzione che poni all'ascolto del tuo corpo e della parete ti permette di superarli. I'm not afraid: recklessness, courage or thrills? It's impossible not to be afraid in the mountains. It's part of the scenario. Fear is a companion that you get to know and that becomes an accomplice. Unexpected events are inevitable in the mountains, but if you learn to listen to your own body and to the rock face, you'll be able to overcome them.
Montagna: una passione da...
Sono due aspetti imprescindibili. Uno senza l'altro è un'azione incompleta. The aim or the climb? The climb itself and the aim of reaching the top are two inseparable aspects. One without the other is an incomplete action.

aniela Bertagnin Benetton è una ragazza bellissima e piena d'energia. La sua pervicacia è una dote di famiglia: è figlia di Giuliana Benetton che, assieme ai tre fratelli, ha costruito un impero partendo da un gomitolo di lana. Lei non è stata da meno e, a soli 22 anni, ha avviato un progetto chiamato Undercolors che oggi conta 400 punti vendita in tutto il mondo. Al gomitolo, Daniela preferisce la robustezza di una corda da roccia, la stessa che le ha permesso di scalare sia d'estate che d'inverno quasi tutte le cime che circondano la valle d'Ampezzo.

Mio marito, Riccardo Dei Rossi, ha decisamente molta più esperienza di me nel mondo dello sport: ha partecipato a quattro Olimpiadi nella disciplina del canottaggio ottenendo grandi risultati. Condividiamo le stesse passioni, lo stesso stile di vita. Pensa che la seconda volta che ci siamo visti, per noi fatale, ci siamo incrociati lungo la ferrovia mentre entrambi ci allenavamo di corsa, una mattina di dicembre. Quante altre anime avrebbero scelto di fare una cosa del genere?

Entrambi i miei figli sono già svezzati: corda, magnesio, imbragature e sci fuoripista. Anche se, per adesso, preferisco che si divertano.
The mountains: a passion to be... ...shared My husband, Riccardo Dei Rossi, has definitely had more experience than myself in the world of sport: he has taken part in 4 Olympics as a rower, with great success. We share the same passions and lifestyle. In fact, the second time that we saw each other, which was decisive for us, our paths crossed along the railway track while we were both running on a December morning. How many others would choose to do a thing like that? ...passed on Both my children are already familiar with ropes, flares, harness and off-piste skis – although for the moment I prefer them to enjoy themselves.
