SPOTLIGHT

In the latest episode of the Superintendent’s Spotlight, Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez outlines a project in Bond 2024 for Haas Middle School. Watch the video.

Allen Elementary School celebrates new chapter

Allen Elementary Wildcats, district administration and staff applauded as Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez cut into a red ribbon, signifying the offical opening of the newly renovated campus.

Renovations and additions were made possible by Bond 2022, and the school’s new library was made possible thanks to a grant received by the Education Service Center, Region 2. Students from George Evans Elementary School joined students at Allen Elementary recently.

“Built in 1980, Allen Elementary has a proud history, and now, 44 years later, we’re thrilled to welcome you to our newly renovated school,” Allen Elementary Principal Celeste Fernandez said.” These projects go beyond physical upgrades—they reflect our commitment to providing an innovative, top-tier learning environment for our students.”

Employees and spouses enrolled in the District’s group health plan with Blue Cross Blue Shield may receive the flu shot, the pneumonia vaccine, shingles, the tetanus booster, and the Covid booster from H-E-B at no cost.

Costs for the five vaccines for employees who do not have the District’s group health plan is:

• Flu shot - $45.00
