CCISD’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Family Counseling Services: 852-7415.

This year’s 14th annual State of the District raised more than $112,000. Students across the district displayed their skills in robotics, music, culinary arts and health care during the Hearts and Minds Showcase just before the event. During the luncheon, Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez shared updates from around the district. That included the 10 social workers and 111 highly trained counselors who are ready to help students, and the Capturing Kids’ Hearts program, which includes training teachers, leaders and staff. “Yes, we are in the education business, and academics are paramount,” Hernandez said. “At Corpus Christi ISD, however, we believe that a well-rounded education is rooted in the ability to form authentic, productive relationships, develop and hone conflict resolution tecniques, and practice communcation skills that encourage a mindset conducive to learning.” Thank you to all our sponsors for supporting CCISD! Meet Kaitlin Morris! It is Kaitlin’s first year with CCISD! She teaches 2nd grade at Oak Park Elementary School. “I grew up in a very educational based family, which helped grow my love for this profession. Having the opportunity to help students learn and grow into the best possible versions of themselves brings me so much joy!” Welcome to #TeamCCISD!

Show your school spirit for this year’s Employee Giving Campaign The Employee Giving Campaign is underway! The Corpus Christi Education Foundation serves and supports CCISD students and educators by funding scholarships for students, awarding annual grants to classrooms and by recognizing teaching excellence in CCISD. Every dollar donated to support the foundation stays in CCISD. The elementary, middle school and high school with the highest totals will receive a banner to display at their campus and receive board recognition. If you choose to participate, please print, complete and sign the Employee Giving Donation Form.

Employees are never expected nor required to make a contribution. Participation is strictly voluntary. Donate today to be entered into a drawing for a chance to win iPads and CCEF swag. Deadline to return form is November 3, 2021.

Capturing Kids’ Hearts theme: Teamwork

COVID-19 testing for students and staff

November’s Capturing Kids’ Hearts theme is Teamwork.

CCISD is offering testing clinics for CCISD students and employees. Testing is always voluntary. Walk-in testing is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students under 18 will need a parent present to sign a consent form.

When it comes to building a healthly campus culture, the goal is not to expect perfect behavior all of the time. The goal is to create a team that works together toward group goals and a shared purpose.

We as adults have the unique opportunity to help our children grow by modeling gratefullness, encouraging them to acknowledge the positive moments each day, and creating opportunities for them to affirm and build others up.

CCISD encourages everyone age 12 and older to get vaccinated against COVID-19. For vaccine sites, visit Nuecesknows.com.
