Barnes Elementary Stars are over the moon for space-themed library
We are over the moon about Ella Barnes Elementary School’s space-themed library! Special thanks to the Education Service Center, Region 2 for hosting the library reveal. The library at Barnes Elementary School is part of the LEARN IT grant funding that was awarded to ESC, Region 2.

District leaders recently announced the Above the Line employee of the month winners! Four honorees were surprised at their work locations with the announcement they were selected. Congratulations! Do you know someone who goes Above the Line? Nominate them today!
Becky Cross, Substitute, Oak Park Elementary School
Ms. Cross serves with intent and purpose and ensures her students are prepared and ready to learn each day.
Her student’s academic growth is her top priority and cultivates a strong relationship with her students.
Jennifer Noyola, Coordinator for Attendance, Dropouts, and Leavers
Mrs. Noyola shapes the future by making an impact on student attendance. Her leadership in coordinating the K.E.Y.S. (Keeping Every Youth in School) Phone Bank and Walk has helped reconnect students with their schools and strengthened our community ties.
Mrs. Noyola’s support and training for staff have strengthened our approach to enrollment and attendance.
Lisa Perez, Senior Technology Support Administrator
Ms. Perez serves with intent and purpose. She is a fierce leader within the End User Support Department.
Her organization and planning abilities help the team be intentional about how they address the needs of campuses in a safe and timely manner.
Ronald Mendleski, Carpentry Teacher, W.B. Ray High School
Mr. Mendleski prioritizes growth and resiliency. He urges students to try new things and challenges them to take risks to discover their best attributes.
He fosters resilience in students by encouraging them to bounce back and continue to grow and thrive.
