New elementary leaders announced effective 2024-2025 school year
As CCISD plans for the upcoming school year, the district continues updating the community regarding new leadership assignments. The district announces 11 new elementary school assignments, prompted by retirements, promotions, and new assignments. Schools that will welcome new leaders are:
• T.G. Allen Elementary School: Celeste Fernandez, who currently serves as principal of Sam Houston ES and previously served as an assistant principal at Houston
• Cullen Place Elementary School: Jennifer Brady, who currently serves as an assistant principal at Veterans Memorial HS and has served as an assistant principal at Kolda ES
• James Fannin Elementary School: Bryanna Jackson, who currently serves as interim principal of Zavala ES and has served as an assistant principal at Crockett ES
• Dr. J.A. Garcia Elementary School: Sonia Vega, who currently serves as an assistant principal at Tom Browne MS
• Sam Houston Elementary School: Jennifer Allen-Perez, who currently serves as principal of T.G. Allen ES and previously served as an assistant principal at Oak Park ES
• Luther Jones Elementary School: Amy Pina, who is the school’s assistant principal
• Weldon Smith Elementary School: Lauren Stinson, who currently serves as an assistant principal at Metro Elementary School of Design and has served as an assistant principal at Baker MS
• William B. Travis Elementary School: Yvonne Salinas, who currently serves as administrator of academics and accountability at Mary Carroll HS
• C.P. Yeager Elementary School: Stacy Mitchan, who currently serves as principal at Travis ES and has served as assistant principal at Zavala ES, Hicks ES and Evans ES
• Lorenzo de Zavala Elementary School: Zonia Lopez, who has led Sam Houston ES and Kolda ES, as well as served as the district’s Special Programs director
• Faye Webb Elementary School: Joshua Auzenne, who currently serves an assistant principal at Veterans Memorial HS
“All of these leaders are well-prepared to begin their new roles and serve their new school communities,” said Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez. “I am proud of the intentional work we are doing to ensure a strong field of highly trained candidates who are ready and eager to lead our schools.”
