Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez recently announced the April 2021 Above the Line employees. Three honorees were surprised at their work locations with the announcement they had been selected. Nominations are always open for Above the Line employee recognitions. Nominate an outstanding employee today! Administrator - Anna Fuentes, Principal, Paul R. Haas Middle School “Anna Fuentes is such a caring and strategic minded principal. In the almost two years that she has led Haas Middle School, she has completely transformed its culture, expectations, and systems. Their scores are some of the highest in comparison with other middle schools. The students know her, they trust her, they believe in her, and they love her because they truly know she loves them.”
Auxiliary - Sandra Flores, Head Custodian, James W. Fannin Elementary School “Sandra goes above and beyond her daily job duties. She is constantly helping anyone in need. She greets students in the morning and is the first one to help them to the classroom. When a teacher is in need of anything, she finds a way to help and get things done. Sandra puts students first in everything she does. She is a true example of what ‘Fannin Strong’ stands for!”
Educator - Kimberly Wilburn, 5th grade teacher, Dr. J.A. Garcia Elementary School “Kimberly has the largest 100% in-person classroom in all of Garcia Elementary. She has organized her classroom into a strong learning environment with her best practice seating arrangements, continuous aggressive monitoring, instant feedback to all of her students, and very approachable manner for students and parents. She volunteers for anything and everything she knows will impact students in a positive manner.”
