foreword An event of tremendous importance comes back into the Romanian musical world. 13 years since the last edition and 26 years since the first in 1984, „Gheorghe Dima” International Music Competition returns on the agendas of musicians and music lovers. For the musical life of the 80’s and 90’s Romania, this national music confrontation represented a significant event through its resonance and dimensions, being probably considered second only to the „George Enescu” Festival. Between February 7-11th 2011, the Music Academy in Cluj-Napoca intends to revive a competition that hopefully will have a major impact on contemporary music performance. We are honoured by your interest in this flute and clarinet edition and wish you great success!

welcome
