Mentor support programme for PTs, OTTs, Pia, school mentors, and Pou Tautoko

Join us for the Te Poipoi Kaiako | Mentor support programme, designed to provide guidance to mentors and mentees on their journey toward full certification and ongoing PLD. Participants are able to learn at their own pace and through their preferred learning channels. Te Poipoi Kaiako | Mentor support programme is fully funded by the Ministry of Education and has been refocused from 2024 to best meet the needs of mentors, PTs, and OTTs.
Who is this programme for?
› Provisional teachers (PTs) in English medium and Pia in Māori medium settings
› Overseas trained teachers (OTTs) with provisional certification
› Mentor teachers and Pou Tautoko
› Schools, kura and early childhood centres
Programme details
Our mentoring programme provides consistent guidance to mentors who are supporting provisionally certified teachers on their journey toward full certification and ongoing PLD. The programme comprises a range of components across the course of two years, including webinars, in person workshops, self directed learning, e-learning and guidance resources. Mentors and mentees can navigate their pathway towards success.

Note: It is expected that PTs and OTTs will utilise their release time to undertake the programme. Mentor teachers need to organise their own release time when required. This programme does not provide teacher release time.
