Copenhagen Pride Week goes down from August 14. - 19. and this is the full program which includes free concerts, debates, workshops, seminars, parties and activities all aiming to celebrate love and diversity and to create a platform from which we can gain more knowledge and share our mutual experiences. Our human rights program this year is bigger than ever before with several more venues than previous years. Besides the debate tent on Regnbuepladsen (the Rainbow Square) and Brasserie Royal, our program also takes place at the City Hall, in Vartov and at AIDS-Fondet in Vestergade. A map of locations can be found inside. The board of Copenhagen Pride wishes to give a loud and proud shout-out to the amazing team of volunteers who has worked intensely over the last 6 months with planning and organising the human rights program. This year again we transform the City Hall Square into Pride Square from Tuesday 14. August until Saturday 18. August. Pride Square is open daily from noon and you can meet LGBT Danmark, AIDS-Fondet, Sabaah, Homoware, Wella, New York Pride, Stolichnaya, Barefoot Wine, LO & FTF, Cock’s & Cows, 7-Eleven and Pan Idræt along with several other partners who are present at Pride Square throughout the week. On stage we are especially proud of presenting a line-up of amazing Danish artists including Anne Linnet, Ida Corr, Iris Gold, L.I.G.A, Kill J and Jonezy. On Saturday we also look forward to seeing queer hip hop artist Zebra Katz conquer Pride Stage followed by legendary DJ Robin Skouteris who once again will be the closing act on Pride Stage. For those of you who still haven’t gotten enough, the official Pride Party will take place at Pumpehuset in Studiestræde. Copenhagen Pride Week is only possible because we have a lot of partners and sponsors who choose to support us financially and in other ways. For this support we are truly grateful, and we hope that you will pay attention to the organisations, brands and companies that come out and support us while celebrating the core values that are in the very heart of Copenhagen Pride. Concert night with live music. Copenhagen Pride is proud to present the uncrowned queen of Danish pop music, Anne Linnet. Together with a talented line-up by up and coming artists on stage expect a sensation of a concert in all the rainbow’s colours.

This year’s Drag Night is dedicated to the undisputed queen of Pop: Madonna! We have invited a Gang Bang of drag queens on stage to give us their Next Best Things of Madonna acts in a 4-hour long drag show. Expect to see one of Europe’s absolutely biggest and most amazing drag shows.

What will you be using your pussy for, once you get it? Which happiness will it bring you that your cock can’t? What’s on your mind when you masturbate? These are all examples of questions that many trans persons were asked when meeting the health workers at Rigshospitalet. Join a trailblazing debate/performance with spokesperson Moeisha Aden from Sabaah, who dares to mix up stories, truth and fiction about what it means to be transgender, a Muslim and a minority in the minority. 14:00 - 14:45 ROOM FOR EVERYONE IN FOOTBALL – ALSO LGBTS? DBU, the Danish national football [soccer] association, has kicked the ball into play on the LGBT area, but a number of questions pop up. What is it that in practice can make it hard for LGBT people to join in? What will it take out in the clubs to create a setting with room for everyone? The norm stormers will thematise the differences between diversity and tolerance in this debate, where we’ll discuss representation of LBGTIQA+ persons in popular culture and based on our experiences with normcritical teaching in the 7th to 10th grades. How are LGBTIQA+ persons portrayed in movies, series and other media? How do schools teach about LGBTIQA+? Are we dealing with diversification or a tolerance culture, and what are the different effects of each of these? Language: Danish. Venue: Debate Tent on the Rainbow Square

15:00 - 15:45 CHEMSEX – ADDICTED TO DRUGS OR TO SEX?

In Copenhagen and other cities around the world, chemsex – the use of psychedelic drugs in connection with sex – is on the rise amongst men, who sleep with men. In a study by AIDS-Fondet in the summer of 2017, several respond that they have had negative experiences related to chemsex, including sexual assaults, the loss of social relations, overdoses and addictions. At the same time, chemsex increases the risk of infection with HIV and other STIs significantly. Join the debate with experts from AIDS-Fondet about a phenomenon that takes up more and more space in the Danish gay scene and take part in discussing, what the scene in specific and society in general can and should do to minimise the related risks. In Denmark, the government recently introduced an LGBT action plan to help increase the focus on LGBTI people’s safety and promote openness. But how are things in Sweden and Norway? Come and join a conversation between, amongst others, the Danish minister for Equal Opportunities and pride representatives, where we share experiences and discuss the challenges and potential solutions to better quality of life for LGBTI persons. 16:00 - 16:45 INCLUSIVENESS AND THE USE OF LANGUAGE

What does it mean to be inclusive? How is exclusion and rejection felt, and how can we be better at avoiding this both in the scene and in society? Come join this discussion, where we want to shine a light on whether we succeed in creating inclusiveness, and how our way of speaking can affect the ability of others to join in. Language: Danish. 16:15 - 17:00 CONDITIONAL LOVE

Can love be conditional? Can parents love their children for ever, if they need their love of God to be even greater? Unfortunately, it is not alien for LGBT+ persons that their family’s acceptance and love is not without conditions, and even in a political landscape increasingly putting open-mindedness and diversity on the agenda, LGBT+ persons still experience challenges with everything from selfcensorship, unwanted homelessness to expulsion from the home. Sabaah in particular talks to many young people, who experience these challenges in their families and surroundings, where topics such as honour and shame can ultimately lead to checking in to crisis centres and residences. Sabaah therefore invites you to dialogue and debate about conditional love. Language: Danish. Venue: Debate Tent on the Rainbow Square

17:00 - 17:45 DID WE SWIPE INTIMACY TO DEATH?

Whether you’re after a quick bang or a romantic date, Grindr, Hornet and Tinder are amazing tools to get in touch with others on the scene. Research shows that since the different apps penetrated phones in Denmark, we have much more casual sex. But it seems that the casual goes hand-in-hand with the impersonal and even reckless – far more people are worse at discussing prevention, before the sheets start to rustle. Are we removing the intimacy from sex by cynically swiping right or left looking for our next hook-up? And how can that affect our own self-determination in terms of how to protect ourselves, who to have sex with and not least how? Stop in, when AIDS-Fondet invites you to a debate on how the universe of dating apps create both opportunities and challenges in our sex lives. Language: Danish. 17:00 - 17:45 NORM-CRITICS AT CHILDREN’S LEVEL

In this workshop we’ll give a short introduction to norm-critical practice at the children’s and youths area. We will investigate how norms concerning, amongst others, gender, sexuality and minority positions may have a negatively categorising effect on the pedagogical work – also in relation to some of today’s popular pedagogical concepts such as recognition and inclusion. There will be an opportunity to work with tools to become more critical of one’s own norms through case studies and discussions. Workshop focused on your own body awareness. We start with a brief theoretical overview, followed by exercises. The topics are body awareness games which contain closeness exercises, touching exercises, massage exercises (non-genital). All exercises will be focused on listening to your own body, daring to explore, drawing boundaries and expressing desires. What happens in you; e.g. when is a touch okay and when isn’t it; and what does it do to you, when it feels okay or when it doesn’t feel quite as okay? The workshop is a safe-space workshop open to any LGBTQIA+ person. It is a closed workshop, which you need to sign-up for through our Facebook event: KSP: Tantra mini-workshop. Language: Danish. 18:00 - 18:45 ASEXUAL IN A SEXUAL SOCIETY

A widespread understanding of sexuality is that of sexual liberation being a human right, but therein also lies a norm that “real” liberation includes hooking up with whomever you want, whenever you want, however you want. What happens for those, who fall outside that norm and do not have an interest in sex? Are they excluded from sexual liberation? Does it even hold true, when we in Denmark believe to have the right to our own sexuality? These questions are debated by the Danish Association of Asexuals. A panel will invite to a busy debate – with each other and with the audience. They seek to make it clear how asexuality affects various current understandings of sexuality, and to uncover the stigma met by asexuals in a sexualised society. Language: Danish. 18:00 - 18:45 LGBTQI FAMILY FORMATION

It’s not easy to form a family as an LGBTQI person. First off, there is the biological part: Should it be adoption, a rainbow family, a sperm donor, a surrogate or an entirely different option? Next up are the mental challenges, which can be both internal and external: How will the child react to the way it was brought into this world? Do others think of us as a real family? Who is the mother, and who is the father – and are both of those even needed? The chairman of Dare Danmark, Mikkel Raahede, is the father of 3 girls born by a carrier in the USA. Signe Fjord is a single mum by choice. Along with representatives of other family forms, they meet for a candid chat with each other and the audience about family formation, pressure of expectations and release. Language: Danish. We have invited the youth political parties to talk about LGBTQ rights in Denmark, where we will cover topics including: Where are we today? 19:00 - 19:45 A NEED FOR SEPARATIST SPACES?

We take our basis in the group KSKyoung and the opportunities and challenges in creating separatist spaces for a single minority in a minoritised environment. As an example, is it alright to make a space only for women, who sleep with women? Further to this, we dive deeper into some of the talks and exchanges that may take place in a space for WSWs. 19:30 - 21:00 WORKSHOP ABOUT INTIMACY AND CLOSENESS

On the LGBTQIA+ scene, many are happy to talk about sex. Casual sex, one-night stands and sex clubs. Sex on drugs and sex when drunk. But maybe we don’t talk quite as much about closeness and intimacy? In the hunt for the right partner, for many it becomes hard to keep themselves in focus. Are we sometimes willing to forego protection in our eagerness for acknowledgement and physical closeness, because we are scared of rejection? Does chemsex and alcohol become a choice, because we are vulnerable? And does HIV become just one pill a day? That, and much more, is the focus for MSM campaign manager Karoline Barkvoll Holstad and clinical sexologist Tonny Brønløkke Hertz from AIDS-Fondet. The way to discuss gender and sexuality has changed significantly, since those now 70+ years old were young and forced into hiding. Some have been open, but go back into their closet. If you don’t know the conditions of LGBT+ seniors, it becomes hard to give them the right care and attention. Hear, how the seniors want to be able to thrive. Language: Danish. Today there are many different tools to fight HIV. What are their respective advantages, and how can we combine them to take better care of each other? How would your rights speech sound, in the year 2018? This workshop explores what speech-writing as a tool can be used for, and how speeches can create room for change and be used to shine the spotlight on LGBT+ person’s experiences and rights. When the Pride movement was founded in the aftermath of the Stonewall riots, transgender persons and drags were key driving forces. Also in Denmark, The Gay Liberation Front was characterised by fluid gender expressions. Here, the activists were men in dresses, who marched through the city and thereby pushed the understanding of gender and sexuality. The question is; have we lost our way? Has the Pride become too CIS-gendered? At this panel, local drag queens will discuss why drag is more than lip-syncing and high heels, and why drags are needed in the Pride. BDSM / Power Exchange is, among other things, about becoming aware of both sides of ourselves; both the dominant and the submissive parts, and about exploring ourselves; expressing desires and setting boundaries. After a short, theoretical talk about remedies, agreements, respect for boundaries and similar, a practice-game will be organised, where participants can explore the dynamics in devotion, control and boundary-setting with respect and trust. Some are afraid to see their doctor, even if they have a lump in the breast or testicle that needs examination, while other LGBTQs do not get the help they should, because time is spent explaining and informing about their ‘different’ lifestyle. I May 2017, Amnesty International published the report “First Do No Harm – Securing the rights of children with variations in gender characteristica in Denmark and Germany”. The report covered the violations of human rights that intersex children are subjected to in Denmark and Germany. However, intersex children grow up to become intersex youths and adults, and this is where we’ll focus. The debate will be based on several of the topics and challenges that an intersex youth and adult risks facing. How does it feel as a young intersex person, when none of the things taught in biology and sexual education match the workings of your own body? We know that stigma and self-hate are vital challenges, when it comes to preventing e.g. HIV, and for that reason the struggle for inclusion is important. Many LGBTQIA persons experience their sexual observation and gender identity being either emphasised as ‘best practice’ for HR and CSR strategies, or either kept invisible and followed by harassment in an often masculine working environment. That duality makes the LGBTQIA area a tight balancing act in many organisations, and many leaders therefore sweep the topic under the carpet. Film project by Lotte Nielsen. YAOI (Istanbul) depicts a group of youngsters from the LGBT scene from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. It takes place under the de facto dictatorship in Turkey at a time when conditions for LGBT people in the country are greatly exacerbated. We meet Nirhan, Yunus and Hakan, who introduce us to their personal lives: their first sexual encounters, their relationship to their parents and the thoughts of suicide that several of them have had. 15:00 - 15:45 INCREASED EFFORTS THROUGH THE HPV VACCINE TO MSMS

It is estimated that around 80 % of sexually active persons are infected by HPV at some point during their lives. Especially men, who sleep with men (MSMs) are a group at risk, since they have an increased risk of developing anal cancer due to the HPV virus and were not previously offered a vaccination. AIDS-Fondet and the Danish Health Authority have therefore joined forces to offer a free HPV vaccine to boys between 15 and 20 years of age in a limited period of time. Since 2014, students at the first semester of the bachelor’s degree in Social Education have been taught a 6-week module called ‘Gender, sexuality and diversity’. That module touches on a vast number of themes related to the professional work in social education – including gender identity, gendered and gender-divided activities, gender roles, accommodation, language, sexuality and sexual development across different age groups and difference social education specialities. In 2016, Akademikerne (Epinion) carried out a study of the labour market and the working environment for LGBT+ persons. The results were discouraging and showed that only a little less than one-third of those questioned considered it relevant to contact their trade union representatives in case of discrimination and exclusion. Considering this knowledge, and not least keeping in mind the new LGBTI action plan by the Danish Government, the Danish Association of Masters and PhDs (DM) calls a debate salon on this topic: What can labour unions do to improve the working environment for LGBT+ persons? Based on the debate salon, DM will join with participants from the various scenes and launch an effort to phrase a particular focus on the working environment for LGBT+ persons. This year’s official host is journalist, debater and author Abdel Aziz Mahmoud, and he will undoubtedly spread love all over Pride Square and tie up the show on stage in all the colours of the rainbow.
