AKSHITA LAD

akshitalad.com

Ms. Akshita Lad’s art is a celebration of emotional well-being, offering moments of peace, serenity, and joy. Believing in the transformative power of art, she invites viewers to experience her work as a source of inspiration and light in a world often clouded by negativity. Her art reflects a fusion of classical aesthetics—drawing from Greek, Roman, and Impressionist influences—with a contemporary touch. Each piece emerges from a space of emotional freedom, balancing classical technique with expressive spontaneity. Through sensitive use of color and texture, she crafts harmonious works that explore the spectrum of human emotions, inviting viewers to connect with the stories within. Her paintings capture a timeless quality, drawing on universal themes that resonate across cultures, offering viewers both familiarity and a sense of wonder. Ms. Lad’s art aspires to be more than visual—it is a journey, aiming to elevate the soul and foster a sense of shared humanity. Each work is a reminder of our innate connection to one another, nature, and the beauty in life’s simplest moments. She envisions each creation as a timeless treasure that brings warmth and beauty to those who encounter it, embodying empathy, compassion, and the joy of the human spirit.

ALEJANDRO FUNES

My art is a continuous quest for connection and transcendence—a bridge between the tangible present and the invisible dimensions that shape our existence. Rooted in photography, I capture colors, textures, and forms that resonate with the essence of the places I visit, transforming them through digital art to create visual portals into new realities. Each piece reflects a personal journey of self-discovery and inner transformation, enriched by the teachings of diverse cultures and traditions I have explored throughout my life. I draw profound inspiration from the Renaissance, an era that awakened human consciousness, and strive to evoke that same spirit in my work, inviting viewers on a journey toward introspection and expanded awareness. My creative process is an active meditation where images and elements seem to reveal themselves with profound meaning. My works are not merely visual but carry encoded messages in colors and forms that awaken memories, emotions, and new perspectives. From Mexico, with its wealth of ancestral cultures, to global stages where my art has been recognized, my mission is to convey a universal message of unity, free will, and the beauty of diversity. In every piece, I invite viewers to explore their connection to the eternal, reminding them of who we truly are: creators of our own reality.

Reflection: Looking back at where I was five years ago and seeing what all I have accomplished to receive such a complimentary, prestigious award. Pausing life, thoughts and emotions to learn, grow and embrace the future. For life isn’t simple, each day is precious and meant to be lived to its greatest potential. My husband had suddenly passed and I had to find a way to brighten my days. Photography became my focus, nature became peace of mind. Presenting my art became nominations, publications and awards. I was told to try, to put my art out there. I had to see what I was capable of. I had value and a life to live. What transpired was a woman with immense desire to grow beyond imagination. I wrote about my photos expressing feelings from my heart. The wonderful comments became a source of encouragement. I will continue to strive for success.

“The Path in Peace”

“The expansive view of the landscape with its vivid blue sky stretching over a sunlit path. The contrast between the earth tones of the grass and trees and the vastness of the sky evokes a sence of peaceful solitude inviting the viewer to step into the tranquility of the scene.” -Tim, Thompson Gallery, Switzerland

“Walk This Way”

My heart, smile and vision. In memoriam to my husband Doug. We learned to fly his drone here together. His faith in me I will forever treasure within my heart.

ANDREA GENDUSA

framelightstudio.art

Andrea Gendusa’s artistic journey masterfully blends traditional and digital mediums, creating a harmonious dialogue between form and technology that is both captivating and thought-provoking. Born in Turin, Gendusa first immersed himself in the tactile world of painting at Liceo Artistico Renato Cottini, while his fascination with digital media led him to explore uncharted creative territories, uniting conventional techniques with contemporary innovation. His studies at IED in Turin marked a pivotal chapter, expanding his artistic vocabulary to include virtual and digital design. Here, Gendusa honed his technical expertise and developed a multidisciplinary approach, laying the foundation for his unique artistic vision. In 2019, he founded Frame Light Studio, a creative space where personal projects and commercial ventures converge. Within this studio, Gendusa crafts narratives that transcend the tangible, inviting viewers into contemplative realms. Light and form become his tools for weaving stories that resonate deeply with the essence of humanity. At the heart of Gendusa’s work lies a desire to create art that speaks beyond words. His pieces serve as an invitation for self-reflection, blending technology, aesthetics, and a belief in beauty’s transformative power. Through the interplay of light and form, Gendusa crafts visual experiences that connect viewers with the sublime and encourage exploration of our collective consciousness. Andrea Gendusa’s art is not merely visual but profoundly introspective. As a storyteller, he uses his visual language to illuminate a deeper understanding of human existence, positioning his work as a bridge to richer, more meaningful connections with ourselves and the world.

ANNA TERESA LAURITA

lauritaannat.it

Anna Teresa Laurita is an emerging figure in contemporary neo-expressionism, bringing a distinct perspective to a genre historically dominated by male artists, such as the legendary Jean-Michel Basquiat. Laurita’s art is marked by the use of vivid, contrasting colors and an approach that emphasizes emotional depth and personal experience. This focus allows her work to balance the expressive freedom characteristic of neo-expressionism with a unique infusion of femininity and introspection. Laurita describes her creative process as one that starts with an oniric, almost dream-like quality, evolving into a more structured interplay of line and color. Her technique, while appearing simplistic at first glance, gradually reveals layers of complexity as she builds each composition. The result is work that feels both deliberate and spontaneous, illustrating a seamless transition from raw emotion to cohesive artistic expression.

BERNARD PINEAU

As far as my memory allows, I remember a strong spiritual appetite. Strong spiritual appetite which only grew thereafter. Consequently I devoured many readings centered on spirituality, wisdom, religions but also painting. My two passions, spirituality and painting were born and would accompany me all my life. I have made long pilgrimages to India. I have stayed in several ashrams. Failing to be able to meet them, I wanted to see and feel the presence of these great sages on whom I had read and meditated a lot. The last pilgrimage was a challenge because not only did I want to reach the sacred places of the Himalayas (Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, etc.) but I wanted to do it as a modest pilgrim, so without any preparation or reservation. Hoping to meet sages, hermits, yogis. I was fulfilled and I came back changed because imbued with the sublime energies of temples, Saddhus and songs. Like some Americans and Europeans I met there, I could have chosen to stay there. My painting is a spiritual quest and a sharing. An illustration of elements of wisdom also and fragments of experience or travels. In short, a mosaic.

BOGDAN DYULGEROV

bogdansartwork.com

Most of my artworks are abstract, I wish to connect my audience with my vision and the emotions I experience in the act of painting. I love to create multi-layered paintings filled with texture. Every layer contains a story. By peeling back paint in certain areas is to reveal parts of the narrative which came before. Another advantage of abstract painting I believe - using various techniques and materials gives me unlimited freedom to create my own world of forms and colours. The most important thing in my working process is to combine colours and nuances which ‘love each other’ in such a way that the painting will echo beautifully.

CARMEN RIEGER

iris-fluidism.com

FLUIDISM is the most important moment in my artistic career. It is the essence of what I am. It is all about fluidity. Everything flows. Fluidity belongs to the human being, is in our biological composition and in the composition of our society in which we all are immersed. It is about a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression. It is about a reality that finds and elaborates its nature in the liquid state of things. We are immersed in it and we are carried away by the flow of eternal becoming FLUIDISM is a concept through which I express my artistic creed in works of art, inspired by the existence of a complex substance of outstanding properties and qualities -WATER.

WATER is a unique and indestructible substance, WATER is the basis of life, growth and change, WATER has the ability to regenerate continually, WATER soothes and heals,

WATER shows understanding and sensitivity,

WATER is an accomplished artist, WATER is the most important element on the planet, can be found in 70% of our earth and in the same proportion in the bodies of humans, animals and plants _ sometimes even in a larger quantity. I have chosen to use the 7 colors of the rainbow and the shades obtained by combining them in all of my artworks.

I am a Lithuanian artist. I started my active path as an artist more than 5 years ago. Abstract art came into my life as I was fascinated by the freedom of creativity. After all, each of us, looking at the picture, will find its own - individual, personal meaning. As I experimented with new techniques, my work was constantly changing, and I became more and more fascinated by surrealism, which allows me to tap into the depths of the subconscious and explore mysterious, dream-like worlds. On this path, I discovered new opportunities to combine various forms of expression, to create multi-layered stories that invite the viewer to look deeper and discover hidden layers of meaning. My artworks has been exhibited in various galleries and exhibitions. I actively participate in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. My works have been exhibited in major European cities - Milan, Madrid, Paris, Rome, Dubai and London. Also, Alicante, Fuerteventura, Genoa, Monaco, Venice. I aim to continue to develop my artistic practice, contributing to the contemporary art scene with a unique and engaging voice.

ELKE BUEGLER

elkebuegler.art

The self-taught artist, Elke Bügler is passionate about bringing the facets of her inner world to canvas. From large-scale flowers and impasto sailing boats to abstract structures and monochrome visualisations, her creativity knows no bounds. Characterised by a red colour palette, her work is a spontaneous and dynamic expression of acrylic painting. Inspired by her favourite colour red, she continues to use it in new and vibrant ways. Elke Bügler began her artistic career in the spring of 2023, when she recognised her great passion and began to study materials, techniques and colour theory on her own. She now follows the path of the artist, expressing her inner thoughts in a work of art that touches the interested viewer and stimulates reflection. The artist experiments with colours and structures, from the figurative to the abstraction of a movement or emotion in colour. Sometimes she approaches the realisation of her ideas in a planned and direct way, only to give free rein to her imagination in a playful way the next moment. In the end, the creative process results in a unique piece that stands on its own and conveys a clear message.

GERARD HUBER

In christianized Western civilization, depictions of naked male flesh have been so closely associated with evil that the only way a nude male body could be tolerated was if it was being abused, punished, or mutilated – a sort of sadomasochistic expiation of an unconscious guilt about merely having a body, whereas depictions of female nudity are culturally acceptable according to John Berger’s “Ways of Seeing” because they provide opportunities for “acceptable” male possession whether in fact or desire. My goal is to challenge contempt for the fully nude male figure, which is thought to be, at best, embarrassing and, at worst, indecent. My exploration involves placing homoerotic male nudes in intimate domestic locations, which engage the viewer either as voyeur or partner. The work is meant to challenge the viewer to examine their values and prejudices vis-a-vis intimacy and the nude male. My intent is to invite the viewer to confront their own beliefs and values about the naked body and to resolve for themselves the question of good and evil regarding nudity in general, and male nudity in particular, as well as provide a peacefully sensual way of drawing the viewer into a space that challenges heteronormative assumptions of male competition, and which demonstrates that same-sex relationships are wholesome, healthy and life-affirming.

GILDA

GILDA FRUMKIN

gilda-art.gr

A self-taught painter from the age of six, for Gilda Frumkin painting is a way of living, expression and communication. After 22 solo exhibitions in Greece and Italy, her participation in many group exhibitions and in the Florence Biennale of 2007, the 1st Izmir Biennale of 2009 and the London Biennale 2015+2021 the artist feels that she must continue to create and communicate through art with people even more than before. Her favorite theme “The Human Passage” presents objects that from time to time people have used, needed, bonded with, loved and that are now forgotten. The reality is that Gilda paints whatever leads her to come into contact with the colors and the light and the odor of the art. “I teach painting to adults since 1996 and the most important that I’m trying to pass them, is to be genuine and to love their uniqueness” says the unique artist.

Principles of work In my conceptual work, image or stylistic characteristics do not play an important role. I consider such concepts to be outdated after postmodernism. Images have become the commonplace of mass culture. Only by providing an image with new codes or context can it escape from them: I borrow images and recompose them. It is about a representation of concepts that are regularly discussed in our contemporary visual world, but through manipulation, contextual alienation and associative reference, they produce a new visual meaning. In my photography I look for images that strike me because of the same context alienation. Not staged, but created by chance. The surprise then lies in the fact that the camera registers a moment, which stands out for its direct, sometimes absurd alienation.

HEIDI MINETTI

linktr.ee/minettigalleri.

A Visionary Journey through Abstraction, Expression, and Fantasy Heidi Minetti’s art defies boundaries, bridging the worlds of abstraction, figuration, and expressionism with a raw yet delicate energy that speaks volumes about her internal landscapes and external visions. Her work embodies an extraordinary synthesis of emotion, narrative, and form, revealing not just an artist but a storyteller whose works evoke deep, visceral reactions. The paintings and sculptures Heidi Minetti creates, as evidenced by the images provided, bear a strong resemblance to the emotional force of post-war European expressionism, but with a unique twist of fantasy and whimsicality that aligns her work with contemporary intuitive art. In much the same way as Jean Dubuffet and his Art Brut sought to tap into the raw energy of unfiltered creative impulses, Heidi Minetti, too, embraces the spontaneity and emotional intensity of the subconscious in her compositions. Her works often appear as if they were born from a dream state, charged with symbolism, abstraction, and surreal figures that invite contemplation and intrigue. In her works like “Magic Life” and “Horselife”, Heidi Minetti merges vivid, fantastical elements with a textured physicality that brings her painted subjects to life. The fiery palette, a hallmark of her artistic language, reverberates with energy, suggesting both the warmth of life and the emotional complexities that reside beneath the surface. There is an aliveness in her brushstrokes, with a richness of color that recalls the wild, uncontained use of paint tempered with a sophisticated layering technique that builds complexity and depth.

HÉDIA CARRON

I’m from Switzerland and have painted since adolescence, exposed since 1996. As a self-taught woman, I like to discover and enrich myself with various techniques and always learn. I had done theater during my studies in the Superior Commercial School (sport & art section), and in 2024 I did coaching in acting with Jo Kelly from Los Angeles in her formation “33-day reset journey” To be or not to act. Now I’m in the next level of coaching. This new tool opened me to another part of myself and a new evolution in my art. I don’t want to be locked up in an “only” style, I like to move from one technique to another. I love to work with pigments, spices, and different materials. Gold is for me a medium of light and a carrier of the vibration I put in my creations (painting, pigments or leaves). In my art trip, so in my life, I follow my intuition and feelings to create my artwork to share my love and joy of life. My last project was on the inspiration of the short movie “Strange Way of Life – Extraña Forma de Vida” by Pedro Almodòvar with Ethan Hawke and Pedro Pascal. I’m grateful for all the gifts I received and continue to receive in my life in my crazy art journey.

HOWARD HARRIS

Visual reality is an ever-shifting, highly individualized experience. In any given moment, what we see reflects our inner state and synthesis of outer qualities—light, color, movement, and space. My exploration of Techspressionism and dimensional photographic art represents an attempt to recreate the perceptual experience with its dynamic nature and hidden complexities. In my patented process, I use photographic constructions, a single, often abstracted, image is layered over itself on clear acrylic surfaces and superimposed on a subtle grid. The resulting visual phenomenon infuses the image with a sense of dimensionality and fluidity affected by such changes as the angle of viewing and light. Yet perceptual mechanics are only part of the equation. Equally essential are universal principles of design that produce qualities we perceive as beauty. This is my aim: to combine technology and aesthetics in a way that expands the viewer’s experience of photographic art.

In addition, she is permanently affiliated with some galleries and she has her own gallery in her hometown. Other than that, Janni Nyby has received a number of awards and is featured in a number of art books and Art magazines and a TV program has been produced in 2024 about her artistic work. Janni Nyby paint colorful nature and landscape abstractions. She combine a sea of different techniques and typically start a painting based on preliminary thoughts or from the many photos she takes at home and abroad, which during the creation process can transform in completely different directions before she put the signature on the finished painting. Her approach is best described as abstract expressionist and she love using all colors in the palette. She is deeply intrigued by the individual’s interpretations and perspectives on what the viewer sees and she ia delighted every time one of her paintings becomes “a bridge to the other human being”. Therefore, she deliberately fail to give her paintings titles, to give the viewer unlimited freedom in terms of sensing, experiencing and telling. In the painting process itself, she loves, when colors, shapes, composition and expression come together in a whole where there is both calm and energy.

My life and art are based on my own philosophical thoughts and experiences. I’m interested in the philosophy of immanence and transcendence on all beings, And this means that I try to focus on the essence of life by establishing core values, and at the same time, sublimate it into my works. I look at the relationship between human and nature and the universe from a very broader perspective. I think all thoughts and consciousness are breath, The breath is the switch between the conscious and the subconscious mind, It’s a connected cycle of creation and extinction. And It’s a soul resonance beyond the time frame. I try to listen to all the conceptions of all things, have an open mind and remember what resonates. Therefore, my surrealism is simply is not just an exploration of the unconscious. It is a question of will and philosophy, constant introspection. I value awakening and balance, and try to embody the meaning of existence and non-existence, and the nature of things in an implicit and artistic way. My art is intended to make the viewers think, but my delivery is intended to make the viewers listen to their own inner voice. It makes people, including myself, think beyond reality and into the essence of reality. As I look back on that afternoon so long ago that presented my life, When remembering the experience of seeing the interconnected nature of all things.. The flash point of all creation in the present moment is immortality.

Art has always been a part of my life since childhood, but I followed a conventional path of a stable career until I decided to pursue my passion for painting. I am guided by the philosophy of Albert Einstein: ‘Creativity is contagious, pass it on’. My art goes beyond visual appreciation and touches the intangible realms of the mental, psychological, spiritual and emotional.”

LARS WESTBY

@westbylars

I have recently been working on two series of paintings after having focused on creating ceramic sculptures for many years. One are the High Relief Paintings where the paint protrudes from the surface in colorful frozen drips. The other series are the Droplet Paintings which are presented here. The Droplet Paintings are spawned during the process of creating the High Relief Paintings. They inform each other and are symbiotic in nature and process. In creating the Droplet Paintings, thousands of droplets of paint are dripped onto a canvas in layers to create a multi-layered dynamic surface. The effect is a highly colored abstract effervescent surface. These works are abstract yet allude to something within their layers of paint. An image seems to reveal itself yet remains aloof and a mystery. It is this layering of paint, quasi image and mystery that I look to express. What lies between the layers? What does it appear to reveal? Is it the paint revealing itself? This is the realm I look to explore. Layers of meaning to be exposed through the paint and the act of seeing.

LYNN MOVISH

My art begins with a treasure hunt. I find vintage lunch boxes where the scenes or characters have faded from view. I have a passion for the innocence of nostalgia that is only surpassed by my love of all that sparkles. By taking genuine crystals, some as small as the tip of a pen, I not only bring the characters and scenes back to life, I add a color intensity that is beyond what originally existed. By choosing varying crystal sizes and mixing pattern options, I create an added dimension that helps the crystals bounce in the light. Ultimately, I transform an old cherished relic into a modern day keepsake.

As a digital fine artist, my primary focus is on conveying biblical context through the use of flower characters. By integrating divine words with the form of flowers, I create a unique blend of art and spirituality. My work is further enhanced by the simulated backgrounds, which serve as a stage for the spiritual imagery drama I aim to portray. My goal is to evoke a sense of wonder and inspiration in the viewer, inviting them to delve deeper into the biblical narratives and contemplate their own spiritual journey.

Art represents more than an individual’s ability to reproduce nature; it materializes a vision, evoking various emotions in viewers. From early civilizations through modern times, artists have been telling stories that show our ancestors’ way of life, and the cultural transformation and evolution of the human race, expressed in paintings, sculptures, literature, and music, among others.

MARCUS STEWART

We all endure the test of time, and we see and live in different walks of life. Through this we learn new things, gain wisdom, and evolve. I love to see the beauty that life itself has to offer: The chaos, the passion, the resilience, and all the underlying tones of reality. Through art I try to tear apart the fabrics of humanity and analyze those threads in effort to portray the emotions we encounter to illustrate the beauty that can be found within them. With as much evil there is in this world there is beauty in who we are and in the environment around us. I believe the more we stop and smell the roses, the more we will be able to find peace in a world ridden with war.

MARIA STELLA POLCE

mariastellapolce.it

Italian artist (and teacher at the Ministry of Public Education), self-taught and multifaceted, she showed her passion for art from a young age, painting in oils with a realistic style. Subsequently, she experimented with other techniques, ranging from pastels to acrylics, tempera, enamels, painting on glass, etc., until she arrived at digital art in the year 2000. With the discovery of fractals, generated by her on the computer, and with the artistic current of Fractalism (Manifesto of the Cultural Movement “Fractalism”, by Master Giorgio Orefice, published in 1999, considered the protagonist of this avant-garde which had repercussion throughout the world), therefore, Maria Stella Polce has created surprising works, of great visual impact, that are born from fractals and their modification. With this new genre of digital art, she has been actively participating, since 2015, in collective exhibitions and artistic events in Italy and abroad, has received numerous awards and is featured in magazines and various art catalogs including the Mondadori CAM 54 Modern Art Catalog, the Elite 2019 and 2020, the De Agostini Contemporary Art Atlas 2021, etc.

MATTHEW MARK

“When I make art, I try to think about it as something separate from the normal world - as if art is a world of its own. My goal is to create artwork that is meaningful, powerful, influential, symbolic and will have an impact in the world. I explore humanity through my thoughts, feelings, and emotions subjectively. I take what I have seen, heard, read about, or experienced and incorporate these elements expressively back into my art. I delve into the realms of the light and dark and everything else in between. My art is disclosing what is already known and also, the Unknown..

MICHAEL KOPPLSTÄTTER

michael-kopplstaetter.com

Michael Kopplstätter is a German, Austrian self-taught artist who lives and works in Dornbirn and Schwarzenberg, Austria. The artworks, mostly painted in oil, are mainly large scale canvas. Today, the artist has created his own signature style by working through partial blurring between static and blurred planes that leave a vague sense of what lies beneath the surface. Perception and distortion merge together. A distorted reality emerges between frozen space and time, what was and what will be. On the surface, the works appear to be an intoxicating vision of exhibitionism and existentialism, to the point of voyeuristic traits, but intimacy and the unknown are exposed in an independent, artificial way. His unmistakable color palette strikes a chord of desire, control and loss control. The protagonist hovers between abstraction and distorted reality, remaining blurred, shadowy and distorted in a frozen time and space. The thematic focus of his works is the human figure, although the work remains enigmatic and creates a palpable tension between abstract forms, realism and a distorted reality. Each brushstroke confirms his passion to the artistic craft. His paintings engage a diverse audience in a dialog that goes beyond the visual. In addition to solo and group exhibitions in Europe and gallery presentations, his works have been shown in a museum exhibition. His paintings have been shown for exhibitions during the Venice Biennale, Art Basel Miami and Art Basel Paris. His art is represented in various collections. Publications have appeared in various international specialist magazines and books.

My painting art starts with sketch, photo and real life which withholds much enthusiasm about those spots I saw something with particularly interesting, meaningful or shock sometimes. Then I create the art pieces through painting as the attempt to create the real works beyond the originally sketch or photo to more of illusion to other level. I am always fascinated by history, culture, humanity and nature and try to express both reality and spiritual world through my art works. The creation process is also kind of great fulfillment.

As a neurodivergent artist with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, creativity has always been the most authentic way for me to connect with the world around me. Through the use of heavy-bodied acrylics, my art becomes a sensory experience. Drawing inspiration from the coastal landscapes of Cape Cod National Seashore, I create contemporary seascapes, abstract compositions, and still lifes that are sometimes referred to as sculptures on canvas. The primary objective of my artistic practice is to foster meaningful connections with those who engage with my work.

I have been an artist for over 30 years, located in Melbourne Australia. I have recently stood out for my ability to deal with different themes and mediums, showing versatility and a unique artistic style. The use of vibrant colours helps me express my view of the subject matter, with positive emotions. My focus has been on nature, abstract and resign art. Recently experimenting on acrylic / resign art, adding another layer to the visual experience. The nature art is a reflection of the great Australian outdoors, focusing on impact and colour, with oversized art pieces, that create a big impact when you walk into the art exhibition. My abstract style has incorporated a typical expressionistic flair, with bright tones and strong visual impact. I am always trying to transmit a powerful dynamism between brush strokes and spots of colour, to make the picture jump out from the canvas. The ultimate aim with my gem stone art, is to give life to the devastating and regenerative force of the cosmos, using precious gem stones and crystals, in a way that creates a feeling that you are staring out into space. My multidisciplinary approach has attracted more interest from art lovers, as there is always one favourite creation, that triggers an optical sensation or mood from the viewers unconscious. I thank the team at “The Contemporary Art Station” for selecting me as a winner of this award.

I expect a certain amount of randomness in my process. I never quite know how a picture will turn out because each image has a life of its own. My work deals with the rainbow of randomness and chaos that is part of our daily lives.

RICHARD MICHELLE-PENTELBURY

Richard Michelle-Pentelbury enjoys deploying different stylistic methods to depict our many viewpoints of life. Multiply awarded across the disciplines of art, academics, teaching, theatre directing, musicals, plays, acting, and writing too, Richard integrates his many fields of interest into his images. He feels that art speaks individually to us, but in differing voices during our times with it, as we bring our own lives to its presence. Past, Present, and Potential are depicted using Renaissance oil-glazing, (which is a patient process of layering transparent colours.) As such, somewhat surreal, his paintings are intended to inspire inquisitiveness, as they yoke the inherent variables of spiral dynamics, integrating our progressive ‘holons’ of metacognitive realizations. The esoteric depends on one’s knowledge. The spiritual depends on one’s resonance. The feeling, or reaction, is in the moment. Displayed in art shows internationally, such as, Basel; Venice; and Zurich; New York; Miami; and in Canada too, Richard’s paintings have received international awards, such as the Masterful Minds Award; the Artistic Excellence Award; the World Art Award; the American Art Award; and the prized Art Collector’s Choice Award. The two paintings, ‘Soul Spring’, and ‘Destiny?’, as seen herein, as well as several others, (and his novels too,) are available through his website, at: www.RichardMichellePentelbury.com

My work focuses on the evolution of forms and the deconstruction of figures, bodies, and faces. Through my creations, I explore the processes of deconstruction and reconstruction to express the complexity and diversity of human and animal forms. My works feature geometrized bodily fragments while maintaining striking realism. This fusion of anatomical elements and cartoon characters gives rise to deformed, hybrid, strange, and imposing creatures, paving the way for a new pictorial narrative.

I draw inspiration from various sources, including everyday experiences and the works of contemporary artists. As one mentor stated, “All art comes from other art.” My paintings are categorised as abstract figurative, with limited emphasis on realism. When creating still-life works, I consider the connection between my roles as an industrial painter and that of a fine artist. I begin by assembling the subjects and sketching them from different angles, ultimately selecting one sketch as the basis for my painting. I often work on multiple pieces simultaneously, and a painting is considered complete only when I stop wanting to pick up my paintbrush.

SIMON DARLING

As an artist, I’m known for my mastery of deep, obscure portraits that transcend conventional understanding. Through a style I’ve devised as “Imitated Pragmatism,” I explore the intricacies of human emotion, identity, and the enigmatic nature of perception. My work is a reflection of the complexities inherent in the human experience, capturing moments of introspection, ambiguity, and existential questioning. Each stroke of my brush is a deliberate act of excavation, unearthing the hidden truths and contradictions that define our existence. Drawing from a rich array of influences including poetry, psychology, and philosophy, I seek to create art that resonates on a deeply personal level while also inviting viewers to confront universal themes. My portraits, characterized by their depth and ambiguity, serve as mirrors to the soul, challenging viewers to confront their own perceptions and biases. As a multiple award-winning artist, I am driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation. Each new piece is an opportunity to push the boundaries of my craft, experimenting with practice, texture, and symbolism to create works that are both visually striking and intellectually stimulating. In a world that often privileges surface appearances over deeper meaning, I believe in the transformative power of art to provoke thought, inspire empathy, and foster connection. Through my portraits, I invite viewers to engage in a dialogue with the unknown, to embrace the ambiguity of existence, and to discover beauty in the shadows.

I am a visual artist who captures a different horizon in that deep sound I hear when I read intensely between the lines... the lines of perspective. A painting… starts with a point. One out of infinite possibilities… Then follows a line, on the surface of height and width, following the comprehensive wind. Crushing, caressing, capturing… a space. Almost touching the horizon… whisper of the wind on the cutting edge… My work is like the wind, perceiving perspective. A perspective which touches and surrounds me, and in its essence forms the source of my work and sparkles in endless interfaces. It’s composing with the shades of rainbow-light… While the Brushes in my hand are weaving lines and tunes into the shades… Words strung like beads on a string fall featherlight on a thin surface… A song to see… Rainbow-light grows into whispered words of a high-pitched rhapsody… A song to see. Art is like a river, it’s current taking me freely to a different horizon capturing me

TEODORO SAN JOSE

My sculptural work arises from the desire to create spaces for dialogue. Both my public and private works have the clear intention of intervening in people’s everyday lives. They do not remain in standardised exhibition spaces, but aim to find their own place and audience. Thus, the point of reference changes and with it the piece itself. This transformation without change is one of the fundamental ideas of my artistic work. Tension as a dynamic balance between concepts appears in all its aspects. A language far removed from representation that seeks a synthesis of meanings. We are faced with a sculpture where matter and emptiness not only give shape to space, but also penetrate it to create new emotional and physical places. The current series is based on the idea of transferring the dynamic and the peaceful to the realm of the plastic arts. Working from this position allows me to create mental spaces in which intuition and subjective thoughts are of essential value. While the fact that its forms are curved and stylised creates a state of lightness. It is precisely this relationship between the elements that interests me.

CUESTA

Art is my way of exploring the great questions that define us: Who am I? Where do I come from? What am I here to do? Every piece I paint reflects these inquiries and invites you to find your own answers. The female figure is the soul of my work. She symbolizes life, creativity, resilience, and the human and divine connection. Through her, I seek to remind you that we are all part of Mother Earth, connected to her beauty, and responsible for her care. My technique blends hyperrealism with dreamlike surrealism. Watercolor allows me to capture transparency and light, evoking deep emotions. Symbols like trees, eyes, and animals represent growth, vision, strength, and freedom. Each painting is an open dialogue, inviting your interpretation. Painting is an act of surrender and love. When I paint, I disappear; the artwork guides me, knowing its message. My hands and eyes follow its direction in a magical process. Beyond creating beauty, my goal is to open spaces for reflection, introspection, and connection. As you contemplate my art, I hope you find a mirror that inspires you to care for yourself, others, and the world we share. Art has the power to heal, transform, and remind us of our immense capacity to evolve and build a more conscious, loving future.

Civilization ignoring the elegies of Mother Earth

In my paintings and poems, in Hebrew and English, I explore ecology and social life on our vulnerable planet. I use mixed media, transparent, and opaque, mainly on paper. Streams of spontaneous running paint cages a blurred deer, rudely trod upon by my shoe or a car tire. An elephant with a broken task appears out of chaos. An abused nude body of a woman, her head hidden with a fig leaf, and a knife and fork beside her to remind us of murder in the family. The threat of nuclear weapons is always on my mind (MSc Chemistry). The atrocities and the cruel war in my own country, in Ukraine, and other places drive me to act for Peace with my humble tools. Inspired by the return of migrating birds at the revived Hula Lake, I wrote:

FOLLY WARS

Migratory birds, from north to south and back, season after season, millions of miles. Each flap of wings supports the bird behind. Mysterious migration, following a map of stars at night, the sun’s compass during daylight. No fuel, no flag, no borders, No God. Fraternity of feathers, Caressing the planet. Fugitives of hunger and frost.

No Folly Wars.

Through my work, I tell stories without words, using images that exist on the boundary between what is visible and what remains unseen. My photography is a play of light and shadow, of forms and details, aiming to evoke the mystery of what lies hidden. Each image invites interaction, a dialogue between what you see and what you feel. I believe art is not merely visual; it can touch deeper emotional and energetic layers. With my lens, I strive to capture moments that convey more than meets the eye—moments that resonate with memories, dreams, or forgotten emotions. My work is about connection: between the viewer and the image, between nature and humanity, and between what is and what could be. I invite people to pause, feel, and open themselves to the stories my images tell. Photography, for me, is an intuitive process—a way to capture the energy and emotions of a moment and transform them into art. I aim to create images that not only inspire but also provoke questions and encourage self-reflection. Each piece is a window into another world—a world where interaction, emotion, and wonder take center stage.

WINSTON TRAGICO

Tragico was born in Cebu City, Philippines in 1959. His Mother was a Teacher and his Father was a Harbour Pilot. His paintings are deconstructed to the extent that meaning is shifted and possible interpretation becomes multifaceted. By creating situations and breaking the passivity of the spectator, he investigates the dynamics of landscape, including the manipulation of its effects and the limits of spectacle based on our assumptions of what landscape means to us. Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated to conjure the realms of our imagination. His works are based on inspiring situations: visions that reflect a sensation of indisputability and serene contemplation, combined with subtle details of odd or eccentric, humoristic elements. By applying abstraction, he wants the viewer to become part of the art as a kind of added component. Art is entertainment: to be able to interact with the work is important. His works establish a link between the landscape’s reality and that imagined by its conceiver. These works focus on concrete questions that determine our existence. Tragico currently lives in Bad Sachsa, Germany. Tragico completed 1975 as Draftsman at the Negros Oriental State University. Philippines. Tragico studied Civil Engineering at the Silliman University in Dumaguete City, Philippines, but stopped it and travelled in January 1979 to Germany /Europe in Order to explore the World of famous Artist.
