Government and politics Amos Scholars, Samuel Olajugba and Kwabena Osei had the opportunity to intern at the Institute of Government. Samuel said ‘I had a wonderful experience last summer with the Institute for Government. I was fortunate enough to work on the annual Parliamentary report, which focused heavily on the performance of the government during the height of the COVID pandemic. I was able to learn how to collect data and formulate graphs, as well as analyse datasets.

This enhanced my understanding of Parliament, which was an interesting experience especially from a quantitative perspective. I am grateful to the Amos Bursary for this internship opportunity as I was able to develop myself and learn new skills that will definitely contribute to the remainder of my academic experience in university.’
