International Women’s Day (IWD) campaign

The first cohort of young women to join the Amos Community in February celebrated International Women’s Day (IWD) 2021. They attended a series of interactive workshops, led by WOW (Women of the World).

This was an opportunity to join in the global conversations with amazing women and girls discussing and developing ideas that will change the world. Some of the students attended talks such as, ‘Women, Power and Change’, ‘I Am Perfect As Me and Female Friendships’. They also participated in the International Women’s Day campaign, ‘I Choose to Challenge’. The Amos Bursary students recorded videos, sent photos and made statements about what they would choose to challenge. These were shared on our social media platforms throughout the month.
