Private Commission

We commissioned a bespoke piece from Temper Studio, a design workshop in rural Wiltshire known for its idiosyncratic, contemporary furniture and structures.

Our collaboration resulted in a unique artwork that reflects the studio’s commitment to craftsmanship and thoughtful design, enhancing our office development with a piece that is both aesthetically pleasing and conceptually engaging.

Markel Corporation is a leading SME-focused expert in providing integrated insurance, tax and legal services, has taken 20,000 sq ft on a 15-year lease.

Markel UK’s divisional managing director, Neil Galjaard, explained:

DLA Piper is a leading global law firm and has signed a lease to take 83,000 sq ft of prime office space at City Square House in the largest private sector pre-let deal in Leeds in the past 20 years.

THE EWART has attained Wired Scored Platinum Certification.

The number and size of telecommunications ducts entering the building have been appropriately specified in the design to ensure the building is able to accommodate multiple service providers. The building’s Telco Room has been designed to prevent damage to service provider equipment from localised flooding.

Two diverse intakes on different sides of the building have been implemented in the design to enable diverse routes for incoming service provider cabling. Two communication risers will support diversity and protect against potential disruption.

The building’s design incorporates dedicated, secure and climate-controlled space for service provider equipment to be located.

A back-up generator has been specified to supply emergency power to service provider equipment.

TalkTalk Business, Openreach and Virgin Media have fibre infrastructure in the vicinity.

Construction of a seven-level development, which comprises two interlinked office buildings providing almost 250,000 sq. ft. of ultra-modern Grade A office space in a unique location at the heart of Edinburgh’s UNESCO World Heritage site..

The two buildings are connected by a double height link bridge and an atrium ‘spine’ that opens up views to Calton Hill and brings light and street level activity deep into the buildings at ground level.
