Our story began in 1969 as a bakery in Naantali, Finland. Today we serve bakeries, food industry and professional kitchens in Finland and internationally. We own three brands: Condite, Capsi and Promix.

Condite is part of OFI

Orkla Food Ingredients (OFI), is one of Orkla’s 12 portfolio companies.

It supplies ingredients to a broad range of customers in the bakery, food industry and plant-based markets.

We at Condite are proud to be part of these tens of companies that form this family-like business community. We work closely together with our sister-companies and support each other to achieve our cusomter’s most ambitious goals. Through our sister-companies, we are also able to provide even more broad product selection for our customers.

Sustainability and Safety

Being part of Orkla is a promise of a quality and sustainability. The same strict product safety requirements are set in all operating countries.

Every supplier needs to sign Orkla’s Code of Conduct and we also require the BSCI-sertificate. We also monitor the supplier’s SMETA / SEDEX activities.

Condite’s operations are BRC-certified both in terms of production operations and intermediate products.

It is a matter of honor that all the raw materials and food products that we deliver have been produced in a way that is safe for people, animals and the planet. We ensure this by working closely with the entire supply chain. Our goal is 100% sustainable raw materials – regardless of the product category.

We are committed to investing in our people and facilities to ensure world-class technical expertise in food science, ingredient functionality, and product formulation. Over the years, we have developed numerous private-label products for our clients in the food industry. We collaborate closely with our customers to solve their needs and develop innovative products to them. When we design a product together, the customer will own exclusive rights to the developed product.

Customer-oriented approach

All our innovations are based on a market need such as private label assignments or a direct need from consumers. Here are two examples:

Mousse, that has no taste

Customers were complaining, that all mousse bases on the market have some side flavours. Beacause of this, many of them stopped using the products even though they had a need for it. Our salesperson noticed the complaint, Condite accepted the challenge and started an innovation project like no other.

Soon, our product developers introduced Promix Natural Mousse: a tasteless mousse base that has no side taste. It is easy to use and provides a great base for both sweet and savoury cooking. Its perfect fluffy and airy texture has already enchanted many of our customers.

Bay Leaves - but powdered

Sometimes innovating is simple. Bay leaves are commonly used in broths, stews, soups, you name it. But they may create challenges due to the unappealing size. We decided to powder them in our spice factory. Simple as that! The demand for Capsi Bay Leaves Powdered has positively exceeded our own predictions and we are happy that Condite has solved yet another demand in the market.
