La UCJC y la Universidad de Buckingham firman un acuerdo de entendimiento docente
UCJC and the University of Buckingham sign a memorandum of understanding
La Universidad Camilo Jose Cela, perseverante y avanzando en su propósito de adherirse a la internacionalización, tanto sola como junto a las instituciones académicas más innovadoras, interdisciplinares y sociales, ha sellado en su Campus central de Villafranca un importante acuerdo marco de entendimiento docente, investigador y profesional con la University of Buckingham.
University Camilo José Cela is persevering and progressing in its goal towards greater internationalisation alongside the most innovative, interdisciplinary and socially committed academic institutions. A teaching, research and professional memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday with the University of Buckingham at the UCJC central campus in Villafranca.
El Rector de la Universidad Camilo José Cela, Samuel Martín-Barbero, estuvo acompañado en la firma por John Drew, Decano de Humanidades de esta universidad británica, reconocida públicamente en dicho país por el Ministerio de Universidad y Ciencia como una de las cinco mejores en satisfacciónexperiencia del alumno. Es, además, poseedora del galardón TEF Gold. ■
The Rector, Samuel Martín-Barbero, was accompanied by John Drew, Dean of Humanities of this UK university, named one of the top five universities in the UK in terms of student satisfaction by the Minister of State for Universities and Science. This university has also been awarded a Gold TEF rating. ■
La UCJC presenta su nuevo servicio personal para sus estudiantes, Alumno 360º Los alumnos de la Universidad Camilo José Cela cuentan ya con un servicio personalizado creado por y para ellos, Alumno 360º, que les ayudará a solventar cualquier tipo de incidencia o duda que puedan tener durante su estancia en la UCJC. Este proyecto, que arrancó el 22 de febrero, cuenta con espacio físico ubicado en el Student Hub del Campus de Villafranca, y dispondrá de otro espacio en el Campus de Almagro. Además, los alumnos podrán reportar una incidencia, duda o sugerencia a través del portal online. Con Alumno 360º, la Universidad Camilo José Cela pretende facilitar al alumno su experiencia universitaria, con un servicio resolutivo, cómodo, con facilidad de contacto y que supone una nueva manera de que los estudiantes se relacionen con su universidad. ■

La UCJC acoge la exposición pictórica ‘Los Derechos Humanos en la Cultura Islámica’
UCJC hosts the exhibition entitled Human Rights in Islamic Culture
El Campus de Almagro de la Universidad Camilo José Cela ha sido la sede elegida para acoger la exposición pictórica de caligrafía árabe ‘Los Derechos Humanos en la Cultura Islámica’. La muestra, que se expuso en el Salón de Actos, consistía en una colección de cuadros que ejemplifican la cultura y caligrafía árabe a lo largo de su historia.
The University Camilo José Cela Almagro Campus was the venue chosen to host the Arabic calligraphy exhibition entitled Human Rights in Islamic Culture. The exhibition, housed in the Assembly Hall, consisted of a collection of paintings that exemplify Arabic culture and calligraphy throughout history.
Nieves Segovia, Presidenta de la Institución Educativa SEK, agradeció, en su discurso de inauguración, que la UCJC haya sido el lugar escogido para ubicar esta exposición, además de la presencia de un colegio SEK en Catar. “Unir la educación y la cultura con una muestra tan excepcional como la que se inaugura en nuestra sede universitaria nos llena de satisfacción y de esta manera se estrecha las relaciones entre España y el Estado de Catar”.
Nieves Segovia, President of SEK Education Group, gave thanks on behalf of UCJC for the opportunity to host the exhibition, and for the chance of opening a SEK school in Qatar. “Bringing together education and culture with such an exceptional exhibition as the one that opens at our university fills us with satisfaction and forges ever closer ties between Spain and the State of Qatar.”
Jaber Al-Marri, Ministro Plenipotenciario de la Embajada de Qatar, también dedicó unas palabras en las que explicó cómo cada uno de los cuadros de la exposición se corresponde con un verso de El Corán y hace referencia a los Derechos Humanos, y destacó que “el intercambio de estudiantes entre España y Qatar es un reflejo de la importancia del diálogo cultural e indicativo para tender puentes entre culturas y civilizaciones”. “España siempre ha sido un lugar de convivencia y de entendimiento entre pueblos, culturas y religiones diferentes”, añadió Al-Marri.
Jaber Al-Marri, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Embassy of Qatar, also said a few words in which he explained how each of the paintings in the exhibition correspond to verses from the Koran and refer to Human Rights and highlighted that “the exchange of students between Spain and Qatar is a reflection of the importance of cultural dialogue and indicative of the bridges being built between cultures and civilizations.” “Spain has always been a place of coexistence and understanding between different peoples, cultures and religions,” added Al-Marri.
Entre los invitados al acto, se encontraban personalidades como los embajadores de Ecuador, República Dominicana, Costa Rica, Colombia, Panamá y Perú, además de miembros del Consejo Directivo de la Institución Educativa SEK. ■

University Camilo José Cela students now enjoy a personalised service created by and for them, Alumno 360º, helping them solve any doubts or problems they have during their stay at UCJC. This project, launched on 22 February, is physically located in the Villafranca Campus Student Hub, and will have another space at the Almagro Campus. In addition, students will be able report an incident, and address any doubts or suggestions through the website.
