Known as Gregg to those who know him best, he lives in Fair Haven with his wife, Lynn, and their two children Tristan, 17, and Emma, 15 who both attend Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School. He is the co-founder of H&S Tax and Wealth Advisors, LLC in Red Bank with his business partner Charles Harris. Born and raised in West Orange, Gregg operated a family-owned business after graduating from Seton Hall University in 1989. In 2000, he began a 10-year career at Fidelity Investments serving primarily as Vice President in Fidelity’s Private Client Group. During his tenure, he provided financial counseling to more than 300 families with assets in excess of $1 billion. In 2010, he joined Registered Investment Advisor, working in a fiduciary manner as a Chief Financial Planner™. Gregg is also a five-time Ironman Finisher, including the Ironman World Championship in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Meet your neighbor, Gregory Shaw. What I do: I am the co-founder of H&S Tax and Wealth Advisors. LLC, started in 2017. At H&S we educate and provide conflict free guidance affording each client to make sound financial decisions, specifically in the areas of wealth planning, investment management, and tax preparation/planning. What sets me apart: Our vision at H&S is to offer the expertise of an accountant, financial planner, and wealth manager, all in-house! Working exclusively with the founders who are a CPA, CFP® and CDFA®, respectively, clients benefit from the collaborative process that helps maximize their potential for meeting life goals. Most rewarding part of my career: When a client tells me “the only person I trust with my finances is YOU”.

My business goal: To continue to meet the right clients, not just “any” client. The most challenging part of what I do: Trying to manage a prospective client’s expectations whose only focus is the daily/weekly fluctuations of the market and whose emotions dictate their investment strategy. My best life tip to share: Don’t spend more than you make, save often, and be aggressive in spending down debt. My favorite quote: Wealth is not what you make, it’s what you save. The person who most influenced my career: My father, who died when I was sixteen. He owned his own service station and everyone trusted him. Organizations to which I belong: Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Institutional Divorced Financial Analysts (CDFA®). In addition to supporting various charitable causes with a focus on epilepsy, St Jude and education, I volunteer my time and services by providing pro bono financial planning guidance to those families affected by cancer at Family Reach. Family Reach is a national non-profit dedicated to matching families with a pro bono financial planner to help manage challenging financial matters during a difficult time. What you should know about me: I practice what I preach. I provide the same guidance to a client as if they were a family member.
