The tour Let us take you first to visit Santa Bárbara Castle, which is the focal point of Alicante. It is a magnificent fortress, built on a mountain ridge 200 metres above the sea level. It is the most famous castle in the province, both for the history and for the fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and the city of Alicante. Leaving the castle, your trip continues into the city centre. You will pass the lovely 16th century baroque Church of Santa Maria, which was built on the site of an ancient Arab Mosque. Then your guide will take you into the Cathedral of San Nicolás de Bari. The plain exterior belies the magnificent chapel, considered as one of Spain's finest examples of high baroque architecture. Alicante's City Hall is another impressive example of the lavish baroque style. Note the small disk on the first step that marks the sea level and is used as a gauge for levels all over Spain. After this, there will be some time available to browse around the shops and cafes in this area before returning to the ship.

It has recently been designated two areas of World Heritage by UNESCO. A surprising botanical phenomenon like the Imperial palm-tree, an eight-armed specimen.
The tour Elche Palm Grove, prehistoric in its origins and modern in its outlook, it is a favourite tourist attraction among Spaniards. You will find it hard to believe that with more than a million palm trees this is actually the biggest palm-tree reserve in Europe, as well as one of the European cities with the highest percentage of green space per inhabitant. On our way we will visit The Huerto del Cura, a 13,000m2 orchard categorised as an artistic garden. Inside visitors can enjoy a harmonious combination of Mediterranean and tropical plants in an atmosphere of calm and tranquillity while the palm trees, the garden's true stars, endow it with their unique aspect. Before leaving Elche we shall visit the magnificent Church of Santa Maria, a 16th century church, built on the site of an ancient Arab Mosque, where the Elche Mystery Play, a sacred lyrical drama is held every year. After a busy day, we will return to Alicante and visit its Old Quarter, where we will see the Cathedral of San Nicolรกs de Bari and the Town Hall. Before returning to the pier, we will drive to Santa Bรกrbara Castle built in the 16th century, which will offer us the last magnificent view of our tour: the whole city of Alicante, its monuments and beaches.

The tour It is an old town with many historical features, one of which is the Arab castle of the “Atalaya”, standing over the city. The first citizens lived at the foot of the fortress. This ancient yet modern city, warmly receives all visitors who wish to get to know about the many aspects of this town. For museum lovers, you will find out that Villena has a lot to offer. We recommend you to visit the Archaeological Museum “José María Soler”, housed at the Municipal Palace. Here you will find one of the most important treasures of the Bronze Age in all Europe: “El tesoro de Villena”, comprising of 60 gold and silver pieces as well as several prehistoric artefacts found in 1963. It is also worth mentioning this gothic temple: the church of Santiago. After the visit through Villena, we will go on to Biar.

The tour Located in the Alto Vinalopó region, the region has developed around its castle. Still standing are its double-walled perimeter and its fortified tower, the last vestige of Islam. Gorgeous Guadalest, one of the most visited villages in Spain

Guadalest or Castell de Guadalest can call itself a “charming village” without fear of exaggeration. This village with no more than 200 inhabitants is one of the favourite places for people who prefer to visit a different inland town, full of local colour. Guadalest is located quite near the famous, tourist destinations such as Benidorm, Altea or Calpe. The picturesque tiny town is situated in the valley with the same name, in the middle of a wonderful route full of steep rugged landscapes of mountains covered with pine forests.
The tour The tour begins at 09.00 am from Alicante harbour to Guadalest, passing through the villages of San Juan, Campello, Villajoyosa, La Nucía, Polop, and Callosa. The coach will make a short stop to let visitors have a taste of the typical wine of the region, Moscatel wine. After this stop, the next village will be Guadalest, an old town within the walls of a ruined castle, perched high on top of a peak, with tiny streets which have steps up to the castle. Here, in Guadalest, we shall visit the old town centre with its Town Hall, as well as the ethnological museum. In Benimantel, at 15 minutes from Guadalest, do not miss the visit to the Valley of Eagles, a Nature Centre, which is devoted to birds of prey. In a natural setting of matchless Mediterranean beauty, the visitor can admire eagles, hawks or vultures, besides learning about their characteristics and habits with guided free-flight observations.

Orihuela offers the visitor a great place to enjoy the sea and sun, and a monumental city centre. While staying in this municipality, it is a must to visit the monumental city. Its Historic-Artistic Site has five National Monuments. An urban layout that is the result of its former rank as a University and Episcopal Centre. A town which has one of the largest cultural heritages in this area.
The tour Departure 09.00 am from the port and drive to the town of Orihuela. First of all we shall visit the beautiful Palace of Rubalcava, the Marquises in residence until 1950. Built at the beginning of the century, on grounds where a mosque had once been, it has a beautiful baroque and gothic style. Moving on we will visit the Cathedral of “San Salvador”, built over an old mosque of the 14th Century. This monument has several chapels of very different architectural styles. Next the “Museo de Arte Sacro” (Museum of Sacred Art), with a very important art gallery including paintings by Paolo de San Leocadio, Pedro Orrente, and the most significant, “ The templations of Saint Thomas of Aqunius” by Velazquez. Orihuela, the capital of the Vega Baja region, boasts five national monuments: Santo Domingo Convent, San Salvador Cathedral, Saints Justa and Rufina Church, Episcopal Palace and the Santiago Church. After your relaxing break we will return to Alicante where you can visit the old town.

The tour Marq, placed within the old Hospital of San Juan de Dios, has been renovated and accommodated to hold this investigation centre. The museum covers over 9000 square metres, dedicated exclusively to Alicante's archaeological heritage. MARQ was conceived as a vanguard museum. The incorporation of new audiovisual and info graphic technologies permits a reconstruction of the customs, rituals, and beliefs of our ancestors. The pieces exhibited make it easier for the visitor to get a feeling of the history while surrounded by this environment. The museum is divided into different exhibit areas which show the prehistoric and Iberian world, Roman, Modern and Contemporary cultures, and the Middle Ages, with the most modern technologies and interactive panels to show the life of these different periods. Apart from the exhibits, the Marq also gives a detailed explanation and reproduction of the work process on an archaeological site, either on land or under water. Situated within the residential area of El Aramo, in the Sierra de Altea, the Golf Club Don Cayo has several firstclass installations, making the sport comfortable and enjoyable. Also, the situation of the club on the mountain’s side, offers brilliant views of the Mediterranean and of Altea’s bay. The Don Cayo Club has a nine-hole par 27 course, and putting green. The club offers a service of hire buggies, bags and clubs, and a golf school headed by a team of professionals willing to initiate everyone who is interested. Inside the social club, as a complement of the sport, there are cafeterias, shops and a car park. The climate in the area is mild with average summer temperatures of 28º, with approximately five days of rainfall; during the winter months, the temperature can reach 16º, or even more. Rainfall during winter is more frequent (approximately 20 days).
