SEIFSA PIPS is any institution’s best insurance against price variability eroding margins and sustainability, irrespective of whether the entity is a client, supplier or service provider. It is important to safeguard against project cost overruns by periodically reviewing and adjusting your contracts by using the SEIFSA price indices.

SEIFSA PIPS to:

Account for changes in domestic and international price

Account for your contract cost adjustment

Can you afford to let price changes negatively impact on projected gains on contracts and on the sustainability of your organisation?

Improve organisational sustainability

Minimising government project cost overruns

How Companies benefit from using SEIFSA PIPS

• By using SEIFSA PIPS, a buyer in a contract can be certain that market-related increases are paid out to suppliers (as determined by a Contract Price Adjustment calculation), ensuring the sustainability or improvement of organisation profitability.

• Companies/trading partners can protect their profit margins from their existing or new contracts by using the SEIFSA PIPS.

• Municipalities, SOEs, government departments and mining companies in South Africa have done exactly that – i.e. make use of SEIFSA PIPS in their Contract Price Adjustment.

NOTE: The Theory and Calculation of Contract Price Adjustment is now offered digitally, embracing the 4th Industrial Revolution.

SOLUTIONS 14

Reviewing and/or drafting Legal documents

The drafting of legal documents is one of the most intellectually demanding of all lawyering skills. It requires knowledge of the law, the ability to deal with abstract concepts, investigative instincts, an extraordinary degree of prescience, and organisational skills.

A well-drafted document is equivalent to a strong argument and can make or break a case! A legal document – whether it is a contract, a written statement or an affidavit – serves two purposes: informing the audience and engaging both the client and the court about the legal issue.

Reviewing and/or drafting Policies and procedures

Policies and properly worded procedures are to a company what rules are to the players of a game. They are the framework and constraints within which everyone can strive for individual and collective success.
