Saturnino (Tony) Ortega, Sr. 82 of Brighton, passed away on April 9, 2022 in Denver, surrounded by his family. Tony was born on April 6, 1940 in San Isidro Norte, New Mexico to Roberto and Maria Ursula (Benavidez) Ortega. When he was 8 years old, the family moved to Roggen and he attended Prospect Valley High School. The family then moved to Commerce City.

Betty Hake, born on May 16, 1936, unexpectedly passed away on April 1, 2022 at the age of 85. A Memorial Service for Betty will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Tabor Funeral Home Chapel in

Tony is survived by his wife of 32 years, Louise; sister Jo Ann (Tony) Roman; nephew Roman Ortega; children: Manuel (Jeannie), Tunie (Rene), Jerome (Julie), Michelle He married Pauline Sailas and they resided (Scott) Chandler, Tony Daniel (Laura), in Brighton. Their children are Manuel, Daniel (Ramona) Vigil, Patrick Vigil, Ruby Saturnino, Jr. (Tunie), Jerome and Michelle. (Lewis) Dunlap; Grandchildren: Nicole In 1990, Tony married Louise Martinez. Montoya, Jerome Ortega, Jr. (Bubba) (Katie), Their son is Tony Daniel. Janelle (Joe) Howard, Maya Ortega, Ashlie Tony worked as a Brighton policeman and (Gustavo) Curiel, Dario (Augusta) Ortega, retired from the Denver Mint in 1998 after 31 Tori Rich, Tannah (Derek) Douglass, years of service. After retiring from the mint, Mavrick (Grace) Chandler, Decker Chandler, he became an entrepreneur in the piñon nut Ella Chandler, Patrick Vigil, Jr., Raeleen and green chili business. (Marlin) Fox, Natalee Ortega, Tony Daniel Ortega, Jr., Laelonee Ramirez; Allen Tony loved his family. He loved to hunt, (Chantell) Hernandez, Andrew Gonzales, fish and watch the Colorado Rockies (even Christina Vigil, Alex Vigil, and Luisa Vigil; though at times, the Rockies made him very Great Grandchildren: Destiny (Allen frustrated), loved watching wrestling and Romero) Montoya, Faith Montoya, Joy listening to the Oldies.
