Most colleges now provide a website, called a portal that is named something like my.collegename.edu, where you can check your financial aid status, submit documents and find important deadlines. Your username and password were probably sent in an email right after you applied. If you cannot find your username and password, contact your school’s admissions office. On your portal, you might see a message about “holds” on your account. This means that there are some things that you need to do before you can register for classes. If you see any holds, work with your college’s admissions office or with College AIM to take care of them ASAP.
