In mid-January we hit the road with some of our young community members to hear from The Root Cause about the importance of eating the rainbow and the affects food has on our overall health and wellbeing.

Bel from The Root Cause delivered a hands on, engaging and very informative session aimed to support families through making healthier choices when it comes to lunchboxes and meal times. Parents and children learnt about reading packet labels and how fresh foods

grown in nature are the better food for our bodies. The children helped to make a green smoothie and carrot energy bliss balls which they got to enjoy.

Coastline’s Community Foundation has partnered with The Root Cause to deliver this beneficial program to our wider community and empower families with knowledge to make informed choices. We believe in supporting overall wellbeing. We will be holding more of these events soon, so watch this space!

OZ LAP FOR MND

Coastline’s Hastings Valley Business Development Manager, Steve (Wilko) Wilkinson, set off on a 28 day, solo lap around Australia on his motorbike in October to raise vital funds and awareness for MND Australia.

Wilko’s journey was inspired by another of Coastline’s team members, David Owen, who is currently living with the disease. Dave kept Wilko motivated on the road as he made his way from his home in Port Macquarie into North Queensland, across to the NT, down the coast of WA (with an unplanned extended stay in Dampier with bike troubles), into to SA, traveling more than 15,000 kms before returning home. Wilko raised a massive $10,100 for MND and would like to thank each of his supporters who kept him focussed on his fundraising goal (originally $4,000), which he smashed. What an amazing effort! PORT MACQUARIE BUSINESS AWARDS

Coastline is the Presenting Partner to the 2023 Greater Port Macquarie business awards for a third year in a row. The launch event was held on the 7th February at the Water’s Edge Boutique Hotel, Port Macquarie. The awards gala dinner will be held 20th May at Port Macquarie Panthers. We look forward to another year supporting local business through the awards campaign as Presenting Partner.
