salvo’s food and gift drive It has been another difficult year for communities across Australia. And as Christmas approaches – it is becoming increasingly clear that many Australians are going to struggle to have even a modest celebration.
So, tell us... Have you been naughty or nice this year? We might not be Santa, but we always feel pretty generous around this time of year! So if your answer was nice, you could win a huge Christmas basket filled with all kinds of Christmassy goodies for you and your family to enjoy over the holidays. To enter into the giveaway, simply like our social media page, and tag two people in our Christmas giveaway post to be in the running to win this incredibly festive prize! as we say goodbye to 2023... We reflect on all we’ve accomplished for our community this year. Our Community Foundation has contributed a total of $189,542.36 to our local community, with another $102,139.88 given in sponsorships. We provided $20,000 in grant funding to the Glasshouse, giving 3,500 students across 35 local schools the opportunity to experience a number of high quality performances though the Education @ Glasshouse Program.
Last Christmas, The Salvation Army provided tens of thousands of food hampers to those struggling to make ends meet and over 250,000 gifts and toys for families who might otherwise have gone without. As cost of living increases continue to impact our local community, your support is more important now than ever. Coastline is participating in the Salvation Army Food and Gift Drive. Simply, drop your non-perishable items into your local Coastline branch by the 8th of December and support local families in need this festive season.
This year, we’ve spent 175.20 hrs, and a total of 1,183 hrs since January 2019, volunteering and contributing to the success of many events, community groups and not-for-profit organisations. Coastline are so proud of the positive impact we’ve made in our community over the past 12 months and look forward to continuing to support our local community in 2024.
