o ho ho! Calling all little pirates and their mateys to scurry on over to CMOM in their favorite pirate costumes for a fun filled day of swashbuckling adventure! Enjoy an adventurer’s breakfast of chicken minis, fruit and cinnamon rolls before the fun begins. Shiver me timbers! See if you can find the gold doubloons on a scavenger hunt for treasure and pause for a picture with your favorite preschool pirate Jake! Don’t forget to say “Argh” or “Aye Aye Captain” as you get your face painted and make a surprise craft. Admission is $15 for non-members and $12 for members. Tickets must be

CMOM Spooktacular! Saturday, October 31 10am-1pm

Join us for this ghostly gathering as we celebrate the spookiest day of the year! Come dressed in your fang-tastic costume and compete for a chance to win positively defrightful prizes in the creepy/cutie costume contest at noon. The top three winners will receive cash prizes and CMOM memberships. Two more lucky costumed critters will also receive CMOM memberships! There will be ghoulish games, funny bones face painting, chilling crafts, and of course, cauldrons of CANDY! This event is free for members and $12 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased at the door and include museum admission.

Be Courageous and Kind The 5th Annual Children's Ball Saturday, October 3 6-8pm

Princesses and Dukes are invited to dress their best for their walk down the red carpet on this magical night. As guests are announced to their public, they are crowned with sparkling tiaras or knighted with glorious swords. Special guests for the evening include your favorite Glass Slipper Princess and her Prince Charming. The Fairy Godmother has transformed a pumpkin into a beautiful carriage for a special moon lit ride. Enjoy a delectable feast fit for Kings and Queens, make a royal crest and a sparkly necklace, and grab a sweet treat at the candy station. The Childrenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Ballet Theatre will have a special mini performance. Then, dance the night away until the clock strikes 8 and itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s time to dream like dreamers do. Before the magic comes to an end, be sure to capture the moment in a special photograph with the famous couple. One lucky guest will win a drawing for a Swarovski crystal slipper! All Dukes and Princesses must be accompanied by a Queen Mum, King Pop or Royal Chaperone. The event requires formal attire. Members are $40 and nonmembers are $50. CMOM Golf Scramble Since opening 25 years ago, The Children’s Museum of Memphis has been a special place where children and their families discover, explore and learn together. Your participation in the Annual Golf Tournament allows us to continue making a difference in the lives of thousands of children and families each year. The museum is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)3 educational organization. It receives absolutely no government or taxpayer funding. Events like the Golf Tournament are crucial to the museum’s survival - and allow the museum to continue operating its interactive, hands-on exhibits and educational programs. Now more than ever, families need to enjoy quality time together. Every child deserves a safe place where they can experience the joy of hands-on learning and learn skills they need to be successful in life. The money raised from the tournament goes to: expanding outreach programs, providing free workshops for teachers, keeping the exhibits operational, subsidizing group visits, paying for underprivileged families to visit the museum, and providing art supplies for programs.
