The Place Where Play IS Learning! â&#x20AC;&#x153;We create memorable learning experiences through the joy of play in hands-on exhibits and programs.â&#x20AC;?

CALLING ALL AVENGERS AUGUST 15 10AM-2PM Who is your favorite Marvel Comic Book character? Is it Captain America, The Hulk, Spiderman or maybe Iron Man? It’s time to gear up and put on your favorite costume to meet Iron Man at CMOM. It’s a special day to meet this invincible hero while you take a pause from crime fighting for a special photo and autograph. The first 100 children will receive a Marvel book to take home. Get your face painted like your favorite character and join in the scavenger hunt. Don’t miss the Marvel craft table where you can make an Iron Man mask and grab some Marvel coloring pages to take home. Members are $3 and non-members are $15. Tickets can be purchased at the door and include museum admission.

Summer Camp at CMOM!

9am – 4pm daily

Fee: $150 per session (snacks and lunch included)

June 29 – July 3 Masters of Martial Arts Camp This camp is for the karate kids in training. Here we will safely learn the disciplines of ancient practices in sword fighting, kick-boxing, and a variety of martial art forms. Campers will apply mental and physical energy to build self-control and self-esteem. July 6 – 10 Rat-A-Tat-Tat Music Camp Experience fun and funky rhythms while learning about notes, beats, timing and music composition. This handclapping, foot-stomping escapade uses percussion instruments and everyday objects to thump, drum and bang out the musical qualities of your little star. We’re bringing in local artists who will share their tips for success and techniques in music and singing. It’s an action-packed week of downright fun that you don’t want your little star to miss. July 13 – 17 AirHeads Academy It appears that we can’t see it. We can’t touch it or even taste it. Yet, we will investigate the powers of intriguing invisible air. Campers will conduct experiments to support or disprove myths about this fascinating state of matter. July 20 – 24 Camp CSI (Crime Scene Investigations) Campers become detectives to solve multiple cold case files involving forensic investigations. We will examine DNA, fingerprinting, handwriting analysis, and teeth imprinting. Can these cases finally be solved by this investigative team of experts in training? If you are serious about crime-fighting, we will look forward to seeing you this week. July 27 – 31 Motion Commotion Robotics Camp We’re feeding into the natural curiosity of math and science inquiries in a fun, creative setting. Campers will explore motion, science and technology by creating gravity pulled cars made from recycled materials and by designing and programming simple robots using LEGO robotic kits. August 3 – 7 Wildlife Wonder Adventure Camp Curiosity will run wild as we trek into the animal kingdom and uncover fascinating wildlife. We’ll study the untamed behaviors of bears and the bizarre diets of lions. No ferocious animal will escape our sensors. August 10 – 14 My First Classroom ***3 to 4 years So the older children are excited about returning to school. We’ll join in the excitement as you go to school too. This camp will help preschoolers prepare for “real” school. We’ll have subjects in math, reading and science just like “big” school, but tailored to meet the needs of preschool learning. "That's a Wrap" - Special Events at CMOM!

Just in time for Mother's Day, it was a Girl's Night Out at CMOM! Everyone lined up for a little pampering with mini makeovers and manicures. Mrs. Sew and Sew was around to show the ladies how to sew their own scarf while Sewing into Dreams presented a fashion show with all of the designs made by young women! Fusion Fitness created an obstacle course and taught everyone how to take care of their bodies with healthy smoothies. Karaoke and line dancing had everyone laughing, but the Taylor Swift giveaways were the hit of the night! Thank you to all of our moms, daughters, cousins, aunts, grandmas and friends that came out for the night!
