We’ll begin the morning with a scenic chairlift ride up to Mid-Mountain Lodge for a rejuvenating yoga session on the patio, taking in breathtaking views as we awaken the body and mind. Midday brings adventure as we head to the Marina for paddle board yoga—a playful, splash-worthy practice that invites balance, laughter, and a deeper connection to nature. In the afternoon, we’ll retreat into the calming space of the Grange Hall for a deeply restorative sound immersion with guided meditation and gentle Reiki—designed to ground, soothe, and realign. The day concludes with a beautiful dinner at Fern & Feather, where we’ll gather in community, surrounded by nature and the golden glow of the season. This Yoga Day Summer Solstice celebration invites you to honor the light within and around you—through breath, movement, stillness, and connection.

Celebrate Independence Day the Tamarack way at our annual 4th of July Hoedown at the Arling Center! Bring the whole family for an afternoon filled with festive fun, including a delicious BBQ feast, sweet treats from the ice cream bar, and toe-tapping live music. CLUB MEMBER

SPOTLIGHT

DARCY & NICLAS YTTERDAHL

Relocating to Tamarack full-time wasn’t part of the plan—or even on the radar. Originally from the East Coast, I always assumed we’d settle closer to where I grew up and to Sweden, where my husband Niclas is from. But after 25 years in recruiting and a whirlwind journey through Boston, Chicago, Long Island, Pittsburgh, Northern Virginia, back to Chicago, then Houston—we ended up at Tamarack unexpectedly. A spontaneous lunch here after picking up our son from Alzar Semester School in Cascade turned into a life-changing decision.

Despite living in so many vibrant cities, I often felt out of sync with the urban pace. Tamarack felt like an instant fit. Our kids, Beckham and Bailey, now joke about our “cruise ship lifestyle,” thanks to the Club’s endless activities and dining options. But the Club has been more than just fun—it’s been a lifeline.

The fantastic fitness instructors helped me recover from back-to-back injuries with patience,

encouragement, and just the right amount of tough love, as I adjusted to life after competitive triathlons.

For years, I raced around the globe—from Ironman 70.3 Worlds in South Africa to representing Team USA in Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Canada, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. These days, I’ve embraced a new rhythm, finding joy in hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and mountain biking.

What truly sets Tamarack apart is the people. From wine tastings and chef’s dinners to casual happy hours and themed events, the Club’s social calendar makes it easy to connect and feel part of something special. Each gathering is thoughtfully planned, creating natural opportunities to connect, unwind, and feel part of the community. We thought we were just passing through—and ended up finding home.

Q&A WITH BAILEY DOST

Q: In a few sentences tell us a little bit about yourself.

Bailey: I grew up in Idaho and have spent years living in Nevada and Alaska. I love being outdoors and have a passion for intentional movement. My husband and I live in a tiny home in Donnelly with our three-year-old son. You will likely see us at the Tamarack music events this summer and biking along the trails- come say hi!

Q: Where would we find your favorite view point in Tamarack?

Bailey: There is a bench along the Rocky-O trail to Summit that overlooks a lot of the Valley, it is such a serene spot to sit and be present.

Q: If you won the lottery, what is something you would do?

Bailey: I would invest in more active community spaces for Valley County. Rails to Trails from Boise up I-55 and expand a bike-way path through all of Valley County (including Donnelly to Tamarack).

Q: Donnelly is known as the crossroads to recreation, what would you say is your favorite way to recreate?

Bailey: I love hiking and foraging along the trails. We are about to be in morel mushroom season and I can hardly wait!

Bailey: Spring means yoga on sunny porches and planting seedlings. It also means mosquitoes are on the way, not so fun.

Q: What are your top 5 movies in no particular order?

Bailey: Fried Green Tomatoes, Reservoir Dogs, Encanto, A Trip to Infinity, and anything Wes Anderson.

Q: If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Bailey: Indian or Thai Curry- Absolute favorite!

Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

HOMEOWNER AND RESORT UPDATES

WATER FRONT & MARINA UPDATE

Summer wouldn’t be complete without time on the lake. The Tamarack Waterfront will open Memorial Day weekend so book your boat rentals now to get your preferred dates. We are very close to having all our dock space full this summer so if you are interested in that, please contact Grant Mangum at gmangum@tamarackidaho.com. Tamarack has been working closely with the Nez Perce Tribe and the federal government to get final approval from the Tribe that will allow Tamarack to move forward with the development of its full marina with the goal of beginning construction this fall. We are excited about wrapping this process up and are thrilled about the marina —a key step in enhancing our four-season lifestyle offerings.

TAMARACK HOMEOWNER’S ROUNDTABLE

We’re excited to introduce the Tamarack Homeowners’ Roundtable, a new initiative launched in February to enhance communication and collaboration within our resort community. This monthly Zoom session provides an opportunity for homeowners to connect directly with our leadership team, share feedback, and discuss key topics related to Tamarack.

We look forward to hearing your insights—sign up today!

I would love the opportunity to visit with you directly, along with our outstanding resale team: Haden Tanner, Shelly Fisher, and Erik Fisher—each of whom specializes in Tamarack resale properties and provides unmatched local insight.

If you’re dreaming of something new, from luxury condos, maybe one of our beautiful Ponderosa Villas, or a sneak peek at one of our new mountain inspired townhomes coming later this summer; then you will want to set up a time to visit with Jeff Kempthorne, Stephanie McMahon, or Kaila Tanner. They work exclusively on new developer product sales and would love to show you what’s on the horizon.
