THE CLUB AT TAMARACK MEMBER GUIDE
IN THIS ISSUE: LETTER FROM THE CLUB DIRECTOR | SUMMER EVENTS FROM TEE TO GREENS | CLUB MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
We have many exciting events planned for the summer and can’t wait to see you here soon! All event information and reservations must be made through our new Clubster website. Everyone with a current email on file should have received an email invite directly from Clubster. Please reach out if you have any questions!
Tamarack Express now open! Come enjoy scenic lift rides, access to hiking, biking and our new Mid Mountain Lodge! All Sport and Full Club members receive a complimentary Boundless All Season Pass with membership. These member passes have now been issued to your most recent lift pass for the summer. If you have several passes and are not sure which one is active, head over to Tamarack Outfitters and you can try them out in the test gate. If you have lost your pass, or have not had one previously, you can visit Tamarack Outfitters and get a pass issued for a $5 media fee. Also, each passholder must sign the liability waiver each season (summer, winter) before using your pass. There is a QR code sign in the lounge that will link to the liability waiver or head over to Clubster and find the link in the “Tamarack Express Opening” post.
Policy Changes: Our priority is the enjoyment and safety of all our members. For this reason, we’ve revised some of our policies in the Club.
Children under 15 years of age are not allowed to hang out in the Club Member’s Lounge unless accompanied and supervised by an adult. Members are responsible for the conduct and safety of their children when enjoying the Club Facilities. In order to maintain a respectful environment, rough-housing, running, yelling or otherwise disrupting the enjoyment of others, will not be tolerated. Children under the age of 15 are not allowed to use the pool table unless playing with an adult. Use of the pool table is restricted to proper use of the pool table and its equipment. We value each of our members! We encourage you to check out Basecamp as this may be a great fit for younger kids and is an awesome benefit for our club members.
Dogs must be on a leash and well-behaved at all times while on Club premises. This includes refraining from excessive barking and/or growling. For larger events where food is served, we ask that you leave your four-legged friends at home. Dogs are not allowed on any furniture in the Club. Members are responsible for damage caused by an animal owned by the member or under the member’s control. The Club reserves the right to request the removal of any dog that is disruptive or does not adhere to the rules. We love our furry club members and look forward to welcoming them in the Club!
This July, embrace the vibrant energy of summer and dive headfirst into a month packed with experiences that celebrate movement, creativity, and connection with nature. From sunrise yoga flows to lakeside brunches and mountain trail adventures, Tamarack offers something for every mood, every interest, and every level of outdoor enthusiasm.
Kick off the month with Mountain Yoga Day on July 5th, a full-sensory celebration of wellness that blends movement, mindfulness, and mountain air. Imagine starting your day with invigorating, mountain-inspired yoga flows, feeling the sun on your skin and the cool breeze drifting in from the peaks. Test your balance—and your sense of humor—with paddleboard yoga on the lake, then refuel with a stylish, nourishing lunch designed with wellness in mind. The day continues with guided meditation sessions, space for reflection, and even a gentle Reiki experience, offering subtle energy healing surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. It’s a day to move, breathe, and reconnect with yourself and the landscape.
If you’re craving a more regular rhythm of relaxation and renewal, join us for Mid Mountain Yoga, held weekly at one of the most scenic spots on the mountain. After stretching and flowing with panoramic views all around, stick around for Art Hour, where you’ll get the chance to tap into your creative side. With the mountains as your muse and the open air as your studio, you’ll experiment with colors and textures while soaking in the serenity of your surroundings. No artistic experience required—just bring your curiosity and a willingness to create.
For those looking to add a competitive (yet playful) edge to their weekends, our Member Pickleball Clinics are back by popular demand. Led by Club member and resident pickleball enthusiast Ken Kester, these clinics are designed for players of all levels—whether you’re picking up a paddle for the first time or looking to refine your drop shot. Held every other Saturday, the sessions focus on skills, strategy, and of course, fun. It’s a fantastic way to stay active and meet other members who share your love for the game.
If water is calling your name, don’t worry if you missed our first group paddle outing—there’s another chance to hit the water on July 17th. Picture a peaceful summer morning, gliding across glassy waters, the lake still and quiet except for the rhythmic splash of your paddle. After working up an appetite, we’ll dock for a lakeside brunch, where good food and good company await. It’s an ideal blend of movement and indulgence.
For those craving adventure on two wheels, mark your calendar for Bikes & Burritos on July 24th. Start the morning with a guided ride along Tamarack’s scenic foothill trails—where rolling terrain and mountain views keep things interesting—then reward your effort with a hearty breakfast burrito at the Osprey Meadows Lodge. It’s a morning that perfectly balances calories burned and calories earned.
Finally, as July winds down, round out the month with something a little more grounded and handson. On July 27th, join us for a special Herbal Workshop led by a local botanist. During this immersive experience, you’ll head out on the trails to learn about native plants and their healing properties. With expert guidance, you’ll gather ingredients to create your own teas, tinctures, and salves—beautiful, botanical souvenirs you can take home and enjoy long after your mountain adventure ends.

For golfers looking to elevate their game, literally and figuratively Osprey Meadows at Tamarack Resort offers more than just stunning mountain views and alpine air. This championship caliber course nestled above Lake Cascade is a natural training ground for improving all aspects of your game: from shot-making and course management to mental toughness and distance control.
Osprey Meadows teaches you the art of distance control. Golf balls fly farther at altitude, That means you’ll need to dial back club selections and pay extra attention to your short irons and wedges.
Improvement Tip:
Spend time at the driving range and short-game area before your round, working out how far your irons and wedges are really traveling. If you’re used to sea-level play, adjust yardages down a club (or two) for full shots.
Osprey Meadows rewards precision over power on many holes. Narrow landing zones, elevation changes, and sloped greens mean that hitting fairways and greens in regulation becomes a rewarding challenge.
Improvement Tip:
Play a round focused on fairway-first thinking. Tee off with whatever club gives you the best chance of finding the short grass—even if it’s not a driver. Also, practice your mid-iron accuracy on the range beforehand, as you’ll face plenty of approach shots from uneven lies and variable yardages.
With undulating green complexes and subtle mountain breaks, the putting surfaces at Osprey Meadows are a great training ground for honing your short game and reading greens.
Improvement Tip:
Spend extra time on the practice green before your round, focusing on lag putting and break reading. Take note of how putts tend to drift toward Lake Cascade—local knowledge says “everything falls toward the lake.”
Golf at Osprey is a mental game as much as a physical one. The dramatic scenery, changing winds, and variable lies force you to stay focused, adjust on the fly, and embrace creative shot-making.
Improvement Tip:
Approach your round as a learning experience. Keep stats on your fairways hit, greens in regulation, up-and-downs, and putts per hole. After the round, review where you excelled and where you can improve.
Osprey Meadows isn’t just a beautiful mountain golf course, it’s a teacher. Whether you’re learning to control distance at elevation, making smarter decisions, or developing mental resilience, playing here makes you better.
Don’t just play Osprey Meadows—let it improve your game.
Dillon, the oldest of the Bodily crew, is both a baseball player and an avid golfer. He’s currently studying petroleum engineering at the School of Mines. His most exciting new role? Becoming a dad! Dillon and his wife recently welcomed the family’s first grandbaby—someone they’re already dreaming of teaching to golf and snowboard at Tamarack in the years to come.
Brooke Bodily (22)
Brooke, the oldest sister, is heading into her third year at BYU–Idaho studying Resort and Hospitality Management. A world traveler and adventure seeker, she spent time working as an au pair in Switzerland—soaking up the culture and exploring Europe. Back home, she’s a 4.0 student who stays active with pickleball, snowboarding, surfing, hiking, and golf. Brooke cherishes family time and loves how Tamarack brings everyone together.
Colter just finished his junior year of high school and is passionate about baseball and golf. He’s a three-year varsity letterman, holds the school ERA record, and won the Idaho Junior Tour event in McCall. When not competing, he’s mountain biking, wake surfing, or snowboarding. After graduation, he hopes to become a pilot or PGA club pro. His favorite place? Tamarack’s golf course.
Kelton Bodily (15)
Kelton, the youngest brother, just finished his freshman year and is already making a name for himself. He recently won the 2025 Idaho High School Individual State Golf Championship and was named First Team All-Conference in baseball. With a passion for competition, he loves testing his skills on Tamarack’s challenging golf course. Whether it’s golf, pickleball, boating, or snowboarding, Kelton is always on the move—and always with family nearby.
Q: Can you tell us a hidden gem in Valley County that only locals know about?
Terri: The front porch of my house! We are directly across the valley from Tamarack about 100 ft off the valley floor. The views of Tamarack and West Mountain are amazing!
Q: Donnelly is known as the crossroads to recreation, what would you say is your favorite way to recreate?
Terri: You’ll usually find me out on the boat, exploring a hiking trail, or relaxing with a glass of wine on the porch (that’s recreation, right?)
Q: If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Terri: I’ve always wanted to learn to play the harp.
Q: If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Terri: Pan seared scallops with white bean ragu from Chef Topple!
Q: Summer is here, so what are some of your favorite (and least favorite) Summer traditions?
Terri: Fireworks, smores by the fire, long days and warm weather- Yes! Mosquitoes - no.
Q: In three sentences or less tell us a little bit about yourself.
Terri: Wife to an amazing husband for 27 years. Mother to 5 of the most incredible people on earth and Amma to one beautiful granddaughter. Daughter of the one true King! (That makes me a princess!)
Q: What book are you currently enjoying and would you recommend it?
Terri: Values Over Valuables by our club member Harmon Kong - everyone should read this!
Q: What are your top 5 movies in no particular order?
Chris: Singin’ in the Rain, Knives Out, Top Gun, Sound of Music, Pride and Prejudice (2005)
Q: What would you name the autobiography of your life?
Terri: ”Dream, Plan, Pivot, Repeat” - Finding Grace and Growth in Life’s Unexpected Twists
Q: What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13?
Terri: Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind so that you will know what the will of God is and live in a way that glorifies Him!
Out on the trail, it’s not just your legs doing the work— it’s your mind, your breath, and your whole sense of being. Each step becomes a chance to reset, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. At Tamarack, we often celebrate the beauty of our surroundings—the towering pines, golden meadows, and cool mountain air—but there’s another landscape just as important: your inner one.
Hiking is more than exercise—it’s a moving meditation. Away from screens and schedules, the mind quiets, the heart steadies, and each step helps you breathe deeper and let go. The mountain doesn’t rush you. It offers space to reflect, feel, and grow. Every uphill push tests
your determination, and every panoramic view rewards it with perspective and gratitude. The small wins—catching your breath, making it past a tough incline, reaching the summit—remind you of what you’re capable of.
What you build on the trail stays with you. The resilience and clarity gained with each climb show up in everyday life—in how you handle challenges, manage stress, and show up for yourself and others.
Whether you’re training for the Top of Tam Challenge or simply enjoying weekend hikes, each step is an invitation to reconnect with yourself and the outdoors. Starting July 12th, join our Club-led hiking groups, held every Saturday morning, and rediscover the simple joy of moving with intention.
Whether you’re hiking, biking, or simply exploring the varied terrain of Tamarack, keeping your joints happy and healthy is key to staying active and injury-free all summer long. Our knees, hips, and ankles do a lot of the work—absorbing impact, stabilizing us on uneven ground, and powering every step and pedal stroke. Taking a few minutes to care for them before and after your adventures can make a big difference in how you feel during and after your time outdoors.
Incorporating joint-friendly movements into your routine helps improve mobility, ease stiffness, and protect against strain or overuse injuries. These simple exercises can warm you up before you hit the trail or help you cool down and recover afterward.
Here are three essential moves to support your joints and keep you moving comfortably through every hike, ride, and mountain adventure:
Sit with one leg bent in front at a 90-degree angle and the other behind you in the same shape. Keep your spine tall. This deep hip opener helps with stride length and balance on uneven terrain. Windshield wiper your knees side-to-side as you switch.
Hold for 30 seconds per side.
Support yourself on a wall or tree, lift your heels, then slowly lower for control. Strong calves help absorb shock during climbs and descents. If you want to really find the burn, join a Barre Class offered weekly in your Club Fitness Center!
Do 10-15 reps, nice and slow.
Place one heel forward, toes up, and sweep both arms toward the ground while hinging at your hips. Reset and repeat. This stretch improves mobility for uphill movement and reduces low back tightness.
Repeat 10 reps per leg.
