As warm weather rapidly approaches, the Club at Tamarack is gearing up for an exciting summer season full of fun, adventure and memories!  Whether you are looking for some extra swing time on the golf course (now open!), anticipating the turning of the lifts and access to mid-mountain and beyond (open June 14) or experiencing the VIP treatment around the resort - we have everything you need to know to make your Tamarack life the best!  We are also ushering in some exciting changes to how you will receive news and updates, and how you can easily take advantage of your member discount around the resort.

Welcome to the Club(ster)! We are so excited to introduce our new communication, information and reservation platform! Clubster has a desktop website and mobile app which you control by selecting how you want to receive notifications; push notifications to your phone, emails to your inbox, or opt out of communication and check the Club at Tamarack homepage at your leisure! You will be able to RSVP for events, find menus and make dinner reservations, communicate with staff, book tee times and make reservations for resort activities, just to name a few. You may update your profile to share your contact with everyone, just friends or share with no one - you control the amount of privacy. And Clubster is by invitation only and completely private for our club members. All members with an email on file will be receiving an invitation from Clubster. If you have any issues, please reach out to me and I would be happy to help!

Membership cards are available in the club lounge June 3rd! These cards will include your picture, membership level, and bar code. This card will be your proof of membership around the resort and not only ensure your membership discount but also will allow you to charge directly to your membership account. These cards can also be programmed as your key card with access to all club facilities! In order to expedite receiving your card, you may send a current headshot of yourself to scheid@tamarackidaho.com and include if you would like to use this membership card in lieu of your current key card or fob. More information will be available regarding these membership cards in our Clubster app!

FROM THE GREENS

ICE BREAKER

OSPREY MEADOWS SEASON OPENER

Abluebird sky. A perfect swing. A new tradition.

At the heart of Tamarack Resort, nestled against the Idaho mountains, Osprey Meadows Golf Course opened its season not with a whisper, but with the confident crack of tee shots echoing through pines. The occasion? The inaugural Ice Breaker Tournament a first-ofits-kind event that brought golfers of all skill levels together for a day of spirited play, community connection, and the unmistakable joy that only the return of golf season can bring.

Where Competition Meets Camaraderie

From the start, the Ice Breaker set itself apart. This wasn’t your run-of-the-mill tournament. It was a single-day scramble format—a style of play designed for fun, inclusivity, and team bonding. Whether you were a seasoned Tamarack member with years of local experience or a first-time player shaking off the rust of winter, the event welcomed you with open arms (and perfectly prepped greens).

A Picture-Perfect Day for Golf

As golfers navigated the 18-hole journey, Osprey Meadows shone in all its natural glory. Designed by Robert Trent Jones II, the course winds through alpine meadows and wooded ridgelines, offering postcard-worthy vistas from nearly every tee box. But the beauty is more than skin deep—this course rewards strategy, precision, and nerve.

On this opening day, the greens rolled fast, the rough was just forgiving enough, and the weather? Ideal. Cool morning breezes gave way to warm midday sun, making layers optional and smiles inevitable.

More Than a Scorecard

As the last putts dropped and clubs were stowed, players gathered at The Lodge at Osprey Meadows for post-round celebration. The atmosphere was warm, the drinks were cold, and the smiles were contagious. With scorecards in hand, stories of heroic shots (and humorous misfires) flew freely.

A Tradition is Born

With the success of the Ice Breaker, it’s clear that this event is more than a seasonal marker—it’s a signal. Tamarack’s golf culture is growing, and Osprey Meadows is at the heart of it. What began as an idea to kick off the season now looks poised to become an annual staple.

The tournament may be over, but the momentum is just beginning. With a full summer calendar ahead—packed with leagues, clinics, and more tournaments.

Golf is here. And so is the start of something special.

CLUB MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

AAfter moving to Idaho in 1987 for work, Arla and I quickly fell in love with the State and all its’ incredible scenery, wilderness areas, and easily accessible outdoor recreation areas. Kind people and great schools kept us here as our sons grew up skiing at Bogus Basin and Sun Valley, playing sports (tennis, soccer, basketball, baseball, rodeo, and more), riding and racing dirt bikes and camping. Our favorite camping spots included Ponderosa and Lake Cascade. We watched and hiked Tamarack for years from the Huckleberry Campground and were finally lucky enough to join the Tam Fam in 2018. The improvements at Tamarack over the subsequent years since then have been outstanding and we are very appreciative of management and ownership.

After a successful career with over 45 years in hospitality management as General Manager and Regional Director for major branded hotel companies, I was able to retire and start spending quality time at Tamarack. One of those early professional designations was the Executive Assistant Director at the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah where I honed my skills. Memories made in Deer Valley, including skiing and working with the great Olympian and father of freestyle skiing himself, Stein Eriksen, and the attainment of a AAA 5 Diamond, 4 Star rating of the lodge, fueled a desire to live in and enjoy a similar experience as the guests I once welcomed.

I have always been an active participant in sporting activities and was fortunate to have an active family; growing up riding dirt bikes with my Dad in the San Fernando Valley, playing baseball and basketball, and after moving to Salt Lake City in high school, I began skiing , golfing, and a few years later, playing tennis. Highly competitive, tennis was integral in my family with my mom owning the best tennis shop in Salt Lake City, winning both singles and doubles championships in the Intermountain region, and later winning a 5.0 National Championship with my Idaho USTA team. After playing tennis for forty years, I was introduced to pickleball at Tamarack during the Covid years.

Pickleball came easy, with it being a fun, social sport with people that are like-minded. It is a lifetime sport with an ability to pick-up-and-play nature and people are having fun right away. As skills improve, fast-paced rallies and strategic play continue to add to the enjoyment and engagement. I am excited to have the opportunity to teach pickleball this summer on the Tamarack courts to newcomers and to help improve the skills of those already in the game. I am grateful for Tamarack’s support in the sport of pickleball and the opportunities to advance my own skills representing Tamarack, winning medals in many tournaments across the nation.

Tamarack’s best feature is, of course, the people here. Homeowners, resort owners, resort management, and TMA are all striving to make continual improvements at the resort and enhance the offerings. We have a multitude of lifelong friends we have made here and always look forward to spending time with them and meeting more!

CLUB LIFESTYLE

CLUB WELLNESS MANAGER BAILEY DOST

As the days grow longer and the sun lingers overhead, June offers a gentle invitation to recalibrate.

It’s the sweet spot between spring’s awakening and summer’s full momentum—a perfect moment to slow down in just the right ways, so we can rise to meet the vibrant months ahead with clarity, balance, and energy.

Mornings come alive earlier now, beckoning us outside for sunrise paddles, barefoot walks, or peaceful stretches in dewy grass. This season encourages us to sync our daily rhythm with the natural world, grounding ourselves in rituals that restore and replenish.

Think movement that nourishes, not depletes— like flowing yoga sequences under open skies, or leisurely hikes that let the mind wander as freely as the path.

June is also about rethinking routines: hydrate often, stretch longer, linger outdoors, and—most importantly—make room to unplug. Amidst nature’s rising tempo, there’s wisdom in creating moments of stillness. A patio yoga session or a quiet moment by the lake can be as invigorating as a workout or social gathering.

As summer’s full buzz approaches, now is the time to reconnect with the practices that keep you centered. Use this month to build habits that support not just your body, but your spirit too— so you can show up fully for all that the season has in store.

HOMEOWNER UPDATES

CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY

As Tamarack continues to grow and new development projects get underway, we want to keep you informed about what to expect in the coming weeks and months. You will likely notice an increase in construction activity in several areas around the community, particularly near the North Overflow Parking Lot, the Recycling Center, the Mail Center, and the Aspen Lot. These projects are part of our ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure, enhance community amenities, and support the long-term vision for Tamarack.

We are committed to keeping disruptions to a minimum and will continue to provide updates as the projects progress.

HOMEOWNER RECYCLING

TMA is in the process of lowering the coverall structure over the Recycling Center. This exciting project will help the structure blend in with it’s surroundings. From time to time the Recycling Center will be closed for construction.

When this happens a temporary area for recycling, garbage and yard debris will be available for you out in front of the Recycling Center. It will be easy to see when you drive in.

TAMARACK EXPRESS AND BIKE PARK

The Tamarack Express is set to officially open on June 14th, launching the season with extended operating hours. This exciting update offers guests more flexibility and time to explore the mountain, making it easier to plan a full day of adventure and relaxation.

To further enhance the guest experience, the new hours have been carefully coordinated with those of the Alfredo Miguel Afif Mountain Lodge. This seamless alignment ensures smooth transitions between activities and accommodations, providing visitors with greater convenience and uninterrupted access throughout the day.

TAMARACK PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

This Summer, Tamarack Property Management is hosting an informational webinar for any owners. The third session will take place in Wednesday, June 25th.

If there are any topics you would like included or if you are not currently in the program and would like to learn more, please email Bianca Oddone at boddone@tamarackidaho.com.
