Stephen Silver recut and improved the Fancy Vivid Pink diamond known as “The Pink Promise” diamond – taking a larger Fancy Intense pink diamond weighing over 16 carats, and cut it down to 14.93 carats in a daring move to improve the stone’s maximum color potential. The result yielded a higher color grade and a higher price tag valuation, selling for just over $32 million today - a world record price-per-carat for any pink diamond over 10 carats – ever. Stephen Silver has cultivated a global network of important gem collectors, thanks to his demonstrated expertise and vision in the field of important colored gemstones.

He’s handled and improved many notable color gems and important historic pieces.

2013 : Maison Fabre renoue avec l’histoire de France en créant deux modèles de gants historiques parfumés avec du talc : Le premier, Marie-Antoinette, est parfumé à l’Eau d’Ange, comme initialement porté par la Reine dans ses gants. Le second, en hommage à l’impératrice, Joséphine, est quant-à lui, parfumé à la rose de printemps. Maison Fabre se voit décerner le prestigieux label EPV Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant par le Ministère de l’Economie et des Finances.

2013 : Maison Fabre looked to history in the creation of two unique models. Perfumed talc was used to bring Marie Antoinette‘s favorite perfume, „L‘eau d‘Ange“, back to life. The second model recalled the romance of Empress Josephine, who preferred a scent called „ The Roses of Springtime“.

Maison Fabre was also bestowed with the prestigious EPV award ( Enterprise du Patrimoine) by the Ministry of the Economy and Finance.

En 2013, Maison Fabre renoue avec sa tradition de ganter les mains du 7ème Art (initiée en 1971 avec les gants de Louis de Funès dans «La Folie des Grandeurs» de Gérard Oury) et conçoit, pour les besoins du film «Grace de Monaco» d’Olivier Dahan, tous les gants portés par la comédienne Nicole Kidman. Un clin d’oeil à l’histoire puisque Maison Fabre gantait déjà les mains de la Princesse Grace lors de son mariage avec le Prince Rainier III de Monaco en 1956.

Parmi les références cinématographiques, Maison Fabre créera également en 1966, les gants de rallye de Jean-Louis Trintignant dans Un homme et une Femme de Claude Lelouch ainsi que les gants de conduite de Steeve McQueen.

In 2013 Maison Fabre was seen again at the cinema, the first time being in 1971 , with Louis de Funes, worn in the film „Follies de Grandeurs». Secondly, Maison Fabre reappeared in Olivier Dahan‘s film Grace of Monaco featuring Nicole Kidman.

This was in reference to the fact that Maison Fabre‘s wares graced the hands of the real life Hitchcock princess at her marriage to Prince Rainier III of Monaco. Equally in the world of film, Maison Fabre created in 1966, the rally gloves of Jean Louis Trintignant, in the movie Un Homme et Une Femme, and in effect those of Steve McQueen as well.

1924 : THE BEGINNING : Our history began in the year 1924, in the city of Millau, Etienne Fabre, master glove maker, founded his glove making enterprise. In the early days he hand cut the leather shoulder to shoulder with his brother. Several sewists came to the factory to collect work and complete in their homes.

1998 : THE FOURTH GENERATION , THE BATON IS PASSED Animated by the same familial passion, Olivier Fabre left his journalism studies to join his brother in the family business. Together they took up the work began by their grandmother Rose and father Louis, breathing new life into the house.

Giancarlo Petriglia, born in 1973 in Milan, since his early childhood showed a particular attitude towards fashion, accompanied by a great artistic sensibility. Artistic director and personal assistant of Mrs. Trussardi, Giancarlo quickly distinguished himself for his common sense and careful study of the market, consolidating these skills through the development of the Men’s, Women’s and Accessories collections.

After spending eight years in close contact with leading figures of Maison Trussardi, continues his experience in different product design departments, and his love for accessories grows consequently. During these years he had close collaboration with important figures representing points of reference in the luxury market, like Nicolas Ghesquière, Vincent Darrè, Mariuccia Casadio, just to name a few. He wins the Who is on Next 2012 edition for accessory promoted by Vogue Italia and Alta Roma. Giancarlo worked in the last 4 year as Artistic Director for the Piquadro collections. Furthermore, he followed the leather goods design directions for other brands such Moreschi, Trussardi and Cruciani, just to name a few.

Isabelle Giordano est la Directrice Générale d’UniFrance. Elle a fait ses débuts sur Canal Plus en incarnant pendant plus de dix ans “Madame Cinéma”... Elle a incarné pendant des années un rôle d’ambassadrice du cinéma français à l’international... C’est une figure et un emblème d’excellence de la France. Elle a été pendant plusieurs années journaliste, productrice et rédactrice en chef pour la TV (Canal Plus, France 2, France 3, Arte) et la radio (Europe1, France Inter). Elle est l’auteur de plusieurs livres sur la politique et le cinéma (paru à l’automne 2013 : “Dans les coulisses d’ ”Intouchables” éd.

Quels conseils donneriez-vous à une jeune réalisatrice et un jeune réalisateur qui souhaitent se lancer dans le cinéma ?

Quel est pour vous l’éthique à respecter pour une marque de luxe ?

Ne lachez rien. Faire fi des préjugés et des obstacles. La passion est souvent le meilleur moteur.

Quels sont les actrices & acteurs qui incarnent l’élégance à vos yeux ? Et, pourquoi ?

De nombreuses actrices et acteurs francais peuvent prétendre au titre de personnalités parmi les plus élégantes : Catherine Deneuve, Gaspard Ulliel, Isabelle Huppert, Léa Seydoux, Marion Cotillard .. Mais chacun sait bien sur que l ‘élégance est aussi une qualité morale, l’humanisme, l’humour comptent tout autant, et les personnes que j’ai citées, à mon avis, ont aussi l’élégance du cœur et de l’esprit.

Le cinéma français bénéficie dans le monde entier d’une image d’excellence, de savoir faire unique, mêlant tradition et modernité. Nous sommes le pays qui a inventé le cinéma; et nous avons aussi un leadership dans de nombreux domaines comme l’animation ou les effets spéciaux. Et nos artistes restent influents comme le prouvent nos 14 Oscars et 4 palmes d’Or obtenus depuis ces dix dernières années.

Culture et Éducation sont des combats similaires, et agir pour que les jeunes se familiarisent avec une culture générale et aient accès à une éducation de qualité est un droit fondamental; même chez nous, il reste beaucoup à faire.

Vous avez une très belle image en tant que « Madame Cinéma » et vous avez toujours défendu le cinéma dans son ensemble et notamment le cinéma français, est-ce vous défendez aussi le savoir-faire français et comment ?

Le gôut des autres et du savoir.

Etre éco-responsable, véhiculer des valeurs humanistes.

Oui car cela va de pair. Aider à exporter des films avec Unifrance, c’est bien sûr exporter aussi une certaine idée de la France, avec son esprit des Lumières, son art de vivre, son attachement à l’art de la conversation et du dialogue, à l’esprit critique. J’ai pu constater à quel point le succès d’Amelie Poulain, ou des films de Jacques Demy (« Les demoiselles de Rochefort » par exemple) à travers le monde avait incité les étrangers à venir faire du tourisme en France ou à s’acheter tel ou tel vêtement ou sac français, à fréquenter les restaurants francais, etc.

J’ai des relations extrêmement intéressantes avec le Comité Colbert, qui a réussi une coordination exemplaire entre les différents acteurs du luxe au service de combats communs et de l’intérêt général; c’est très inspirant pour le cinéma français.

CULTURE & ÉDUCATION Quels sont vos combats en tant que Présidente de l’association « Cinéma pour tous“ ? Quelles idées défendez-vous en la matière ?

Ma priorité est l’accès à la culture et aux savoirs pour chacun d’entre nous Que pensez-vous de la vision de la Femme d’aujourd’hui dans le contexte actuel?

La question est vaste, et le contexte actuel complexe ... Mais je reste persuadée que le cinéma est un très bon outil qui permet de lutter contre toutes les formes de discrimination et de préjugés.

Des guides conseils à la disposition des professeurs et des médias, et diffuser un maximum de films dans les écoles.

Avec “ Dunkerque “ Christopher Nolan a réussi son pari et montre que si l’on offre une histoire originale aux spectateurs, si on le traite avec intelligence, il se déplacera, ce qui va devenir de plus en plus un challenge à l’heure de Netflix. Étrangement, 2018 s’ouvre avec un film “ Darkest hours “ qui traite également de l’opération Dynamo, mais côté coulisses avec Churchill interprété par un extraordinaire Gary Oldman, dont on ne voit pas comment l’Oscar du meilleur acteur ne pourrait pas lui revenir. Réaliser par Joe Wright, réalisateur prodige qui avait déjà abordé le miracle de Dunkerque dans son très beau “ Atonement “, qui contenait une scène en plan-séquence, qui est l’une des plus belles de l’histoire du cinéma. LESLIE PORTEFLIED 1- What is your feeling of being the fastest woman in the world on a motorcycle?

It is a great honor and such a huge accomplishment for me personally. It took much effort to build a motorcycle capable of high speeds, and was a huge challenge for me as a rider! It took a lot of development on the bike to get it just right. I also had to overcome many challenges myself, including my wreck in 2007. It took so much determination to rebuild the bike and come back and set records after being injured.

Racing has many risks and challenges. It takes a special mindset to push hard to accomplish such great speeds!

Quel est votre sentiment d‘être la femme la plus rapide du monde sur une moto?

C‘est un grand honneur et un énorme accomplissement pour moi. Il a fallu beaucoup d‘efforts pour construire une moto capable d‘atteindre de hautes vitesses. De plus, c‘était un énorme défi pour moi en tant que pilote ! Il a fallu beaucoup de travail sur la moto, j‘ai dû surmonter de nombreux défis, surtout après ma chute en 2007.

Il a fallu tellement de détermination pour reconstruire la moto et revenir pour établir des records après avoir été blessé. La course comporte de nombreux risques et défis. Il faut un état d‘esprit spécial pour dépasser ses limites et accomplir de si grandes vitesses.

2- What are you sitting on your car at 234,197mph, what is your last record?

It is different going so fast on a motorcycle. In cars, you have much more protection. In 2008 I became the fastest woman in the world on a conventional motorcycle. I now have been a top speed of 246mph on my turbocharged Suzuki hayabusa. I also set the production class 1000 cc record at 200mph, on a Honda cbr1000, a first for that class! I am the first woman to be in the Bonneville 200mph Club on a conventional motorcycle as well. All of my records were challenges and I enjoy the challenges of racing them. The motorcycles are very different from each other. It’s an exciting feat.

Que ressentez-vous sur votre moto à 234,197 mph (376km/h), quel est votre dernier record?

Le sentiment de piloter une moto est différent et plus dangereux que conduire une voiture. On a

aucune protection. En 2008, je suis devenue la femme la plus rapide du monde sur une moto conventionnelle. J‘ai maintenant atteint une vitesse maximale de 246 mph (396km/h) sur mon Suzuki hayabusa turbocompressé. J‘ai également établi la classe de production 1000 cc à 200 mph, sur une Honda cbr1000, une première pour cette classe! Je suis la première femme à être au Club Bonneville 200mph sur une moto conventionnelle. Tous mes records étaient des défis et j‘apprécie de les surmonter. Les motos sont très différentes les unes des autres. C‘est un exploit passionnant.

3 - You‘ve opened a motorcycle dealership in Dallas, the Amilcar Club defends entrepreneurs and even more so when it comes to a woman, what advice would you give to succeed?

I’ve had many businesses over the years. I enjoy the challenge of starting and growing a business. I also had a construction company and built houses. I tend to enjoy businesses that are viewed as male dominated! I have had many people tell me that I shouldn’t be in the motorcycle business or race them. I think those people are wrong! It is so nice to see more women in Racing, motorcycle businesses, and riding in general. I don’t care for stereotypes. I enjoy working on things and the challenges of business. I recently opened a beautiful boutique Tattoo studio and motorcycle shop, called InklingStudios. My husband is an amazing tattoo artist (he did my tiger!) and we are enjoying the business.

Vous avez ouvert une concession de motos à Dallas, le Club Amilcar défend les entrepreneurs et plus encore lorsqu‘il s‘agit d‘une femme, quels conseils donneriez-vous pour réussir?

J‘ai eu de nombreuses entreprises au cours des années. J‘aime le défi de démarrer et de faire croître une entreprise. J‘ai également eu une entreprise de construction de maisons. J‘ai tendance à profiter des entreprises qui sont considérées comme dominées par les hommes! Beaucoup de gens m‘ont dit que je ne devrais pas être dans le secteur de la moto ou encore moins de les piloter. Je pense que ces gens ont tort! C‘est tellement agréable de voir plus de femmes dans les courses et de les voir piloter au quotidien. Je ne me soucie pas des stéréotypes.

4- The luxury you could not do without?

Motorcycles of course! As well as many things.... shoes. I love shoes! My BRM Chronograph.

It is my favorite watch. It’s a precise piece of machinery, and reminds me of the intricacies of my high tech racebikes. Even though I love to work on bikes and race, I also enjoy fashion and luxury.

Quel est le luxe dont vous ne pouvez pas vous passer ?

Des motos bien sûr! Ainsi que beaucoup de choses .... des chaussures. J‘aime les chaussures! Mon chronographe BRM. C‘est ma montre préférée. C‘est une pièce de machinerie précise qui me rappelle les subtilités de mes vélos de course high-tech. Même si j‘aime travailler sur les vélos et la course, j‘aime aussi la mode et luxe.

dans le quartier de Chepstow Villas, avec les magnifiques maisons au style victorien, le fameux “Strawberry fields” dans la tête, que j’écoutais le matin même dans le café des Beatles des studios D’Abbey Road, m’emmène vers les couleurs vives des façades de Porto Bello Road et son célèbre marché. On pense à Coup de foudre à Nothing Hill et la bibliothèque d’Hugh Grant, toutes ses boutiques colorées issues des caraïbes. Rouge chez Alice’s Antiquités ou Henri Gregory, bleu chez Chloé Alberry, noir chez Stumper & Fielding ... On flâne joyeusement entre créateurs, salons de thés, antiquaires. On peut déjeuner juste en face la Boutique All Saints et ses machines à coudres en vitrine, chez Earl of Lonsdale Pub, ambiance typique et cuisine très sympa, fauteuil club, bière Samuel Smith, un chilli ou un poulet grillé, un pudding ... le charme anglais opère : “Let it BE” !

‘ai souhaité vous parler de la Pyramide de l‘Or, ce lieu et ce symbole exceptionnel et hors-normes, d‘un point de vue architectural mais également un emblème qui valorise les métiers d‘art, depuis sa création. Depuis que je suis rentrée dans ce bâtiment construit par la société Eiffel (réputée pour la construction de la Tour Eiffel, de la Pyramide du Louvre et du Pont de Millau : société Eiffage) à Saint-Amand-Montrond, j‘ai été touchée par l‘énergie qui émane. orsque l‘on découvre la ville de Saint-Amand-Montrond, on découvre des personnes touchantes, des artisants d‘art, des entreprises innovantes telles que l‘entreprise CLERC (imprimerie historique spécialisée dans l‘imprimerie de pointe et haut de gamme), mais également des entreprises d‘un très haut niveau, dans le domaine de la bijouterie et la haute joaillerie, reconnues à l‘international.

uverte au premier trimestre de l’an 2000, la Pyramide de l‘Or est une pyramide de verre et d’acier de 34 m de haut et de 4600 m2. Au sommet de ses quatre quartiers repose un diamant (fictif), symbole de la bijouterie Saint-Amandoise. L‘idée de la Cité de l‘Or est née à l‘instigation de la municipalité de Saint-Amand-Montrond et de son Sénateur Maire Serge Vinçon. Avec neuf entreprises travaillant l‘or et le lycée professionnel de bijouterie Jean Guéhenno, la Ville de Saint-AmandMontrond est un important pôle bijoutier français spécialisé dans la fabrication de mailles en or semi massif.

‘Or fait partie de la commune depuis 1888 et c‘est pour promouvoir et développer cette activité qu‘elle s‘est dotée d‘un équipement unique, la Cité de l‘Or.

épartie sur deux niveaux, elle révèle les créations des plus grands artistes nationaux et internationaux et accueille les jeunes talents pour des expositions temporaires.

istoire : C‘est en 1990 que le Conseil municipal de SaintAmand-Montrond, alors présidé par Serge Vinçon, décide de la construction de la Cité de l’Or et en 1996 que les travaux sont confiés à la société Eiffel sur une création de l‘architecte C.Allibert. La même année, Saint-Amand-Montrond reçoit le label Villes et Métiers d’Art. En 1998, le choix de la ligne de bijou exposé à la Cité de l’Or est effectué.

AINT-AMAND MONTROND, VILLE INTELLIGENTE : a Ville de Saint-Amand-Montrond a reçu le label d‘argent des Territoires Innovants dans le cadre du 14ème Forum National des Interconnectés en présence de Mounir Mahjoubi, Secrétaire d‘Etat au Numérique. Saint-Amand-Montrond s’engage aussi vers la voie de l’innovation pour créer la « Ville de demain ». Être « Ville de demain », ce n’est pas seulement réaliser des économies pouvant aller jusqu’à 15% dans les consommations d’électricité, de gaz ou d’eau en s’appuyant sur la technologie novatrice des capteurs communicants, c’est avant tout le faire en préservant une qualité de vie essentielle. Choisie comme Ville pilote, représentative des villes de 10 000 habitants, Saint-Amand-Montrond teste depuis 2013, avec Lyon, Issy-les–Moulineaux et Quimper, le service de télérelevé de 91 capteurs communicants, M2Ocity.

En mars 2016, Saint-Amand-Montrond fut la première commune de France à installer un dispositif de 21 capteurs « place-minute » exclusivement destinés à booster le commerce de proximité en Centre Ville. En investissant dans cette technologie qui fait appel aux objets autonomes et connectés, Saint-Amand-Montrond assure à long terme le contrôle de ses ressources et le bien-être de ses habitants.

’‘est bien là qu’est l’objectif d’une démarche Smart and Safe City (ou ville intelligente et sûre). L’arrivée de la 4G, et très prochainement de la fibre, sont un atout majeur pour développer l’activité économique et commerciale de la Capitale du Boischaut. Mais cette volonté d’aller de l’avant respecte les valeurs qui font de Saint-Amand-Montrond une Ville où il fait bon vivre.

orsqu’en l’an 620 suivant les pas d’un bénédictin sur les bords de la « Marmande », les bâtisseurs d’un monastère disciples de Saint Colomban, tracèrent le berceau de la ville naissante, et trouvèrent refuge dans la « maison hospitalière » encore nommée le « vieux château » côtoyant aux cours des années dans leur fiefs, vassaux et suzerains. hevaliers de « haute stature » et de « hauts grades » entrèrent la ville chevauchant leurs destriers à l’ombre de leurs bannières ornées d’emblèmes héraldiques, étincelants d’or ! « demeures peut-être déjà philosophales », symboles d’art Royal dans le château sur mon-rond du grand Condé ; Saint Amand le Chastel ,puis saint Amand sous-Mont rond s’éveillaient à l’alchimie de l’or ! éjà de Val D’Or au pays d’Orval les mutations se succédèrent et si le Seigneur de d’Orval et de Saint Amand avait droit de voirie, d’aulnage, de marchés et de foires, la foire dite D’Orval du 27 vendémiaire à nos jours marque l’entrée dans l’automne doré ! Le plomb de l’œuvre au noir se tinta de rouge lorsque les bijoutiers à leur arrivée rue des vielles prisons fondèrent les premiers lingots… ien des familles entrèrent dans ce monde alchimique, où les paillettes d’or, finement enduites de Borax , chauffées à la flamme du chalumeau, par le souffle léger du maître bijoutier soudaient les mailles des précieuses chaînes... où les fermoirs hermétiques « cliquaient » en fermant le petit « huit » de sûreté des somptueux bijoux. Monde de mon enfance où toutes les facettes de ce précieux métal, pourtant de couleur brune fondait dans l’athanor puis ressortait étincelant par le polissage de ces femmes voilées, protégeant leur cheveux de la précieuse poussière d’or ! uoi de plus logique que l’élévation d’une pyramide pour célébrer l’œuvre d’or dans laquelle poètes , praticiens, philosophes, artistes vraiment d’art royal pouvaient dans ce lieu de transmission renouer, sans clivages, Art , Artisanat d’Art , Maîtres d’art…inconsciemment où non échanger leurs secrets …en parlant peut être le « langage des oiseaux » des compagnons bâtisseurs cherchant l’hôtel qui les recevait volontiers….
