We appreciate your consideration and thank you very much!

Eden On the Park The design concept behind this floor was to uniquely engineer the space such that the three glass walls provide magnificent views of the park every second of your stay. The luxurious finishes throughout the space add to the amazing feeling and the hardwood and marble floors, modern lighting and high quality furnishings will leave you feeling spoiled.

Amenities of Eden On the Park: 1- A large master bedroom with a king size bed. Complete with a spectacular walk in closet/ dressing room with numerous built ins and an area for ironing. There is plenty of space to relax on a love-seat or chaise, or if you need to get work done, there is also a beautiful executive desk.

2- A large open-concept common area with a six person dining table, surrounded by a beautiful decorative only stone fireplace and two comfortable seating areas. There is enough space to comfortably entertain a large group, and the seating areas provide somewhere for extra guests to sleep if needed. The family room also has a beautiful work space at an elegant antique desk.

3- There is a TV mounted in the kitchen for the enjoyment of those in the kitchen or its adjoining seating area. There is also a large sectional in front of a 56” TV in the family room for times when you want to relax.

4- You can’t help but feel rejuvenated by the glass walls and marble flooring of the luxurious bathroom. This refreshing space includes: a walk-in shower, Jacuzzi, 38” TV, and a Washlet state-of-the-art toilet complete with a heated seat.

Tips for an enjoyable stay: Wifi: We are pleased to offer you wireless internet during your stay. Our network is called Cisco06510, and the password is 06062012.

Parking and Outdoor space: In addition to the indoor space, you are welcome to enjoy free parking in the driveway and to relax in the beautiful outdoor spaces including both the front and back yards and the patios.

Televisions: The receiver for the TV in the kitchen is located on the backside of the TV, thus it is best to aim the remote at the side of the TV to ensure communication with the receiver. In the family room, the receiver is in the bottom cabinet underneath the TV. It works best to leave this door open when watching TV so the remote can operate properly.

Coffee Machine: To use the Saeco Xsmall Plus, you must first make sure the machine is plugged in and turned on. Before using the machine, please check if any warning lights are on. If the water level is low, the machine will show a warning light of a red water drop. To add more water, just remove the water container from the front left hand side. If there is a red exclamation mark, please check the receptacle on the front right side to ensure it is empty of coffee grounds.

To being preparing your coffee, remove the clear lid from the top of in-unit bean grinder and pour in coffee beans. On the dial in the front middle, you press the top button for espresso or the bottom button for an americano. The dial gives you the options to grind beans, get hot water for tea, or to steam milk. If you use the steamer, please note the end unscrews for easy rinsing. We ask that you please rinse it after each use.

Emergency Panel: There is a home security panel located on the wall in the family room. Should you experience an emergency and require assistance from emergency personnel, just press down on the appropriate service on the touch screen panel and they will be immediately paged to our home.

Thermostat: You can control the temperature of our home with the thermostat located in the hallway to the bedroom. You have the option to leave it on auto mode, or turn on the fan. Please make yourselves comfortable, but ensure the heat is turned down when you leave, and turned off during the summer months. If you are warm in the summer, open the windows to enjoy fresh park air.

Locking/Unlocking the doors:The exterior door operates with a 4 digit automatic code. The codes are unique per guest. Please do not share your personal codes that you were given to check-in. To open the door: When you enter your code, the door will open. To close the door: Press the lock button in the centre and wait until you hear the door closing. Please ensure the door is locked when you leave. There is a key box which houses a door key in case the automaker lock doesn’t function properly for you. To access the key box, you will need to call our emergency number for the code to retrieve the key. The interior doors connecting our two units are locked for our guests privacy. However, the keys will be provided if an upgrade is requested.

Laundry: As guests in Eden on the Park, you must contact us if you wish you to do laundry. We will do our best to arrange access to the laundry room for you, however, please understand that it may not always be possible.

Walking Around There is a lot to explore just outside your door. Take advantage of the beautiful park surrounding you and connect with nature. Our home is located in the heart of the famous Sir Sanford Fleming Park. The park’s 95 acres provides all the space you need, whether you are interested in a quick bike or jog, or a long stroll. The park is very popular and enjoyed by many residents and visitors.

Suggested Activities: Visit the Dingle Tower: Designated a national historic site in 2009, the Dingle Tower, less than a 10 minute walk away, is worth a visit. The views of Halifax’s Northwest Arm from anywhere in the park are fantastic, and the view from the top of the Dingle Tower is the amazing.

Fun for the Kids: At the water’s edge of the park, you can enjoy a picnic in the park watching the sailboats or have fun playing in the sand at the small beach. There is also a great playground for the kids to enjoy.

Get in touch with Nature: The winding forest paths throughout the Dingle park are a great place to wander. Enjoy the peacefulness of nature as you walk the well maintained trails. The loop to the Frog Pond is an easy and enjoyable 1.3km walk.

Photoshoot in the Park: The park is also a great spot for those looking for beautiful backdrops for photos. There might not be a better spot in the city for outdoor photos, especially in the spring time.

Get a Dose of History: During the War of 1812, Deadman’s Island was a military training grounds that turned into a burial ground for American prisoners of war. Deadman’s Island Park is only a 1km walk away, and offers you great views of the harbour as you step back in history.

Go for a Swim: A 2.5km walk away is the popular local swimming spot, Chocolate Lake Beach. The lake is not made of chocolate, but it is still an enjoyable place to spend an afternoon.

Upgrade Upgrade your Stay Our home consists of two separate units, “Eden On the Park” on the upper level and “The Executive Room” on the ground floor . Each unit has a private entrance so our guests can enjoy their privacy regardless of their choice in unit. Availability permitting, guests are able to rent both units and enjoy the entire home.

If you are interested in modifying your reservation to add on to or change your unit, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss that with you.
