The Clínica Universidad de Navarra —the hospital attached to the Universidad de Navarra, after which the hospital is named—was established in Pamplona in 1962 on the initiative of St. Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer. After 55 years, and following the formula of a single hospital at two sites, it has had, since November 2017, a second
campus in Madrid that adheres to the same model as that of Pamplona: that of a teaching and research hospital, with full-time sta organised in multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-focused care.
