WELCOME TO OUR SUMMER HALF TERM 2017 HOLIDAY CLUB AND ACTIVITY COURSE PROGRAMME! This Half Term we have another full, action and adventure packed week lined up.

We are delighted to be able to offer an excellent range of fun opportunities in our usual stimulating and creative environment and the programme will be delivered, as always, to the highest professional standards.

This provides a stimulating and creative environment for young children during the holidays. Qualified and experienced staff will support children to engage in age-appropriate activities with particular attention paid to personal development, interaction with others and, most importantly, fun!

Minis must bring a packed lunch each day.

Registration: Sharp’s House, The Avenue BS8 3EZ Juniors Holiday Club activities are designed specifically with 5–7 year olds in mind. Swimming is an important and enjoyable part of each daily programme and along with other activities, all led by experienced staff, the emphasis is on promoting individual development and, of course, fun. We believe it is important that children are able to pursue interests and develop skills through a range of activities and opportunities.

Juniors should bring a packed lunch each day.

Price: £23 A fantastic opportunity to enjoy outdoor exploration of the landscape. A variety of exciting age specific creative activities linked to the great outdoors will make this morning session rewarding and enjoyable.

Please note that children will travel by minibus to our forest school site at Clifton College Sports Ground, Abbots Leigh with qualified staff. Children will require outdoor clothes, wet weather gear and a change of footwear.

Stay & Play until 1800) Age: 8–13 years Price: £42 (per day) Registration: Number 1 The Avenue (North Town), on corner of The Avenue/Guthrie Road BS8 3HE The typical Kids’ Club day includes a wide variety of activities that 8–13s enjoy. A freetime Swimming session is a very popular part of each morning’s activities. The other three main daily activity sessions are designed with varying interest and ability groups in mind and children can choose from a number of themed afternoon activities that take place both indoor and outdoor around Clifton College’s Sports Centre. Throughout our programme we promote self expression, confidence building and, of course, fun by offering as much choice as possible.

Registration: All courses will register in Number 1 The Avenue at 0945 and will conclude at 1600 unless otherwise stated. All day long courses include lunch.

If a course is taking place at our Sports Ground/ Activity Centre then a packed lunch may be provided due to limited catering facilities on the day.

Archery Date: 30/5 Price: £48 A great opportunity for archers of all abilities including those wishing to try this great Olympic sport for the first time. Expert tuition combining a range of fun games and competitions will improve technique and have you hitting the gold in no time.

Trek It! Date: 31/5 Price: £48 If you have a keen eye for adventure then this is the perfect course! Your day will include navigating an off-road route on our Mountain Bikes and competing with team mates to find the check points on our new Geocaching course.

Supervision throughout the day from our qualified instructors.

Cricket Academy Date: 31/5 Age:

8/9s and 10/13s

Price ÂŁ48 This one day course has been developed specifically to teach the basics of the game covering batting, bowling and fielding in a supportive and fun learning environment.

Professional coaches will bring the best out of young cricketers.

This day will aim to run both as a soft ball course for 8-9 year olds and a hard ball course for 10-13s.

Bushcraft Date: 1/6 Price £48 A true adventure learning ancient skills such as animal tracking, shelter building, cooking on a fire and nature awareness. The perfect opportunity to go wild in a safe and fun environment.

Visiting the countryside will never be the same again.

Tennis Academy Date: 1/6 Price £48

Cookery Date: 30/5 Price £50 Chocodelicious - pizza, cocoa brownies, raspberry and m&m ice cream milkshake.

This one day course promises to be both informative and rewarding. Sweet and savoury recipes will be tried and tested with the results taken home for the family to enjoy.

Children should wear old clothes and bring suitable storage containers to take food home.

This course will be led by qualified LTA coaches. Aimed at the beginner right through to the more competent player, group will be split and appropriate court size and ball type will be used.

Emphasis will be on the techniques involved with groundstrokes, net play and serve.

Please note that this course will take place at Clifton College Sports Ground, Abbots Leigh with players being transported by Clifton College minibus.

Football Tournament Day Date: 2/6 Price £48 Packed full of the usual fun, skills, nail-biting excitement and spectacular goals. Run by professional coaches, teams are chosen and mixed around throughout the day. A fantastic course for all football fans!

Please note football kit, a change of footwear and shin pads are required.
