WELCOME TO HARRIS BOYS’ ACADEMY EAST DULWICH
It is a privilege to lead our Outstanding Academy serving the young people in our local community. Our vision is that students will leave us with the Master Key to their future.
They will achieve excellent Academic Outcomes and develop into Active Citizens, making our local, national and even global community a better place in the future. Our key Active Citizens characteristics which we want our young people to embody are: Ambition, Confidence, Curiosity, Respect and Resilience
We live and breathe this vision every single day here at the Academy. It does not matter where you come from, what your background is, or how many challenges you face because our school is a fully inclusive environment, embracing the diversity and culture from the community we so proudly serve. We welcome all students to our school, regardless of ability, religion or need. When they join us, they go on an amazing journey where we challenge and support them at every turn to be the best they can be. No student gets left behind, and everyone has the chance to flourish at what they want to. I truly believe that education can change lives, and we have consistently done this year in year out since we opened our doors in 2009. Student outcomes are in the Top 5% each year for student progress and we are proud to be one of the best boys’ schools in the country.
There is no better way to judge a school than to speak to those who matter the most. We welcome anyone to come and see the school in action, speak to our wonderful students, supportive parents and nationally acclaimed professional staff. They will tell you how the magic happens and hopefully you will see a setting where your child can flourish.
We look forward to welcoming you to our incredible Academy!

CURRICULUM
Our Curriculum at Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich is exceptional in how broad, balanced and ambitious it is for our students.
At Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) students all, regardless of ability, study the full national curriculum and beyond. Students have weekly lessons in English, Maths, Science, Spanish, Geography, History, Art, Music, Drama, Computing, Design Technology, Religious Studies and Physical Education. This incredible curriculum is supplemented by specialist subjects such as Wellbeing in Year 7, supporting students transitions from Primary school and exploring complex topic such as mental health and neurodiversity. It also includes targeted reading lessons in Year 7 and 8, PSHE in all year groups and Citizenship in Year 9 where all students attend a trip to the Houses of Parliament. The best part of this structure is that students get to explore which areas they can flourish in and before they choose their GCSE options.
In Key Stage 4 (Years 10-11) students specialise by choosing the subjects they want to study. Most students will take 10 or 11 GCSEs from a huge range on offer including all core subjects plus subjects such as Triple Science, Computer Science, Business Studies and Citizenship.
Harris Boys’ Academy East Dulwich has a Curriculum that is constantly evolving to suit the needs of our students. In the fast-paced world we live in, we need to be at the forefront of change. At Post-16 we are one of the first schools to deliver T-Levels, alongside our strong traditional A Level offer in subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, History and Economics.

OUR FACILITIES
The Academy opened in 2009 in our wonderfully modern and spacious building. With incredible views of central London, students are inspired to want to achieve success with us.
Set over four floors, our multi-million-pound building has been designed specifically to ensure the best teaching and learning environment that students can immerse themselves in.
We are full in every year group and unlike other schools, we will not be expanding with the use of temporary classrooms or building projects taking years to complete. Our setting is perfectly formed for the students we have to thrive in their education.
We have an amazing Sports Hall on-site, and students are privileged to get to use the state of the art Kings’ College Sports Grounds in Honor Oak for their PE lessons and fixtures. This provides students with the opportunity to perform at the highest level inside and outside the classroom.
