Year 2

OVERVIEW

They say time flies when you’re having fun and that has certainly been the case for Year 2. It is hard to believe how quickly the year has passed. The children loved stepping back in time to discover the story of Guy Fawkes in the autumn term, which inspired some wonderful writing. This step back in time was complemented in the spring term, when we learnt all about the dedicated nurses who made great changes in healthcare. The children loved the Florence Nightingale workshop, where they discovered even more about this inspiring woman. Everyone loves a day out and we are no different. We have enjoyed many educational trips over the year, visiting the Look Out Discovery Centre, where we got hands on with interactive science exhibits, Wisley Gardens, which included a fascinating plants workshop and KidZania, which was full on fun! The children have worked hard throughout the year, developing in character and confidence. They are ready for their exciting next chapters, and we are so proud of their successes.
