‘’For me each flowers have a representation and means something different. So many different species, so many different meaning It feels like in a city people are not related to nature.

I grew up in the country side and we never buy flowers. My mom made this huge garden, real ly rich in plant. Every time of the year we have flower in the house For my flowers can be leaves, branches, we do bouquet differently every time, using what we found in the garden. I don’t find this relationship to flowers here. Also the market is really poor in term of choices. It’s very limited because it’s imported. My mom always try new experimentations. the flowers here can only survive for a week max and then you have to buy more.

The flowers do not always fit to gether, it’s about understanding that. so we buy flowers that are familiar to us. We are really attached to references we have. When it was covid lockdown, my mom was at least one bouquet a day. we would put them in front of the garden, were the street is. Since everybody was home in the village, people would do a lot of walks, it was the only activity allowed. People would pass by the house and collect our bouquets. At some point, a little girl started to come everyday and would say” hel lo do you have flowers for me?’’.
