introduction

As a keyword, I had “imprint”. I started my research based on my in terest in The Shroud of Turin.

What is the imprint of the afterlife?

My research has led me to explore image ry in the religious realm, with a focus on the beliefs and the imprint/impact of that.

As a starting point, I have developed a broader col lection of images based on categories, that main tain the philosophy of the study of the Sudarium.

As a second category, I have gathered images around the topic of “mask” (a mold, a cast). a more literal approach that symbolizes a materialized negative of a face. That carries that fixed moment of the past, with the emotions that come with it.

From that, I started to collect images of the artifacts of the afterlife. How can we sense the presence of di sappearance of something or someone? How can an artifact (or body parts) be those pieces and symbols of a previous time?

My next category is about the visualization/mate rialization of an ephemeral and immaterial soul. What is gone; has left something. Working around shadows, holes, and time.
