Over the past 8 years, PCL has focused on the development of our company culture and 5 pillars, CRASH (Communication, Respect, Attitude, Support and Honesty) which has then allowed us over the last few years to really inspire success through the growth of our tangata (people).
With the last 2 years bringing incredible difficulty to so many, 2022 has been dedicated ‘the year of our people’ by continuing to provide an environment of encouragement and support to achieve their potential.
Our focus over these years has been to provide opportunity for growth, both personally and professionally, while providing tools to support mental wellbeing, with the guidance of mentors and professionals such as clinical psychologists.
As a company we understand that without our amazing tangata we do not exist, so the continual 123 2CIVIL INDUSTRY TRAINING AWARDS 2022 CCNZ / CONNEXIS development through training with the support of organisations such as Connexis and Te Puni Kokiri has seen our people undertake training in engineering, drainage, surfacing, leadership, Project Management, and mentoring, which in turn provides a sense of ownership, encourages ongoing development, helps people to feel valued in their work and provides further opportunity for growth. This not only provides our people with improved skills and knowledge, but self-worth and encourages their rangatahi. We will continue our path of growth for many years to come, and we are lucky enough to have a phenomenal team that demonstrates that better never stops every day.
