• As in years past, you can register for camps online, in person or over the phone, if space is available, and pay 100% of the registration fee at the time of registration.
Option #2: Payment plan
• Pay the initial payment, a non-refundable fee, at the time of registration, $50 per child per camp. This payment will go towards the camp fee.
•The remaining amount is due before the start of camp. The due date depends on which weeks the registration is for.
• This will be an automatic withdrawal from a credit/ debit card, and will occur on a speci ed date.
• Unsuccessful payments will result in an automatic withdrawal from camp(s). Cardholder is responsible for keeping all credit/debit cards up to date.

The following refund policy applies to ALL City of Shoreline Summer Camps including, but not limited to, Camp Shoreline, Sport Camps, Specialty Camps, Teen Camps and Specialized Recreation Camps.
Full Refunds
There are no longer any full refunds for camps. Any refunds that are issued will be subject to a $50 administrative fee for each weekly camper registration.
Refunds (minus administrative fee) Refunds for summer camps requested by the close of business 14 calendar days prior to, not including the rst day of camp, will be subject to an administrative fee of $50 for each weekly camper registration. After the fee is applied, the remaining balance will be refunded.
Example: Must withdraw from a Monday camp by 8:00pm on the Monday 2 weeks prior.
A participant may request to transfer to another camp with available space. If transferring from one camp into another, the administration fee will be waived. The transfer must be made at the same time as the cancellation and for the same participant.
No refunds will be given if requested less than fourteen (14) calendar days, not including the rst day of camp.
Designed to o er younger ages a positive rst step into soccer, Skyhawks sta will teach the fundamentals and build each player’s con dence through skill-based games and a big focus on fun!. Participants should wear appropriate clothing, shin guards (optional) and running shoes. Don’t forget your water bottle and sunscreen.

Scholarship Program Philosophy
The City of Shoreline wishes to make public recreation programsand eventsavailable to all youth and specialized recreation participants and recognizes that financial hardships may prevent the ability to pay for the feesfor these programs and events. To accommodate these special needs, the City of Shoreline is providing scholarship funds for 2023 programs and events
The 2023 Scholarship Fund provides each qualified participant with $225 for the 2023 calendar year, toward Recreation programsand events A Qualified Participant is a resident of the City of Shoreline and is either under 18 or a specialized recreation participant who is over 18.
*Scholarships are provided by the City of Shoreline on a first-come basis until all scholarship fundshave been allocated.Please note that funds may run out before you are able to use all your assigned scholarship dollars.
IMPORTANT:
If you wish to withdraw from a program or event after registering you must call the Recreation, Cultural, and Community Services office at (206) 801-2600. To receive credit against your scholarship dollars you must request a refund in accordance with our Refund Policy.
SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY - To receive a scholarship, you must show proof of one of the following for your family:
• A letter from Shoreline School District verifying eligibility for free or reduced lunch during the current school year
• A letter fromShoreline Head Start verifying your child’s current enrollment in Head Start

Learn Tai Chi Sword & Hsing Yi Sword. This class will have two levels with a prerequisites of any soft style Tai Chi form. Beginners’ sword will focus on Master Cheng Man – Ching’s abbreviated Yang style sword form. The second level sword will study a 2 person Hsing Yi Sword set. Students need one double edge sword of wood, rubber or collapsible design which can be found easily on-line. No metal swords allowed. The instructor, Mary Newbill, began studying Tai Chi with Dr. Shang-tung Hsu in 1972 and later studied with his master Tao, Ping Siang. She enjoys teaching sword to beginners as they develop momentum and sensitivity through gentle sword play. She is a licensed mental health counselor, a retired public school teacher and an energy worker.

When this happens, the quality of life become low for us as well as others despite any luxury we are surrounded with Gentleness and Kindness are qualities to be cultivated which creates natural joy, serenity, and peacefulness within us. This class is aimed at helping to cultivate more of serene energy; the gentle stretching and guidance will provide a chance to replace old negative energy with loving-kind thoughts. After the introductions, you will be guided to perform gentle movements (based on traditional antient wisdom) to expel tension from the heart, body, and the mind. Lime Kiln Trail explores the historic railroad and mining site with relics from the past dotted along the mossy forest. Hike ends with a 20ft. tall limestone kiln that was operational from 1890 to the 1930’s. Trail is 7 miles roundtrip with about 625ft of elevation gain that is concentrated in one area on the return walk. This hike has hills and uneven surfaces including a rustic bridge to cross and other potential fallen trees to navigate around and over. Please bring a sack lunch to eat along the hike.

North Cascades River Expeditions will lead us down eight miles of the Upper Skagit River. These class 3 and 4 rapids are part of the US Wild and Scenic River system rich with views of mountains, old growth forests and wildlife. This trip is suitable for adventurous beginners and veterans. •Youth under the age of 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult unless participating in a structured recreation youth program. Leaving minors unaccompanied in the facility, or area of the facility, may result in loss of privileges.
•Drop-in participants must sign in at the front desk.
•Appropriateattire is required at all times. This includes wearing a shirt, bottoms, and shoes.
•Communal spaces are open to all.
•Food/drinks are permitted in the lobby areas, Cascade and Olympic Rooms during speci c programming or rentals.
• Water in a sealed container is permitted in activity areas at all other times.
•You must be 16 years of age or older to use the weight room. 14-15 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. No one under the age of 14 years old allowed in the weight room.
•Please maintain control of your weights at all times. Weights may not be dropped or thrown.
•Cardio equipment limited to 30 minutes when others are waiting. Weights and other equipment may not be removed from the weight room.
•Wipe down equipment after use, return weights, bars, and benches to the appropriate areas and/or positions.
•No modi cations of equipment, such as stacking bodes, putting weight plates on pins on cable machines, etc.
•Chairs, cones or any other obstacles are not allowed on the gym oor during Drop-in gym time.
•Personal/Private training is not allowed.
•Hanging on the rim and nets is not permitted.
•Only authorized personnel are permitted to adjust court equipment.
•If you nd an item you believe to be lost, please return it to the Front Desk.

The Shoreline Tempestry Project is a collaborative e ort of several local ber artists to represent global warming data in visual form. Using data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Shoreline Tempestry Project represents the years 1950 to 2022 in a tangible way. “Tempestry” combines the words “temperature” and “tapestry” to manifest local climate change records with vibrant colored knitted and crocheted pieces.

Classes, camps, programs, trips or workshops/ special events cancelled by the City of Shoreline will result in a 100% refund of the program fee paid.
Refunds will not be issued for reasons of inclement weather, unless it results in the closure of the City facility hosting the event during the time of session or rental.
Program fees may be refunded in full for any reason after the rst day of class, as long as the refund is requested prior to the second day of class. Aquatics programs requests must be made at the pool registration desk. All other recreation program requests must be made at the Spartan Recreation Center registration desk.
After the second day of class, but prior to the third, requested refunds will be pro-rated per the registration fee paid and the total number of classes.
Refunds will not be issued after the third day of class, unless an exception is granted. Requests for an exception to this policy must be submitted in writing prior to the fourth class and must be approved by the PRCS Director. The City has sole discretion to decide whether or not to grant this exception.
Refunds may be issued if requested at least seven (7) calendar days prior to (not including) the event date.
Refund requests must be made in writing and submitted to the registration desk prior to leaving the facility on the day of use. All requests are at the discretion of the PRCS Director.

Facility Rentals
No in-person facility rentals. Rentals can be made online or over the phone.
No in-person registrations at City Hall or Richmond Highlands Recreation Center. See page 2 for facility closure dates.
Non-Summer Camps & Summer Camps
Refunds for Summer Camps requested at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to, but not including, the rst day of camp, will be subject to an administrative fee for each weekly camper registration. After the fee is applied, the remaining balance will be refunded. No refunds will be given if requested less than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to, but not including the rst day of camp. In lieu of a refund, a participant may request to transfer to another camp with available space. If transferring from one camp into another, the administration fee will be waived. The transfer must be made at the same time as the cancellation and for the same participants.
Facility Rental Cancellation
Rentals cancelled by the Renter fourteen (14) or more calendar days before the event will be refunded in full. Rentals cancelled by the Renter less than fourteen (14) days, but before 24 hours prior to the date/time of reservation, will be issued a 50% refund of the fees already collected or $50, whichever is less. Reservations cancelled 24 hours or less prior to the rental will not receive a refund. Any Security Deposit received associated with this rental will be 100% refunded.
All registrations associated with special events are non-refundable.
All 10 punch passes expire on December 31st of the calendar year purchased with the remaining punches value refunded.
For those that are on a class waitlist that attend after the start date, requests for refund shall be treated as if the rst day of attendance is the rst day of class.
Class fee refunds will not be pro-rated when registering after the start date except for those entering from the wait-list.

Refunds will not be issued for injury or illness incurred outside of participation in the program unless it is diagnosed as a communicable disease by a medical professional.
The City will inspect the permitted area in the Rental Use Permit after usage to determine if any damage occurred. If damage occurred, the City will assess a cost to x the damage and retain that amount from the Security Deposit. Any remainder of the Security Deposit will be refunded. Should no damage occur, 100% of Security Deposit will be refunded.
All memberships are for the speci ed amount of time from purchase date. Pro-rated refunds are not permitted for unused portion of purchased time.
Requested exemptions from this policy may be submitted in writing to the Recreation Superintendent and require approval by the PRCS Director.
The City may, at its sole discretion, cancel a permit anytime due to an emergency, severe weather which merits either School District or City facility closures, power outage, or situations that may result in facility damage or personal injury as determined by the PRCS Director. In such instances, the permittee will be entitled to a 100% refund. All other permit refunds must be requested 30 days prior to scheduled use.
