Meet our Instructor! Osiris Reynoso-Lotts
Osiris has been teaching dance classes for over 10 years, almost 6 years with the City of Shoreline where she teaches Pre-Ballet and a combination of Ballet, Jazz, and Tap classes. She thought it’d be fun to teach youth dance classes so in 2007, she offered to take over the pre-school and youth classes at a local dance studio she trained at in Yuma, AZ, where she is from. She has loved working with little ones ever since. Osiris finds it so rewarding and heartwarming seeing them express and enjoy themselves through dance. For her, the best part is seeing them onstage at the Annual Spring Recital. It always makes her feel like a proud mom! Osiris was introduced to dance at age 14 (quite old in dancer years). She began her training in ballet and jazz and, after much discipline and dedication, eventually started taking advanced classes in other styles, participating in dance invitations, choreography competitions and summer intensive programs including Dance Educators of America - Ballet Intensive in Las Vegas. Her dance background consists of ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, tap and contemporary. Osiris graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Photography and had a photography business for a few years before she decided to get back to teaching full time. She moved to Washington in 2013 with her husband. They have a 2-year-old pup and are OBSESSED with Disneyland. Osiris enjoys going on walks, organizing, doing DIY projects, cleaning (you read that right), sewing and learning about and implementing a zero/low-waste lifestyle. Such is her love for animals and the planet that she decided to go vegan a year ago: zero regrets about it!
