FALL 2025 CATALOG

INTRODUCTION:

Lifelong Learning @ Rock Hill (LL@RH) is an inclusive community of adults, age 50+, who share knowledge through unique educational opportunities. Each semester, talented volunteer instructors offer a wide variety of outstanding classes and fascinating experiences for interested adult learners. The only prerequisite is a curiosity to learn!

2025: THE CELEBRATION CONTINUES!

Lifelong Learning @ Rock Hill (LL@RH) kicked off the year-long celebration of its 5th anniversary in February with a wonderful event, setting the tone for a vibrant year of learning and connection for the 50+ crowd in our community. Thank you for being part of the excitement—your presence and enthusiasm continue to inspire everything we do!

This fall, we are thrilled to present two special events that will beautifully bookend the semester and keep the celebratory spirit strong. On page 2, you will find details about the combined Open House and Spotlight Presentation featuring Judy Goldman, a Rock Hill native now living in Charlotte. She’ll share powerful stories from her latest publication, answer questions and sign books. We’re delighted to welcome her back home for this inspiring event.

At the close of the semester, we’ll host an encore learning experience with retired professor, speaker and author, Dr. Ashley Oliphant, along with her mother, Beth Yarborough. Together, this duo will offer four different lectures. Details of this event will come later in the fall and registration will open in October. Stay tuned for more.

Between these two special events, you’ll find a rich mix of offerings—familiar favorites you may have missed and over thirty brand-new classes, many taught by instructors joining us for the first time.

Whether you're diving deeper into a favorite subject or trying something completely new, there’s truly something for every curious mind.

As we grow together, we’re also building a stronger, more connected learning community. In that spirit, we ask you to practice a bit of courteous consideration: If you’ve already taken a smaller class, think about leaving space for a new learner to enjoy the experience, too.

Thank you for being such an essential part of LL@ RH. Your participation helps this program thrive. I—along with our staff, volunteers and the Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department—am truly grateful for your continued support.

Let’s keep learning, sharing and celebrating— together!

Warmly,

Learning Coordinator, City of Rock Hill PRT
