We believe Seis Puentes is the natural place to oversee the implementation of our new Municipal Identification Program because of their relationship within the immigrant community. Recently, our city hosted an Open House at Seis Puentes and printed 100 municipal identification cards for residents. The new North Little Rock Municipal Identification Program will benefit the immigrant community and also the elderly, homeless and others who lack any form of identification in our City. Isn’t it intriguing how Hollywood is able to sensationalize the story, utilize computers and catch the bad guy? There is a lot of information at a 911 dispatcher’s fingertips. Access to this information assists the North Little Rock Police Department and North Little Rock Fire Department to respond quickly to incidents and updates them with the call information as the incident unfolds. Public Safety Dispatchers are trained to ask a variety of questions when a call is received in the 911 center. The more information the 911 dispatcher is able to obtain, the better the response time.
