Group Fitness Class Descriptions
Align & Flow
Linking movement with breath, this class offers an alignment-focused flow to enhance mobility and strength while deepening the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Integrating traditional vinyasa yoga and meditation practices. Open to all levels. Weather dependent, this class may go to Lions Park.
All Levels Yoga
Designed for all-level participants who wish to improve their general health and wellbeing through stretching and balance exercises. In this class we will use the chair and wall, as well as mat work to help build strength, increase mobility, and improve lifestyle.
Moving Into Balance
Balance is not only dependent on physical agility and staying upright as we age. It is concerned with inner and outer self-awareness which is even more essential to balance. This class is based on the full yoga path: the simplicity of breathing, stretching, and strengthening. It is also designed to help you experience your own unique being through free movement. After 30 minutes of deep breathing and mindful movement, we turn to a deep guided relaxation in our chairs which naturally flows into a few moments of stillness where we may access our healing inner stillness.
Cardio Lift Interval (INT/ADV)
An interval type format with lifting and cardio aerobics.
Cycling
Cycling enthusiasts, practice your sport in the comfort of a controlled climate. Instructors will take you through the rigors of any-terrain workout. This is NOT a Sunday stroll. Classes are multilevel, work at your own pace.
HIIT (INT/ADV)
High Intensity Interval Training. This class will be fastpaced using body weight and dumbbells.
HIIT Cycling (INT/ADV)
30 Min Series: Cycling but designed for intervals and high intensity. Instructor will take you through different sets/reps/ and intensities to keep your heart rate up.
Low Impact Cardio
This is a fun class to get your body moving and heart rate up. Learn easy choreography that you can have fun with.
Low Impact HIIT & Sculpt
Low impact high intensity interval training combined with traditional weight-training.
Mat Pilates
Pilates mat classes focus on stabilizing the core, improving posture, and strengthening the total body! Putting a fun, creative spin on the 34 mat exercises developed by Joseph Pilates, our Pilates mat classes use your body weight to strengthen and tone the body.
Power Training
This high intensity, weightlifting based class will help sculpt your entire body. Adjustable barbell sets, hand weights, balls, gliders, and resistance bands will be used. Increase balance, core, and muscle strength/ endurance.
Silver Sneakers Classic
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers® ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.
Silver Sneakers Yoga
Move through seated and/or standing yoga poses to increase flexibility, balance, and range of motion. A chair is used to meet a variety of fitness levels.
Tabata
Get ready to sweat, burn calories, and push your limits with this fast-paced, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class! TABATA is a structured workout consisting of 20 seconds of all-out effort followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated for multiple rounds. This method is designed to boost cardiovascular endurance, build strength, and torch fat in a short amount of time.
Total Body
High intensity interval training combined with traditional weight-training moves.
Mind and Movement
This class will combine movement and cognitive engagement with a focus on functional strength, balance, and the brain-body connection. Movements will include seated exercises such as deep breathing, lateral and cross-lateral exercises, as well as standing.
Tai Chi
This class offers a moving meditation with gentle, lowimpact movements, combining T’ai Chi Chih, T’ai Chi Moving for Better Balance, and various Qigongs. These slow, mindful exercises help circulate energy (Chi), reduce stress, and improve overall health. Suitable for all ages and abilities.
Tai Chi Beginner
We will learn a form called Tai Chi for Arthritis Part 1, although it is good for everyone, not just people with arthritis. This class is meant for beginners or anyone who wants to deepen their experience of this form.
Yoga–lates
Merges the practice of yoga with the core stabilizing, posture enhancing dynamics of Pilates. Includes poses to cultivate strength, stamina, stability, and flexibility.
Yoga
Get grounded and connected to your body in this yoga class. We’ll use our breath and movement to calm, center, engage and stretch.
We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing lowintensity and high-intensity moves for an intervalstyle, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check. Registration is required.
