The City Council has approved a Conditional Use Permit for Tractor Supply Co. to establish a facility on a 5.81-acre property located northeast of FM 1641 and west of Currency Circle. The site is zoned as Commercial District, where a Farm Supply Store requires a Conditional Use Permit for operation. The project aims to construct a Tractor Supply Co. facility featuring a 24,000-squarefoot building, a 25,000-square-foot fenced outdoor display area, and supporting infrastructure.
PORTILLO’S SITE PLAN
The City Council has approved the site plan for Portillo’s Hot Dogs, which will be located on a 2.709-acre property north of U.S. Highway 80 and west of N. Gateway Boulevard. The site is within the Village at Gateway planned development, governed by Ordinance No. 24-05, which was approved by the City Council on January 23, 2024. Portillo’s, a Chicago-based restaurant chain, is renowned for its signature hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, and chocolate cake.
BUDGET POLICY
The City Council adopted a budget policy to establish long-term financial stability and provide guidelines for managing the City’s financial operations. The policy outlines the budget preparation and adoption process, including specific details and criteria for the budget package presented to the City Council, such as revenue and expenditure analysis and property tax rate comparisons.
