NEWSLETTER Important Community Update | Elk Grove Safety and Quality of Life Measure E After hearing from over 1,500 City residents and visiting 29 local community organizations, the Elk Grove City Council placed the Elk Grove Safety and Quality of Life Measure E on the November ballot to support essential services with locally controlled funding that cannot be taken by the State. If enacted, Measure E would provide locally controlled funding to address Elk Grove’s community identified essential services, such as crime reduction, rapid 9-1-1, fire, police, medical emergency, and disaster response, keeping public areas safe and clean, addressing homelessness, and fixing and maintaining parks and roads, as well as for other general community purposes. Measure E would establish a one-cent sales tax generating locally controlled funding to address essential services and community priorities. Measure E requires independent citizen oversight, annual audits, and public disclosure of spending. By law, all Measure E funds stay local in Elk Grove. More information about Measure E can be found at: www.ElkGroveMeasureE.com
