One of the items on this year’s ballot is Measure B. This Sacramento County-wide half-cent sales tax increase would raise more than $3.6 billion over 30 years, if approved. This money would be used to repair roads and bridges, and leverage state and federal transportation funds for needed projects. In Elk Grove, Measure B revenue will help rebuild and extend Kammerer Road, construct the Whitelock Parkway interchange on Highway 99, invest in “complete streets,” make bike path and pedestrian improvements, and install transportation technology systems. Check your ballot guide or the registrar of voters at elections.saccounty.net or learn more about Measure B at sacramentogo.com.
