Updated Trails Plan on Path for Approval

Our City’s robust bike, pedestrian, and trails network enhances our quality of life by providing recreational and exercise opportunities and transportation alternatives--it connects us to our parks, open spaces, waterways, and beyond. Our Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Master Plan has provided the framework to guide and influence not only the policies and programs that improve accessibility and safety but also the improvements and additions to our network. After a year of working with residents, stakeholders, and experts, Elk Grove’s Bicycle, Pedestrian, and Trails Master Plan Update is nearly complete and will be presented to the City Council for consideration of approval this spring. With plan approval, we’ll continue on the path to help make biking, running, and walking in the City more safe, comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable for all.
