Eden Prairie residents are represented by a Mayor and four at-large City Council members, who delegate all administrative duties to the City Manager
The City Council typically meets on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p m at City Center. Before each meeting, Council members gather with City staff members for a 1-hour workshop at 5:30 p.m., where they dive deeper into City topics.

Bike Safety
Bicycles and e-Bikes are allowed to operate on paved multi-use trails and roadways, including the unpaved Minnesota River Bluffs Regional Trail While riding bikes on concrete sidewalks is legal, it is not recommended; riding on asphalt trails is encouraged. Parks are generally open 6 a.m.–10 p.m. To ensure everyone can safely enjoy them, the City prohibits glass containers, smoking or vaping, camping, golfing, off-leash pets, fires outside designated areas, swimming beyond beach boundaries, fishing close to a beach, and killing or removing wildlife

Recreational Vehicles
Up to two recreational vehicles may be stored on residential property If stored in the side or rear yard, the recreational vehicle must be a minimum of 10 feet from the property line If stored in front of a house, the recreational vehicle cannot be on the lawn and must be on the driveway at least 15 feet from the roadway

Security Alarms
The City allows up to three false alarms per calendar year at no charge After that, fees apply: $100 for the fourth, $200 for the fifth, and $300 for the sixth and any additional false alarms within the same year
Snow Emergency and Removal

Solid Waste
Disposing leaves, grass or tree limbs is not permitted in any street, right of way, sidewalk or other public property You may place waste containers at the curb up to 24 hours before your pickup and containers must be removed from the curbside within 24 hours after the scheduled pickup.
