Lisa Intro As a newly appointed employee of the City of American Canyon, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Lisa Johnson and I have joined the Parks and Recreation Department as a Program Coordinator for the Senior Center. Most people would say I am a career “Recreator”, because I have over 30yrs experience working in the field. I recently retired from the City of Mill Valley after 16yrs as a Recreation Supervisor. After retiring early I wanted to get back into the field part time, so here I am! I am very excited to start this next chapter in my life. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and having the opportunity to add a little more “Play” into your life. On a more personal note, I currently live in Vallejo with my husband, Andre. I enjoy reading, crafts, kayaking, watching Giants baseball, hanging out with friends and family and recreating.
The new 2019 Fall Playbook has arrived! Can you believe it’s time for all our favorite Fall activities? The Playbook is full of fun classes, programs and events for all ages happening right here in American Canyon. Check out the Active Adult Section for adult fitness, clubs, classes, events and new day trips! New day trips include a day of baseball in Oakland to watch the Swingin’ A’s along with a trip up to Apple Hill to take a tour of the area along with sampling some yummy apple baked goodies.
